HT3228 How to Get iPad to Leave Messages on Server

Trying to set up email on iPad, but use home computer as "main" email. Therefore, want to leave copy of messages on the server when I check mail through iPad.
Set up 2 email accounts on iPad through the "other" email account type, and told both to "Never" delete emails from server (Settings --> email account --> Advanced tab). Yet every time I check for messages on iPad, it's still deleting the messages from the servers.
I have mail app set up the exact same way on my iPhone, and iPhone works as expected... messages are still left on the server.
Troubleshooting:
- Have tried connecting to email server through both the WiFi and the AT&T 4G net (WiFi disabled), same results... iPad is still pulling messages off server.
- Have deleted and re-created both accounts on iPad, still does not work as advertised
- When I have the mail app open on the iPad and I click the "send/receive" button in Outlook 2010 on my home computer, I get an error message that the account is already "locked" and in use by another application. I do NOT get this same error message when the mail app is open on the iPhone.
Wondering if the iPad is defaulting to set up the account as a IMAP vs POP account (I do not get the option to choose this on the iPad like I do on the iPhone)? If so, this is definitely something that needs to be fixed in the iPad app.

Disregard. After 3+ hours of troubleshooting, found iPad is working properly, leaving the messages on the main server. Found that when I tried to download them to my laptop, they were getting intercepted by a SPAM filter. I had tested the iPhone first, and the filter let those go through, but after that it decided the rest were SPAM.
I hate feeling like a kriffing idiot. :-) Aargh!!!!

Well using DMS is one way to get at these sorts of stats in a programmatic manner.
There's a Java API you can use, or you could call out to the Spy servlet to query the DMS stats in either text or XML form.
I don't have an MDB published so I can't show you specifiically, but here's the sort of query you can use to extract the data.

You can use the Spy console to find the table that contains the details for MDB and then take it from there.

Hi
In my sceanario , I want to have the list of Current MRP exception messages list from table
I understand that MRP detailed lists, including all exception messages, are stored in transparent table MDKP and cluster table MDTC.
I can tell ABAPer to write a report for me , to read the data from these tables , but I guess these tables contain old exception message also , which are not currently appearing in MRP list
How to get only current exception message

MDTC contains only data from the most recent MRP run. So, all messages you see are those which are currently valid.
The messages might have first appeared during a previous run, but they still need to be addressed.
Before you invest a lot of time and effort into writing and debugging a custom report, you should probably try to use the standard SAP functionality found in MD06. On the Processing indicator tab, you can select "Only with new exceptions". Here you can tag a material/plant as 'processed', and thereafter, the exceptions that existed there before you tagged the part will not be re-displayed.

i am reading a file from Xsql Folder, that is located in the logicalhost Sun\AppServer\domains\domain1\applications\j2ee-apps.(IN Sun Application Server)
I am pretty sure that using the absolute path will solve this issue, so my first question is: How to get the absolute path of logicalhost server domain on Windows?
i tried with System.getProperty("com.sun.aas.instanceRoot").
but i am able to retrive Sun\AppServer\domains\domain1 upto this .i am unable to retrive Sun\AppServer\domains\domain1\applications\j2ee-apps.
please suggest me how u can get absolute path in sun application server

My logicalhost server domain behaves strangely. I am reading a file from collaboration definiton, that is located in the logicalhost/is/domains/domain1/config folder. I thought, that this folder is used as an application root folder so I can read files like ./file from there. And it worked.
But then I've installed the domain as a Windows service, restarted the PC. When the domain1 gets started, I get exceptions saying that the file can't be found. Then I restart the domain (in domainmgr.bat) and it works again.

And my second question is: Why does this happen?

The default folder for a Windows Service is the system32 folder contrary to the instance root folder when starting it as a normal process.
That's the why, haven't tried the how, but you should be able to get the value by calling System.getProperty("com.sun.aas.instanceRoot").

If you want to generate the e-file feature 40ACK, do it in our Customization client box (Golden box) & save the request & move to Quality & production.
Still if you need to workout only in Production, than with the help of Basis people you can get the Production change mode for 5 to 10 min time & can generate it. But mostly Basis people wont give us change mode for Production box ... with ur request they can do..try it.
Did u collected 4 quarter TAN no's for 2008 Quarter...if not collect it & generate it at a time.

i put the error in stack and after call the procedure from form i added
Qms$Trans_Errors.Display_Messages;
and because it is an error not informantional error the error screen displayed and enter
in infinite loop acts like flashing .
can any one help me please i use C/S Headstart6i and Designer 6i

Leave messages on server options checked automatically

I have been using Thunderbird with two Godaddy email accounts for few years now. I always had for both accounts the option "Leave messages on server" checked, while "For at most" and "Until I delete them" unchecked. Today I've accessed one of the accounts via the web interface and noticed that only messages from the past 14 days had been left there. I've opened the settings in Thunderbird and noticed to my amazement that only in one of the accounts "For at most" and "Until I delete them" were magically checked. I'm sure I have not changed this myself (or any other setting recently), and I'm the only user of this PC. The only thing I can think of that may have caused this is the recent automatic update of Thunderbird.

It is my opinion that settings do mysteriously change when Thunderbird updates. I don't think it's ever happened to me (but there again, I had to re-set some Saved Searches yesterday) but there is/has been much anecdotal evidence where a system that has worked previously suddenly doesn't work and is found to have illogical or inconsistent settings, such as SSL with the usual non-secured ports. Another is HTML vs plain text message composition, where users complain about the HTML formatting tools vanishing, and the message composition Toolbar hiding, leading to users complaining about the non-existent Send button, and so on, hinting at settings which have changed all by themselves.

I keep getting a notification that says "Google Talk authentication failed"...does anyone know how to get rid of this? I tried looking for it in the apps but not really sure what google talk is or how to get rid of this message that keeps popping up.

Good afternoon! I'm glad I can be here to help with this error. In the device this application is identified only as 'Talk', so that be more familiar to you. First I recommend opening the 'Market' app on your phone, then Menu>My Apps to see if this application requires an update. It will display a list on top of all applications that need to be updated. If nothing exists, tap 'Home' and go into 'Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>Talk, then tap 'Clear Cache' and 'Clear Data' to remove the history of that application and stop the notifications. The app will remain on your phone for future use, if you desire to take advantage of it. Read more about Google Talk here

How to get rid of error message for the material?

Hi everybody,there is a material which is showing an error message whenevr try to create a sales order, i've checked the material master...there is no check in X-plant Mtrl or X-dist chan or any flag for deletion...but still the red error message comes up while creating a sales order...how to get rid of this error?

this means material is blocked for procurment
three kinds of block can be there
01 Blocked for procment/whse
02 Blocked for task list/BOM
03 Blocked for Purchasing
GOTO MM42 give material n plant data
Select BESIC VIEW
there is a field called as material block remove the blocking reason

URGENT: how to get the database error message into application?

Hi, pls give some idea:
For example, the database is MS Access. When insertion failed, the getMessage() method of SQLException will print "General error", while the log file created by ODBC will be "[MICROSOFT][ODBC DRIVER]column ID no found in student table"(...just a example).
So, how to get this message in our application?

instead of using the getMessage method, have you tried something like this:

         }If that still doesn't work, you can always redirect the log entries into a textarea but then everything that appears in the log file will be redirected!

BAPIs that can create, change or delete instances of a business object type
The following BAPIs of the same object type have to be programmed so that they can be called several times within one transaction. For example, if, after sales order 1 has been created, a second sales order 2 is created in the same transaction, the second BAPI call must not affect the consistency of the sales order 2. After completing the transaction with a COMMIT WORK, both the orders are saved consistently in the database.
Create( ) and CreateFromData( )
The BAPIs Create() and CreateFromData() create an instance of an SAP business object type, for example, a purchase order. These BAPIs are class methods.
Change( )
The BAPI Change() changes an existing instance of an SAP business object type, for example, a purchase order. The BAPI Change () is an instance method.
Delete( ) and Undelete( )
The BAPI Delete() deletes an instance of an SAP business object type from the database or sets a deletion flag.
The BAPI Undelete() removes a deletion flag. These BAPIs are instance methods.
Cancel ( )
Unlike the BAPI Delete(), the BAPI Cancel() cancels an instance of a business object type. The instance to be cancelled remains in the database and an additional instance is created and this is the one that is actually canceled. The Cancel() BAPI is an instance method.
Add<subobject> ( ) and Remove<subobject> ( )
The BAPI Add<subobject> adds a subobject to an existing object instance and the BAPI and Remove<subobject> removes a subobject from an object instance. These BAPIs are instance methods.
