I am having problems ordering a photo book from the uk? I have checked account details and it won't let me submit my UK postcode or full phone number any ideas?

What version of iPhoto? Assuming iPhoto '11 - In the iPhoto preferences make sure that you have the corret setting for print products country
If that is not it go to the Apple store (store.apple.com) and re-enter all of your account information and be sure one click ordering is on
Do not include the + in your phone number - only numeric digits

Unable to complete photo book order on ipad

Hi, I hope this is the right place to get some help. Regarding placing an iphoto photo book order on an ipad.
I have been working on a photo book project for a long time, and want to finally order some copies of the book. Everything has worked fine, except that I get a message that I have some clipped text that may be exceeding its boundaries. I can't figure out where this is, no warning triangles are showing, so I choose to proceed with the order anyway. The next page is black/dark grey with a small icon of the front page of the photo book, and it says "done" ("ferdig" in Norwegian) on top. I can click on some words in blue writing on the top right of the page, "add delivery address" (in Norwegian). When I try to type somehing in there, nothing happens.
Aaargh, this is so frustrating! I have checked that my address and credit card info is valid, in my apple id-account(itunes).
Shouldn't there be some uploading of the album? And a choice of how many copies etc I want? I have checked my email and there are no order confirmations, so I apparently havent placed an order yet, despite the "done"/"ferdig" on top of the page.
Does this sound familiar to anyone? What can I do?

It sounds like you are unable to purchase a project youve been working on for a good long while, but the order process is not working as expected. I would start by verifying you have Express Checkout enabled in your Account Settings when you are at http://store.apple.com, with this info:
You can review or edit your express checkout settings by accessing the Account section from the main navigation bar. Sign-in with your Apple ID and password to view your account settings. Click on the Edit button if you wish to edit your shipping address or payment method. You can also enable or disable the express checkout feature for this computer by moving the slider to the respective position.

If so and your other billing info is correct, quit all the running apps on the iPad:

Double-click the Home button.

Does anyone know if I could submit my iphoto book order from europe and receive the printed books in USA?
Does anyone know if I try to submit my iphoto book order from Ireland with my macbook and my apple ID created in USA, to which countries Apple would allow me to receive the finished books?
So far, I do know that if I try to submit my iphoto book order from California, the only shipping addresses that I could enter must be either in USA or Canada.

Uodate Freight/Booking order from SAP TM to SAP ECC

Hi All,
Iam an SD consultant and new to SAP TM. We have the follwoing requirement.
The delivery proposal is sent from TM to ECC and in ECC it will create a delivery. The delivery proposal from TM does not carry the freight/booking order no from TM. we need to send booking order no in the outbound message from SAP TM to ECC. And then we want the booking order number to store in delivery in ECC.
questions are
1) how TM communciates with ECC. we have been told that there are two interfaces
OutboundDeliveryBulkCreateRequest_ (for sending delivery proposal from TM to ECC )
OutboundDeliveryBulkConfirmation_In (for sending back delivery creation message from ECC to TM )
2 ) I need to know what are these interfaces. Are these idocs. How to enchance the same in TM and ECC to achieve the above regarding booking order. That is how to inlcude booking order no in delivery proposals message so that it is sent from TM to ECC.
3 ) In ECC, how the booking order no will be captured from TM and how it will be updated in delivery ?

hi Pamela,
sap erp communicates with tm using XML Messages (so called Enterprise Services). the Standard way to update erp would be to create freight orders and have those create erp shipments. But, you certainly have your reasons why you want to update only deliveries. Enhancing the Enterprise Service and modifying the update is certainly the best way. If you do not get help on this. Here is an alternative:
To get the booking number/freight order Number for the FU, I would use the save document prepare user Exit in the delivery and write the Fo number into LIFEX. You can use a remote function call to call tm, alternatively, you can store the FO number in the FU with a custom save strategy.
Step 1: get the sales orde number (VGBEL) within Exit in sd delivery
Step 2: read the Fu related to the sales order (if ist 1:1), you can use the field LABELTXT in the ROOT node of the TOR object.
Step 3: get the FO related to the relevant stage (following coding).

Is photo-book ordering supported for iPhoto 6 ?

I'm trying to place an order for a photo-book and the setup process chokes on step #3, reporting "An unexpected error has occurred". Any help would be appreciated !! I'm using iPhoto version 6.

Error in photo book ordering

since upgrade to lion I am no longer able to order photo books. I can start but when it comes to the upload step I get always the error message "the credit card can not be authorized at the moment". I ordered the same book under snow leopard without any problems. I changed the credit card and got the same message. I asked the credit card company but they didn't get any authorization request. Any ideas what this could be?

meanwhile I found out that the problem is caused by delivery address different than invoice. It works if invoice and delivery address are the same. As a workarround the delivery address can then be changed online in Appstore once the order is open.

Transferring photos in order from PC to Ipod

I have been trying to transfer photos from PC to ipod. They all transfer, but not in the order that I have them on PC. I need them in order for presenting slide shows. I have tried renumbering all photos. copying to a new folder, and re syncing

For those in this discussion concerned with the "Sort" order, the criteria is in the "metadata" date that changes when you adjust the photos.
The directions below apply to Lightroom
To keep the order you created you must make an adjustment to "ALL" photos at the same time such as increasing the contrast by (1) point.
First select and change the contrast in the first photo in your collection, then select the remaining photos, click "Sync" The "Metatdata" date will change on all photos selected and will then import in the proper order.
They will now be in the exact order you had them in your computer

How do I open the square photo books from iPad in iPhoto Mac ?

I began creating a square photo book on iPad (iOS7) and decided that I would create the book on my Macbook instead (Mavericks) - so I could access my full photo library. However I can only see rectangular photo book templates on the Mac.
Questions:
- Is it user error or are the templates totally different on Mac and on IOS?
- Is there any way to transfer a square photo book project from iPad to Mac via iTunes or iCloud?

[BUG] Upgrade corrupts photo book layouts!

Here's something to add to the plethora of bugs in iLife'11. Whenever I open a photo book that was created with an earlier version, I briefly see the "Upgrading photo book…" message, and after that, all photos are default-zoom and centered at their spots in the book layout!
I have >20 books in my library and a lot of effort went into making their layout just perfect. The problem does not yet appear in iPhoto 8.1.2, I have been experimenting with several "upgrade paths" from iPhoto 7.1.5 to iPhoto 9.0.1 now. It is clearly a problem in iPhoto 9.
When going directly from iPhoto 7 to 9, by the way, you lose all the key photo selections that you have done in your events (>200 for me…), as already reported here:

So if any of you are also keeping their photos in nicely layouted photo books, I strongly recommend waiting with the upgrade to iLife'11 until Apple fixes the upgrade process to NOT destroy any data.

iPhoto '11 does in fact display a warning after the update, something like "update successful, but please check before ordering". Well, I checked, and I found all books are corrupted (zoom and offset are wrong as described above).
This dialog however is a pathetic way of dealing with the (apparently known!) problem, Apple!
Even worse, I noticed that TimeMachine backup (inside iPhoto) does not list photo books, so the only way back (after wiping iPhoto 11 from the hard drive and re-installing the previous version) seems to be to replace the whole iPhoto Library manually (I sincerely hope that the photo books are stored in there and not anywhere else - does anyone know for sure?)
There also is no way to export a photo book (apart from non-editable PDF) and to re-import it on another MacOS installation (with an earlier version of iPhoto), is there? So until I find a solution and the time to try it out, I need to keep my pre-update backup of the whole iPhoto Library. And I must not make any significant changes to the new library, because there very probably is no way of merging those changes into the old one.

Aperture photo book vs iPhoto quality

Hi, will photo books printed from Aperture give me better quality than photo books from iPhoto 6? This will help me decide if I should buy Aperture or not.
Is it true that Aperture prints books at 300 dpi and iPHoto at 150 dpi?
Any advantages to printing photo books in Aperture (what does Aperture photo books do that iPhoto doesn't)?

Recently I uploaded and had printed a hardbound book that had been designed within Aperture. Prior to this, I have used iPhoto to produce 10 such books starting back in 2002. I have always chosen the picture book format because it provided the largest images.
This time I used Aperture because it allows large images with small captions and a good deal or freedom of length and placement.I particularly appreciated the good snap placement between the pictures and other captions. The ease of producing 2 page spreads was impressive. The book ran 84 pages and the quality of the resulting was very good–on a par with my other Apple photo books.
On only one occasion have I had a problem with quality control of these books. In that case an a good high resolution image was pixelated. In that case, I was able to call Apple and speak to someone, who after hearing my description, asked me to send my copy back and issued a reprint order.
My only bit of consternation with this order is that I found no such contact information enclosed with the book.
Finally, I haven't seen any specific suggestions within this formum for third-party print houses that can produce good quality books. Just assertions that alternatives do exist. I would be willing to strip down the .pdf file of the book I have just created to some of the trickier images and see how these one of these print houses fare.

IPhoto book ordering status

I am currently not subscribe into .mac account. However, I got the mentioned email "[email protected]" when I was still in the 3-month trial period.
I need this for the ordering of iLife photo book ordering service. It requires me to enter a .mac email account for the ordering process.
However, since the order confirmation will be sent to that .mac account, I have no way to check the email and see if the order is confirmed.
How could I solve this? I don't see where I can change my email contact while I don't see where I can check ordering status.
Please help...

All you need is an Apple id and one click ordering turned on - go to www.apple.com==> store ==> account to set up or verify/modify your Apple account and be sure One Click is turned on

Where can I get a book printed from a Pages document?

Ok, I know of dozens of service bureaus/labs happy to print photo books for people from a series of jpeg image files. Pages does not output jpeg files. I know of one that will do it from a PDF (Blurb, actually), but it must be a PDF/X-3 file, which Pages does not do, either. Where can I get a photo book printed from either a Pages document, or from a Pages-created PDF?
I don't really want to layout my book in InDesign -- Pages is so much easier and faster.

It isn't impossible to use Pages for book printing.
