HT3296 progress bar for left function will not fill entirely

when using the learn remote feature everything seems to be working fine, except that the left function refuses to fill in the porgress bar, it goes about a fifith of the way and stops. NO error messages just stops. Ideas?

Maybe I'm missing something here but, I can't find a progress bar to follow progress when publishing. I know I'm loading a large set of files, but I've been "publishing" for about 7 hours now and I have no idea whether or not "publishing" is taking place. If I try to quit iWeb, I get the message saying that "publishing" will be affected (or stop altogether). I'd like to believe that my site is making its way to the www -- but how do I know?

There is a progress dial at the top next to the site's folder in iWeb. Send a feature request to via http://www.apple.com/feedback/iweb.html.
How big is your site? What's the URL of your site so we can examine it first hand? Are there lots of movie or audio files on it? 7 hours is rather long. What type of internet connection do you have? Where are you publishing to?

We accidentally broke this, but it should be fixed shortly. You should not need to take any action... it will recover on its own within a day or so.
If you want to fix it yourself, you can edit the feed location to one that works. Right-click "Latest Headlines" and hit Properties. The Feed Location should be of the form:
http://fxfeeds.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/headlines.xml
(replace your locale... en-GB, es-ES, and so on)

Problem with a progress bar for downloading attachment

I display the progress bar for downloading attachments and it works fine … but when I am downloading some attachments I get the exception message:
Exception in thread "main" com.sun.mail.util.DecodingException: BASE64Decoder: Error in encoded stream: needed 4 valid base64 characters but only got 1 before EOF, the 10 most recent characters were: "Q3w5ilxj2P"
I found the explanation:
Certain IMAP servers do not implement the IMAP Partial FETCH
functionality properly. This problem typically manifests as corrupt
email attachments when downloading large messages from the IMAP
server. To workaround this server bug, set the
"mail.imap.partialfetch"
property to false. You'll have to set this property in the Properties
object that you provide to your Session.

So I turned off partial fetch:

Without this information it is impossible to display the progress bar. So is there a way to obtain this information and display the progress bar?

Firefox 4 saves the previous session automatically, so there is no longer need for the dialog asking if you want to save the current session. 
You can use "Firefox > History > Restore Previous Session" to get the previous session at any time. 
There is also a "Restore Previous Session" button on the default about:home Home page. 
Another possibility is to use:

How to use progress bar for Main and Subsequences in teststand

HI,
I have one main sequence in that I am calling different subsequences (Containing many steps and for loop).
I am trying to use progress bar for this sequence, but my requirement is progressbar is able to show the progress of all the steps containing in Main and subsequences.
I have developed sequence in that I am able to show the progress for only Main sequence steps not for subsequences steps.
Is it possible? If yes please let me know the suggestions.

Install Disk for Snow Leopard will not boot on an iMac 27in

My Install Disk for Snow Leopard will not boot on my iMac 27in. The Apple Logo is the only thing the user will see. The current OS on the system is 10.6.6. Upon placing the Snow Leopard DVD in the system, the DVD players spins for a few seconds and displays the Apple Logo. Nothing happens after 20 minutes.

Yes, it is ridiculous how it is impossible to install Snow Leopard. I have two Snow Leopard DVDs: one that I purchased for a Macbook soon after it's release (10.6.0), and one that came with my iMac (10.6.4). Both of these boot up my Macbook (running 10.6.7) just fine. My SL 10.6.0 DVD mounts onto my iMac (Lion 10.7.0), but you cannot run the install. I attempted to boot from this DVD and got the infinite white screen and Apple logo, as some have reported above. The other SL 10.6.4 DVD will not even mount in Lion, and will not even show up as a bootable drive when I attempt to select it after holding alt/option on reboot.
I created a bootable external drive from SL 10.6.0, attempted boot, same infinite white screen/apple logo.
I created a bootable external drive from SL 10.6.4 on my macbook. I attempted to boot from this drive, and got the white screen of death, except that this time I actually got the loading symbol underneath the Apple logo. After about a minute of attempting to boot, the Apple logo changed to a circle with a diagonal line through it (the "NO!" sign).
I took my iMac to the genius bar. They inserted SL 10.6.0, which would not boot. Then they determined that my computer had to run 10.6.4 and later. So, they restored an image of SL 10.6.4 onto my partition (not an install from an image, but an image of SL already installed). Hurray! Snow Leopard was successfully shoved onto my iMac!
I then deleted a third partition on my hard drive I did not need anymore, which somehow screwed up my SL partition (even though it said "Will not erase partition SL or Macintosh HD). Now I am back at square one, and I guess I need to take my flippin iMac back to Apple for them to do what I should be able to do.
I like Apple, but sheesh do I hate Lion right now.

Printing from PS CC worked fine today. I made no changes to preferences. In between working with 2 projects, the first one printed fine, the second gave me this Error Message.

Now I've checked for updates for my printer, reset my printer, reset PS CC preferences, picked my printer as Default and Last Used, and rebooted. I've followed all the recommended fixes for this issue I could find here and on the internet. I can print fine from any other program. Alas, the error message keeps popping up and I can't print.
PS CC is up to date
Running OS 10.10.2

PROBLEM: Cannot print from Photoshop
After restart error message appears:

• All print commands are greyed out and unavailable — even to call up the printer commands cannot be done.
The printer printed fine until about 2 weeks ago when this error message appeared. Printing continues from Pages, I-photo, preview etc. — only Photoshop fails.
The printer has been turned on and off, as have open documents been closed and open etc.. Preferences reset. Repeatedly I have read through blogs and forums and attempted to contact Adobe — all without results
Epson support struggled to find reason and several solutions were tried and they assume this is an Adobe problem.
Running Mac Powerbook X 10.10.2 / Photoshop CS6 13.0.6.x64
Attempting unsuccessfully to print to Epson 3880

I've never had this problem before. It only affects Photoshop CS6 and CS5 that I have installed. I'm running MAC OS 10.9.5
I have three printers and HP and two Epsons, and I get this dialogue when trying to print from Photoshop CS6 or CS5.

Other applications print fine on all three printers. I tried deleting the Photoshop Prefs numerous times without results.

No progress bar for QT movies?

Is there no progress bar in Safari or QT for to show the completion of downloading of embedded or separate QT movies? My .mov files just do nothing except show the big Q, say nothing, until the whole movie has been loaded.

I think I understand: You say you do "NOT want the movies to play automatically". This means that you don't want them to stream.
In that case, I don't think there is a progress bar, unless the movie author has developed one. The built-in "progress bar" in QT is for streaming files. Even with Flash movies, the progress bar is authored; there's no automatic progress bar.
If you do NOT want streaming, then maybe Enable Instant On should be un-checked.
Otherwise, there are two preferences that affect a movie's automation: QuickTime >> QuickTime Preferences >> Browser >> Play movies automatically, and back up to QuickTime >> Preferences (plain ole' "Preferences") "Automatically play movies when opened".
I happen to have the former checked, and the latter unchecked; but can't say how it affects the files (which I allow to stream).
Have you tried the QuickTime Discussions to see if anyone has answers to your "stutter"? It might be worth searching around and posting your problem there; because it seems what you are saying is that you would want streaming if the delivery was smoother.

Using Photoshop CS6 and after printing approx. 10 cards on an Epson R3000 printer the program gives me a dialog box saying "There was an error opening your printer. Even after closing and reopening the program, the print command is greyed out so I cannot select any printer. This also happens with a Brother laser printer. Both printers will produce a test page out side of the Adobe product. Help!

I cannot get any help either. I get the message "There was an error opening your printer. Printing functions will not be available until you have selected a printer and reopened any documents." I have reinstalled all drivers, powered off/on all printers (2 of them - a Brother HL - 4040cn and an Epson Stylus Pro 7890 - which all worked fine until this morning). There appears to be no path to a solution. I have read all the forums and tried about 20 different suggestions all to no avail. Reboots, changing cables, reinstalling printers and drivers and Photoshop CS6 - ALL TO NO AVAIL. On a macbook pro retina with 10.10.3. This issue is out there and some get solutions - but not all - that's my crowd...the not all crowd. I have yet to be able to print from CS6 any more. This is a show stopper and my patience is wearing thin. And I'm tired of stupid questions like "is your printer powered on?" give me a break. I not able to get how to create a progress bar which shows download data and the player
Like YouTube which show the download as well as the player head.

if the video is a live stream, it's impossible to do it.
You can't work out your player position or amount downloaded because the end position and total file size are unknown.
I'm guessing you may actually mean you want the progress bars to be live and not manually controlled, in which case you could use a timer

a function you might find useful in doing this would be the PHP filesize function
http://php.net/manual/en/function.filesize.php
you could send off a script at the begging on the stream calculating the total filesize, and then compare that against amount downloaded in you AS3, what would be download progress sorted.
