HT3228 I get my emails on my Iphone but not my home computer,how can I get on both
I have a new Iphone 4s. I now get my yahoo email on my Iphone but it doesn't show up on my home computer now. How can I get the emails on both Iphone and my laptop?
You need an IMAP or Exchange account to do this. I believe Yahoo offers IMAP, at an additional cost, so check with them.

Media and apps are not part of the backup. They need to be re-synced from your itunes library or re-downloaded from the store.

25 apps on my wife's phone need updating and now it "Cannot connect to iTunes Store" only when i try to update them for her. I can access the iTunes store for all other options but not to update. How can I get her updated?
Try quitting the App Store:
Tap the home button to get to the home screen. Then double tap the home button, and hold your finger over the App Store icon. Tap the red when it appears. Tap the home button again to return to the home screen.
Try resetting:
Hold the home and power buttons at the same time until the Apple boot logo appears. No data will be lost. -
I get my email on my iPhone but not receive it on my MacPro
I have checked all of my settings, but since the end of December, I have not been able to get incoming emails to my Mac POP account. They all go to my phone. My Mac is running OS 10.10.1; iPhone 4S is running iOS 8.1.3. Ideas?
There are three basic types of incoming mail account: POP, IMAP, and Exchange. With a POP account, mail is downloaded from the server to the mail reader (such as Mail) and then usually deleted from the server. With IMAP and Exchange, the mail stays on the server indefinitely and is synchronized with all mail clients that access the account.
If more than one user or device is accessing the same POP account and deleting messages after downloading them, the first one to connect after a message is delivered to the server will retrieve it, and the others will never see that message. In Mail and probably all other mail readers, there is a setting to leave messages on a POP server after downloading them. Ideally, though, you should avoid using POP at all if you have multiple clients for the same account. -
for some reason I can't see "devices" when I plug them into my home computer (running snow leapard). I recently upgraded my laptop to lion and now the devices are looking for my mac book. How do I get the devices to sync with home computer and not the mac book?

I bought a new ipod classic. When attempting to synch it made me update itunes to the latest version (there may be a more current one now.) I did this and when I synched to ipod everything showed up except the playlists. How do I get the playlist to synch to ipod as well? Thanks!
Connect it to your computer and restore it as a new device. Then chose what music you want to sync with it and do so just like your Touch does.

I tried importing the iTunes Music Library.xml file, however it just duplicates the default playlists already in iTunes. The playlists are still on my iPod Touch, just not in iTunes 11. Therefore, I cannot manage and organize any songs into the existing playlists. I do not want to have to go through and manually create the playlists again. Any suggestions would really be appreciated!! Thank you!!

I found my playlists. They were never removed. It appears that iTunes 11 shows them in a different place. Which is kind of annoying. Even more annoying trying to add purchased songs to the playlists on your iPod.
- Click on the iPod button on the top right of your screen (beside the iTunes Store button)
- Click Playlists along the middle of the top of the iTunes window
There are the playlists from your iPod
Kind of frustrating to add the songs, but the way I did it is:
- Click on the song you want to add to your iPod playlist from your iTunes library
- Click the arrow beside the song and select "Add to Up Next"
- Go to your iPod playlists as per the above instructions
- Click on the list icon in the same bar as the Apple icon on the top of the window (it is to the right of the apple icon)
- Now drag that song to the playlist(s) on your iPod
I am sure there is a much simpiler way....I just dont have time to figure it out right now. If anyone has any simpiler way of doing this, please reply!! -
A photo shows up in "photos" but not in "events". How can I get it to show in events?
I have several photos that are in "photos" but I can't find them in "events" I want to use these photos to create a photobook but can't locate them in my events folder. I have tried to drag them into the events folder but they won't transfer. Can anyone help me with this?
Try this:
Select the photos in question in the Photos section.
Click on the Flag button at the bottom of the screen.
Got to the Events section.
Click on the event you want to add the pictures to. (Create an event if necessary.)
In the menu select Events > Add Flagged Photos to Selected Event.

Its a easy fix,it will take too much time to type out all of the steps,
Check your email account. see if they are their, You can then import them on your DAV card, The best thing to is add them to icoud then they will be safe.

I have multiple emails associated with my i phone, but can't get my mac to associate some of the email names because it is associated with other apple id , but it's my id. how can i get around this?

- The next standard thing to do is to download/install a new app but you cant 'do that.

My daughter's iPad is backing up to my iCloud, which is how we set it up originally. Now she has her own iPhone with her own iCloud. How can I get her iPad to back up to her own iCloud? Her iPad is taking up 3.4MB of my 5MB. I need my space back!

Yes, that's correct, it won't affect your account or your devices in any way.
Use the delete account button in the iCloud settings.
Then enter her iCloud details in the new screen that appears and log in. She should then be returned to the screen above but with her Apple ID at the top, enable the services she wishes to use and then tap the storage & backup option and ensure that iCloud backup is turned on.

Okay, so my friends music downloaded to my iPhone when i put it on his computer to charge and i re-synced it to mine and all his music is still there but blank and wont play how can i get it off of my phone, its so annoying!! My itunes only has like 4 songs because my computer crashed and lost all my songs, and I'm not trying to steal his music. But like I said its still in the music app on the phone but its all blank and wont play. I just want it off.
When he plugs it into his Mac again, he should be asked if he wishes to sync with that Mac.

What does this mean?
How did you try to import those pics?
You import pics from iphone just as you would from any digital camera. They are not part of the sync process at all.
I am trying to figure out what exactly you did.
Bottom line is that the pics are gone unless you have a backup of your iphone on your computer from a time when the pics were on the iphone.
In the future you should be importing your pics to your computer regularly.
