HT3275 Message appears "The disk was not ejected properly...." I do not eject the disk or shut it down.

I am using an iomega external HD as my Time Machine backup drive. Occasionally I receive the message "The disk was not properly ejected...." I never eject the the disk or turn it off. The data on the drive does not appear to be affected. Any suggestions or fixes would be appreciated.

There are a lot of possibilities, unfortunately.
Does the external have it's own power supply?  If so, make sure it's plugged-in to a known good outlet -- better yet, to the same good surge protector your iMac is plugged-in to -- even better, to the same U.P.S. (battery backup) your iMac is running from.  That will protect them against power dips as well as power spikes, which can cause momentary disconnections.
It's possible the external isn't "spinning up" quickly enough after sleeping.  Try moving the check from the Put the hard disk(s) to sleep ... box in System Preferences > Energy Saver.  Some external drives respond to that setting, some don't.   If that doesn't change, see if you can adjust or disable the "spin down" or sleep function of the drive (check the info that came with it, or with the maker).  The older it is, the more likely it's slowing down a bit -- drives are mechanical beasties, after all, with tiny bearings and moving parts.
Try different ports, cables, and combinations of the two.  A cable may be frayed invisibly; a plug that works fine in one port may not make good contact in another.

    I had this problem too, where it seemed I couldn't go eight hours without the Duo drives dropping and getting the "disc was not ejected properly" error message.
    I tried the following and so far it seems to have fixed the problem:
    In System Preferences > EnergySaver, make sure the setting “Put hard disks to sleep when possible" is unchecked.
    I did this only on the Power Adaptor tab, but you might want to uncheck the setting on the Battery tab as well to be safe. (In my case, the Duo drives are unlikely to be attached when I’m running on battery, so I left the setting checked for the Battery tab so that the system can still power down the internal drive.)
    Since I made the above change ten days ago, the Duo disks have not dropped, even when I left the system on with the Duo disks connected for a couple of days.
    FYI I have the Duo set up with two RAID 1 sets spanning the two drives. I'm using Mavericks 10.9.4.

I converted all songs on playlist to MP3 and then selected burn playlist and checked audio cd. This worked in itunes 11.0.5. Also itunes 11.1 will not accept the second disk on a cd audio burn. It just keeps telling me to insert a blank disk, no matter how many blank disks are inserted

    I think that the operating system is 10.4.11 and iTunes isn't responding to this operating system. I cannot upgrade the operating system to a version any later than what it is as I think it would then go to Tiger.
    10.4 is Tiger, and 10.4.11 supports the latest version of iTunes and QuickTime. So either the system isn't at 10.4.11 - your original post said 10.4.1 - or there's something wrong with the system in which case earlier versions of iTunes/QuickTime might well also fail to install.
    Please confirm the version of Mac OS X that really is on the system and we'll go from there.

    It sounds like you bought an upgrade from Adobe. How much did you pay? The upgrade is about $80, and the non-upgrade is about $150. If you bought an upgrade version and had no previous version, you would see what you're seeing.
    If that is the case and I were you, I'd call Adobe, and arrange for a refund and to order the correct version.

    Try repair the main Library:
    Option 1
    Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
    Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
    This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
    Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

    If you think getting your web pages to appear OK in all the major browsers is tricky then dealing with email clients is way worse. There are so many of them.
    If you want to bulk email yourself, there are apps for it and their templates will work in most cases...

    Jeff, I looked at your link and
    a) again, I never make it to an error code
    b) I'm definitely connected to the internet
    c) I can access secure sites; I tried connecting with the firewall disabled and the same thing happened, so I don't believe it's a firewall issue.
    d) I don't understand the checking host sites - this is far too complicated for a novice user. It should not be this difficult to get a software running. I don't want to mess with these kinds of settings.
    e) I followed the steps for the global sign in root CA and my screen looks the same as the picture here.
    I can't activate the software offline as there is no option to generate a response code when I click on having trouble connecting to the internet. All I get is a prompt to change my password.
    If the problem were simply connectivity from my computer, then why does the box completely freeze? Can't cancel, can't click on the little X to close it, can't right click on the box to close it. I have to reboot every single time. I know others have had the same problem and I haven't found any answers that I could apply.
    I don't understand for the life of me why Adobe does not have TELEPHONE customer support. I have spent 2 days on this, this is crazy.

    Barry, the other stolen computer, my IMac does not show me a locked on such and such date, but simply says offline.  I set that computer to erase when it goes online and notify me when it is found, and to play a tone and play a message that the police are on their way!

    2.2.1 is not the latest available for any ipod touch.

    Have you tried a reset by pressing and holding the sleep/wake button and the home button for 20 seconds (maybe longer) until the Apple logo appears, ignore the red slider.  Then turn back on. You won't lose any data doing the reset.
