HT3210 When I go to Java Preferences, the Java SE 6, 32-bit is installed, but when I work in Fireworks, I get the message, JRE 1.4.2 is not installed. How can I install it or what's the problem?
When I work in Fireworks, for some functions, I get the message "JRE 1.4.2 is not installed." I checked the Java Preferences and it shows "Java SE 6, 32-bit is installed" Does anybody knows what the porblem is or how I can install JRE? Thanks!
Disable the Skype extension for Firefox - both versions if you really have two versions installed.

Imac frozen at blue screen after i went into disk utilities and cleaned free space.

Am i right ok in thinking that
when i went into disk utilities and chose to clean my free space i left it over one hour to do its stuff
i came back and there was no progress bar just the box so i quit the program and when i opened mac mail the system just froze i forced quit mail rebooted and blue screen death
Now when free space is being cleaned is it the same as windows dose the utility write lots of 0 on the hard drive then rebbot its self to free the space
basicly is my hard drive full of 00000 is this why im getting this message because the process was interupted

You are probably seeing this message because the camera uses the same port to charge it. The iPad can not supply the power to charge devices from it's dock connector. Also if you use the SD card adapter you are not using up the camera's battery for transferring the photos.

If it shows $23.71, then you still have credit. Just buy something.

I use Ebates. Now when I go to Ebates and choose a store, then the transfer to store website comes up and then an error message that firefox cannot find the listed server. I keep getting that message alot.
On the frontier homepage there is an error message that firefox cannot find the ad server for yahoo.
I was having problems with firefox so I did a reset firefox and then installed the new version 31.
Seems it might be draggy or slow/sluggish. I like using Ebates. I contacted them and they said they were not having any issues at the moment. I contacted my antivirus provider and they said they could not detect anything either. I just bought an ipad mini with retina display. On my settings page it shows an update occurring for ios.7.0.4 with the message "Estimating time remaining..."
This update and message appeared last evening but doesn't seem to complete. It also says "downloading", but nothing is happening.
How can I complete the download or eliminate it?If it's slow on startup it would be extensions loading or LaunchDaemons starting up.
You should have a look in:
/Library/LaunchDaemons
/Library/Extensions
You can count out anything in your home folder and it shouldn't put anything in /System as that's reserved for Apple. -

That suggests that the installer is getting damaged during the download.
I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:

I am using Win & Home edition / Mozilla Firefox on my HP laptop. On Oct 8 I used Lightroom to export images to Facebook. Now when I try to repeat this, authentication fails as The address wasn't understood

The export process was working, but isn't now. I have ben having problems with Firefox - I wasn't able to retain the settings for opening with my own Homepage (kept going back to Firefox default. So I have done a reset. Seems that this has somehow disrupted the authentication process. Can you help please.I just dropped into the forums to see if other people were getting the DVD burning verification error (Error code 0x80020063). I've been holding off on the Tiger to Leopard upgrade until very recently. All of my must-have apps were anecdotally stable and I was under the impression that 10.5 was too. Apparently reliable DVD burning is Tiger only, at least on my systems.
We've been burning Taiyo Yuden DVD's almost daily with Tiger with incredibly low failure rates. After what seemed to be a smooth upgrade of a Mac Pro tower & 2 MacBook Pro laptops (one is a Core Duo and the other is a Core 2 Duo) I've spent the entire afternoon troubleshooting until I ended up here. Some searching on the board leads me to conclude that this will be a bigger headache than I imagined.
I've done all the obvious stuff (varied the burn speed, moved the files to a different drive, reset PRAM & SMC, used a different account, deleted finder.plist, tried repairing the system with DU on the Leopard install disc and then I tried burning on different computers with different media). What I'm finding is that over 50% of my DVD's are throwing the error code during verification across 3 different models all running Leopard 10.5.2. CD burning seems to work as before (but we don't use this as much so ?). I saw that some people had posted that closing the finder window helped, but that didn't improve my overall failure rate. The DVD's appear (indentical byte size and item numbers) to be burned correctly and usable, but I need to be sure so I can't trust them.
We need reliable DVD burning for our business and this is a real problem. I was going to trudge over to the Apple store, but it doesn't sound like there's a real fix yet. -
Player skins - How can we best share them, what is the preferred method?
MXML provides a format for interchangeability but am I right in assuming we need Flex to author/modify UI Look and Feel? Can we use Flash with MXML or Fireworks and import to OSMF, what is best practice please?

In answer to your question, I would like to see true (2.5D (including a basic Z dimension feature for stacking elements)) multi-layer layouts exported straight from fireworks, this would allow the positions of elements to be shifted/tweaked after the initial player startup without the 'flattening' and de-objectifying the elements that simple 'cake cutter' bitmap exports will have.
It will also allow fancy branding and a future for possible animation of elements such as visual skewing or zooming to suit different screen dimensions, this would give a "1 set of player gui elements" fits all screens/handsets feature and allow for 'inplay screen flips' for handheld users without loading 2 layouts.
Rich media presentations, as opposed to simple video, will need everchanging player layouts and branding while playing the mixed media.

You may see that message below the Google search box on www.google.com/firefox which is the old Firefox default home page. That page is no longer being maintained by Google.
You should try changing your home page to:
about:home
If you don't know how to change the home page, you should take a look at the Knowledge Base article [[How to set the home page]].
