HT3214 drivers for sony

I have a Mac Book Pro and a Sony video camera. When I plug the camera in, it is not recognized in the Device list and does not allow me to import movies or photos? So I need to download a driver?

You aren't running Windows, so posted in wrong forums.
You want Lion or somewhere else.

  • Drivers for Sony Webbie MHS-CM1 for webcam/streaming support

    Hi drkvizard85,
    Welcome to the Sony Community!
Upon checking the specifications of your unit, you would need the CD-ROM containing the Picture Motion Browser Portable software to be able to use the camera as a webcam. Unfortunately, this program has been discontinued and replaced by PlayMemories Home. This newer software only enables transfer, playback, edit and burning files saved in the camcorder, but it won't enable you to use the USB streaming functions of this unit. Sony has discontinued production of the program discs.

  • Connect camcorder drivers for a Sony CCD-TRV608 Hi8 Camcorder for Windows 8.1. How do I SOLVE? New camcorder?

There are no drivers for a Sony CCD-TRV608 Hi8 Camcorder for Windows 8.1.  How can I solve this problem?  Do I need to buy a newer or different model that plays video8 and videoHi8 tapes that IS compatible?  Its a shame because I searched for months for the power cord and bought connecting cords for USB and the old fashion three RCA plugs for a VHS VCR and now I cant use them.

Dear Comrade VideoGeek, Yes, I am extremely frustrated, and you have my sincere apology if I was rude to you.  I should have known better than to say unwise and unkind things to you.  My bad entirely.  Sorry!! The things you don't know are that Windows 8.1 does not under ANY circumstances acceps USB video streaming.  Not from my camera and not from Dazzle or ANY other device or cable.  That is written into STONE by Microsoft.  Can't do nothing about it.  That's a barrier that cannot be broken or worked around. The other thiing you don't know is that I do not have RCA outlets on my camera.  I bought it assuming it must have as most devices until then did and got it home in 2001 or whenever and found to my great dismay that it ONLY has a USB output.  Not multicolored RCA jacks of any kind.  That is also a barrier that I cannot break unless I buy a used camera that takes my tapes and DOES have RCA outputs.  My bad.  I should have returned it immediately at the time, unfortunately I was too ill at the time to do so. I know you were only trying to help.  I'm sorry if I was snippy with you.  You were extremely kind to try to help.  And I appreciate you.  Hopefully other people will see your answers and they will help them. Meanwhile, I'm banging my head against the Apple walls trying to find out which product of theirs MAY be able to work for me and which is the best solution for me all around and that too is a nightmare. Thank YOU for being so kind!!  And for respoding  with kindness.

  • Sony VAIO (VGN-NW130D) - Will Sony provided Windows 10 drivers for this model?

Hello Sony, I have a Sony VAIO (VGN-NW130D). I purchased it new in 2009. It had Windows Vista preinstalled and a bought a Windows 7 disc for my computer. Here are my questions: http://community.sony.com/t5/VAIO-Windows-10/Windows-10-upgrade-Information/m-p/513320#U513320In the above link PeterT mentions the models that Sony will provide Windows 10 drivers for. Will these be the only models Sony will provided drivers for? http://esupport.sony.com/CA/p/os10upgrade.plIn the above link Sony says it will provide drivers for models that had Windows 7 and 8 preinstalled. What if you bought a Windows 7 disc? I have tried to install Windows 10 by forcing it to do so by command prompt, and by Installing it from Microsoft's website. Both tries where unsuccessful. It would get stuck on the black upgrading screen at 32% overall and 6% installing windows features and drivers. I reserved my copy of Windows 10 and my computer meets Windows 10 requirements. If my computer meets Microsoft's requirements my PC manufacturer should provide the Windows 10 drivers. If Sony choose not to provided Windows 10 drivers for all their PC that are compatible with Windows 10, it will be really off putting and resulting in me never purchasing another Sony PC. It tarnishes a company's reputation when they do unfair things like this. This would just not be fair Sony. Sincerely,Concerned Sony customer (thinking of switching to a Mac after this horrible experience)

Hello, Thanks for the replay. How do you know what vendors our computers need drivers from? Do you know if Microsoft might provide us with drivers? Been reading some of the other posts and found out that Sony has sold the VAIO brand. I will never be buying another Sony computer or other Sony products again. This is just bad customer service.Sony has said that we will have to get drivers from Microsoft.  Or we will have to use the drivers that come with Win 10.  You have to read other topics in this forum to find this. I have two VAIO's that aren't on the Sony supported list and one VAIO that IS on the supported list. I have to wait until Sony proivides the drivers for my supported VAIO. I will have to wait until Microsoft provides drivers for my other VAIO's. I have a fourth desktop generic PC that I have upgraded from XP to Win 7.  I tried to install Win 10 on it but the Win 10 video driver only supported VGA for my legacy video board.  I rolled Win 10 back to Win 7 and I will wait until I can get a Win 10 driver for my video card.  If I can't get one, I will have to replace the video board with something that has Win 10 drivers. I won't have that option for my VAIO's because I can't replace the video boards.  If Microsoft or GeForce don't provide a driver for my video boards, I will not install Win 10.  I don't like it as much as Win 7, from what I've seen so far.

  • New BETA drivers for TV@nywhere Master

there was a thread somewhere before where someone had found some updated BETA drivers for the MSI TV@nywhere Master card but it seems to have gone now
i've been using them for a while now, and they're very stable, and the picture quality has improved somewhat
they say they are for the Master version of the card, but i think they may work on the Mega PC version, the only difference is the Master has a AM/FM tuner as well
anyone having stability probs in media center III or MSIPVS might want to try them out and see what happens...
i've uploaded them to my webspace, and you can find them here in ZIP format: http://www.ukshazam.com/downloads/8606Master_drv.zip
please note these are BETA drivers and as such MSI won't support them (as if they do anyway
i'll also post this in the Mega PC forum

As I recall when this BETA driver started flying around the forum, they WERE NOT official or unofficial MSI drivers. They were modified by a user from another forum and someone from this forum posted a link to them. THESE ARE IN NO WAY RELATED TO MSI DIRECTLY!! Someone reversed engineered the driver and probly thru extensive testing, via trial and error, was able to clean up the driver to give the result that most have had with them. This doesn't mean that everyone is going to have the same result, which is and has been the reality with any add-on card produced since PC's came out...compatibility issues DO still exist out there and not all systems are going to play in the sandbox well with all add-on cards that are manufactured...something to keep in mind when purchasing new systems...
Furthermore, it's been my experience that proprietary systems (The Pac-10 as I call them...IBM, Dell, Gateway, HP, Compaq, Sony, eMachine, etc...) have more issues than White Box systems when it comes to add-on compatibility. If you don't know this already, most of these companies DO NOT want you to purchase off the shelf items from Best Buy, CompUSA, etc...they want you to have to come back to them for upgrades and add-on devices, at higher than retail prices, and that's where they make the most profit. Sad reality, but true. Case in point: My first retail purchased PC was a Dell XPS Pentium 100, (my prior PC's were purchased from Michael Dell's garage) I wanted to upgrade it to a 4X CDROM drive and Dell had failed to include the snap in side rails for their new innovative case that was tool-less. So I called up Dell support and asked if these rails were available. The CS Rep told me that they were so I asked how much. She asked me if I had bought the upgraded device from Dell and I said no. Then she informed me that they wouldn't sell them to me ($6.00 US) because I hadn't purchased the upgrade device from them. Needless to say I was pissed. This was circa 1995-96.
Anyway, over the years of doing network consulting, I can't tell you the countless times that I've heard this type of thing on the phone from many of the above listed companies...yes, most have gotten better over the years (Like Dell including all of the rails needed inside the case nowadays) but overall they still have the same mindset and it's much more subtle when they design a motherboard that won't play in the sandbox well with retail bought components...*shrugs*
I got tired of playing their game after a while and started building my own systems. I found White Box isn't always better either but for the most part it's been a far cry easier than buying proprietary...
Just my 2 cents here for what it's worth...

  • What Vaio Models Are The Updated Drivers For Windows 10 Going To Be Compatible With?

I have a Sony Vaio (Model Number: VPCEJ16FX) and am wondering what models of Vaio will be supported by the updated drivers?

I understand that Sony is not to support endless models of the computers that have been placed by them out on the open market, however Microsoft itself has found a need to include windows 7 computers within their list of computers eligible for a free upgrade. As such, when Sony tells us that they will not participate in the upgrade, they essentially tell me that if they create a product that fails, that they will not support it at all, and leave all their loyal customers to fend for themselves. I have been a long time supporter of Sony and have unbelieveably been an ambassador for their company, for years since I was a child, I owned Sony Walkmen, minidisc players, DVD players, televisions, ALL OF MY COMPUTERS EVER WERE SONY, sony rewards, sony wheelers (wheel of fortune) club, Countless car stereos, home stereos, Sony dream machine alarm clocks in every room, playstation, PS2, PS3, periferals, cases, Imagestation, Sony eMarker, many of which have failed, and we accepted those failures in fact and still continued on supporting your innovation and knowhow because you continued support or somehow some way still found a way to make things right, KEEPING OUR LOYALTY!!!! And now we find ourselves here, a company that's failing little by little, when I see that they do not support drivers for computers they built NOT THAT LONG AGO, and which Microsoft themselves will support, it makes me wonder. Why should I continue with a brand that keeps facing triumphant failures and doesn't seem to care anymore about the people reliying on what products the company has put out on the market? Is this the beginning of a trend we will see from now on? I REALLY REALLY hope not. You make great products but when something goes wrong if you do not support it and make it right, you're worthless. Why? Because something eventually goes wrong with even the best of things, and you need to learn again how to make things right. Windows 10 has been in the works for some time now, and I know that Sony still had access to developer models for almost a year now, and yet still we have to wait another month. I expect nothing but the best from this company, because they set the standard so high. Glass half full, you built me a fantastic computer that still works great everyday! You need to support and recognise that, use it as a testament, an advertisement that you build great things, keep your flame alive, keep supporting, improving, developing and innovating, and you will find your numbers will turn around. I hope to see some Win 10 drivers, patches, SOMETHING available in the not too distant future that somewhat mirrors what microsoft is ready to support. Thank you.

  • Can't find drivers for ipod nano 8GB for windows vista HELP

I am trying to find the drivers for my ipod nano 8GB. I am running Windows Vista on my laptop. I have tried absolutely everything listed on this webpage and others. I have removed itunes and reinstalled it and still nothing. I downloaded usbstor.sys and usbstor.inf. I have gone into my computer and clicked on the ! next to my ipod in file manager and have gotten nowhere! This has been 5 days of frustration. I don't understand why apple would not just SUPPLY the software for the nano. I am beyond frustrated now. Can someone please help...

Something is going on with your Nano if Vista doesn't see it anymore. Did you use device manager and try to uninstall your Nano? Perhaps this will work. Once uninstalled, the next time you plug it in, Vista will see the Nano as a new device and install the proper USB drivers.
I'm not on my Vista computer right now...but here's an article to help you find device manager in Vista: http://kb.wisc.edu/page.php?id=5183
    Good luck!

  • HP LaserJet P2035n Drivers for 64bit XP

So I tried to use the HP email and live chat support but neither worked because they said my p/n or s/n were invalid and I am pulling them off the printer itself.  The issue I am having is with a HP LaserJet P2035N.  It is hooked to the network and the driver for xp work the PLC5 ones.  I have one computer that is running XP 64 bit and when I go to download the drivers for it there are no network driver for the printer only local drivers.  I called the 1800 number and they gave me a website to go to that just redirected back to where I was.  Any advice?

The model number HP LaserJet P2035N.
    Method 1:
You may refer to the below links and use the troubleshooters. Check if it lists and helps resolve any issues: Open the Printer troubleshooter:

  • Anybody found Vista x64 drivers for nVidia GeForce 8600M GT (Macbook Pro)?

These guys at Apple are launching 64-bit Leopard and I still cannot find 64-bit graphics drivers for my laptop under Vista. It makes me sick. Their Boot Camp 1.4 vesion contains only 32-bit drivers.
It's the laptop manufacturer (Apple company) who are responsible for providing me with drivers, not the graphics card manufacturer (nVidia).
I have been waiting for 5 months already and will wait for another 1-2 months and if the drivers don't appear I'm going to sell the laptop because I simply cannot watch DVDs, I cannot play games without properly installed grahics card.
If you have the drivers, please let me know.
    Best regards.

first of all, I think apple will never really "support" windows 64bit...
    anyway
    try -> http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/
my vista 32bit works with the drivers from this page.
but u need to read the "Quickstart Guide" before you try installing the drivers

  • When I attempt to log on to I tunes I get the following message  "The registry settings used by the I tunes drivers for importing and burning CDs and DVDs are missing  This can happen as a result of installing other CD burning software  Please reinstall

When I attempt to log on to I tunes I get the following message:
"The registry settings used by the I Tunes drivers for importing and burning CDs and DVDs are missing.
This can happen as a result of installing other CD burning software. Please re-install I Tunes."
To my knowledge no new software has been installed.  I have tried un-installing and re-installing I Tunes but I still
    get the same message.
Can anyone offer any suggestions?  Do I need to download a new driver?
    Bill Martin

I can get down as far as step 11 but it shows nothing about upper filters and when I type on "If the Upper Filters entry is missing follow these instructions" nothing happens
Do you mean you can't see the instructions on what to do if there is no UpperFilters entry?
If so, here's the relevant instructions for that step:
On the right side of the Registry Editor window, right-click the UpperFilters entry and choose Modify from the shortcut menu.
Right-click the empty white space within the right-hand portion of the Registry Editor window. From the shortcut menu, choose New > Multi-String Value.
Name this new value "UpperFilters" (without the quotes). Then, right-click the newly created UpperFilters entry and choose Modify from the shortcut menu.

  • Need Working Drivers for Macbook 2,1 running Windows 8 (64-bit) using Boot Camp 5 (Mountain Lion)

So I found my old Macbook 2,1 on Leopard the other day and decided to make it my dedicated Windows computer. I wanted to run Windows 8 on it, so I figured out I needed Boot Camp 5. Then I realized Boot Camp 5 only runs on Mountain Lion, so I went though the process up updating it (had to use MLPostFactor since it's techincally unsupported on my mac.) After getting it updated to Mountain Lion, I went and used Boot Camp 5 to install Windows 8 64-bit. However, when I try to load any Boot Camp Driver Files (I've tried the drivers for BootCamp 3, 4, and 5) it says it is unsupported on my computer model. I suspect this is because of the fact that Windows 8 shouldn't be on my computer. Without these files, I can't right click, among other things, which is pretty important. Can anyone help me get these drivers loaded?

  • Unable to install XP drivers for Deskjet 3650 on Windows 7

I have a HP Deskjet 3650 that is connected via USB to my main computer running Windows 7.  I can print without problems I am having problems sharing this printer with 2 other computers running Windows XP.  I have downloaded the drivers for XP and extracted them onto the Windows 7 computer.
On the properties of the HP Deskjet 3600 Series printer, I have clicked on the Sharing tab.
Share this Printer and Render print jobs on client computers are both checked.
When I click on Additional Drivers, only X64 is checked and says yes under installed.
The other two options (Itanium and x86) are both unchecked and say no under installed.
I tried checking x86 and clicking OK.  I'm then prompted to install print drivers and Browse to where the print drivers are located.  I browse to the 3600/enu/drivers/win2k_xp folder and see hpf3600k.inf   When I click Open, and select OK, I get a Selected Printer Driver Not Found Error  which says The specified location does not contain the driver hp deskjet 3600 series (LIDIL) for the requested processor architecture.
On one of the XP machines, I have installed the printer software and am only able to print if I physically plug the printer into it.
On the other XP machine, I have not installed the printer software but I have download and extracted the drivers.  When I click on the Add Printer Wizard and select the printer on the network, it tells me that I am about to connect to a printer on the Windows 7 computer and says that it will automatically install a print driver on my machine.  I click Yes to allow it to continue and it tells me that the server for the hp deskjet 3600 printer does not have the correct printer driver installed and that I can click OK  to search for the proper driver.  I click OK and browse to the folder that I extracted the drivers to and see that hpf3600k.inf is located in the folder and click OK and I get a Install Driver Error window that says Windows cannot locate a suitable printer driver.  Contact your administrator for help locating and installing a suitable driver.
So, it appears to me that the driver that I am downloading from the hp site for Windows XP is not the appropriate driver, am I wrong here?
How can I get this printer to work print on all 3 computers without having to move it from one to the other.  The printer has to be physically connected to the Windows 7 machine as the other 2 are in the kids' rooms.

Try the following: on the XP machine go to the Printers and Faxes folder, Add a Printer, Local Printer, Create a Port, Local Port, \\Computername\Printername (use the actual share name for the shared computer and printer), OK, then click on have disk and point at the directory where you have unzipped the XP driver.
On the XP machine you have already installed the driver do the following:  go to the Printer and Faxes directory, right click on the Deskjet 3650, select Properties, Ports, Add port, Local port, New Port, \\Computername\Printername (use the actual share name for the shared computer and printer), OK.

  • Cannot find drivers for HP laserjet 1000

for the love of GOD, can someone tell me why this is so difficult?
I'm on OSX 10.6.8 and the one printer that apple did not install drivers for is the one I am using: HP LASERJET 1000.
I have scoured the forums, and the queries that have been answered date back to four years ago, with the referenced links leading to non-existent sites.
    Finally, I found some information.
I downloaded the open-source drivers called foo2zjs, but along with those you need FOOMATIC RIP and GHOSTSCRIPT, available from the Linux Foundation. Without the latter, the former won't work!
Thing is, the download links for FOOMATIC and GHOST don't work. I get a loading reset error
    https://wiki.linuxfoundation.org/en/OpenPrinting/MacOSX/foomatic
What, pray tell, do I need to do to print something? Why is this so difficult?
Please help save a human life today; give me the answers.
    It's good karma
PS: contrary to my product listed, this matter concerns an iMac, not a macbook pro. thanks!
