HT3519 How to remove TTY symbol from Iphone 5 with ios 7.1

I have an Iphone 5 with the most up to date software ios 7.1. I have the tty symbol on the top right corner of my iphone, it looks like a phone with white dots. I do not have the option of going to Settings > General > turn off TTY. The iphone 5 is not set up this way with the new software. Anyone have any ideas on who to get rid of this symbol?

If you turned off the setting and the symbol still remains try to do a hard reset RESET DEVICE
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for device to restart (no data will be lost).

I have a facelets page which calls a backing bean of session scope. Now when ever i click on this page i want the existing bean object to be removed from the session . In my existing jsp i have a logic something like this to remove the object from session

Now i have to refactor my jsp to use facelets and i should not be using scriplets anymore . I did try with JSTL but the <c:remove> tag is not supported by facelets.

my iphone 3gs with IOS 5.0.1 broke, and it was backed up on my itunes. i had to revert back to my iphone 3g with 4.1.2 until i can afford a newer phone, but the problem is... i cant transfer the backup of the 3gs because the 3g does not support 5.0.1. how can i format the backed up data to work on my 3g? or am i just out of luck until i buy a newer phone?

Hi, My husband and I have shared an apple id for sometime. It has just caused complications because he is in Europe and Facetime and Imessage are not working properly on our phones because we have the same id. AT&T advised me to sign up for a new id and remove the old one from the icloud only on my iphone 3g replacing it with a new one. They said we could still share our music and apps but using separate ids in the cloud would resolve the conflict. I cannot seem to remove the id on my phone and am wondering how to do this, or any other ideas for how we can keep sharing our music without causing problems with facetime and imessage. Any ideas? Settings>Messages. Log out of iMessage
Settings>Facetime. Log out of Facetime.
Then, log back in to each of those using your new Apple ID.

Concerning how the memory is used on the Iphones under the "other" category, I have found that the biggest culprit is text messages that include photos and videos sent and received. Think about it, when you take a picture and then send it, even though you delete it from your camera roll, it is still necessary to hold in memeory as being part of the text history. It is only removed from the phone when you delete it from the text message as well. This also applies to text messages received. This is a large hidden area to most people!

Restore the iOS. You may have to do this as a new phone (without using a backup). Note that "other" contains messages and emails - if you have a lot of these, especially with photos/videos, that would account for the other usage.

It might be difficult to remove it all. Petroleum jelly liquefies at a fairly low temperature though. Try using a hair dryer - not too hot - while holding the iPhone vertically so that the remaining contaminant can drip out the speaker port. Absorb the liquid with a paper towel.

I copied a photo album from my PC to my IPhone (for a slideshow at a funeral). The photos did not originate on the IPhone. Not being a Windows user I am not sufficiently familiar with the process of removing your second calendar as I don't use m.google.com sync. However there is a way of having multiple Google calendars on your PC if you want. If you follow my instructions from here on setting up CalDAV sync between GCal and the iPhone then follow Google's instructions from here on syncing with Sunbird. It would mean you changing your calendar from Outlook to Sunbird as Outlook isn't supported for CalDAV sync with GCal whereas Sunbird is
