HT3552 Why is there no e-mail to Apple or Itunes for questions on why I am being billed for more than I acutally got. they have no simple was to get to them at all this is rediculous

I purchased 19.99 of coins and they billed me 54.00 for the 60,000 coins. Why is it so hard to get to the billing section e-mail to correct this billing error before they zap my account. you try to call  a recording comes on to contact apple then you get everything but what you need

    What are the electrical specs of the car charger? The Apple wall charger is rated at 5V and 2A. If the car charger does not output 2A @5V, you'll get the not charging message. However, it will still charge, but very slowly.

    I know how to use about:config & have had the usual problems with newtab page tiles but this is more like a bug- using 33.0.1. Doesn't show tiles icon in top right corner just shows a gear that is used to hide the empty tiles that I can't fill with sites. First it would only show 2 rows of 4 columns even though I had it set to 5 & 6 then few days later for no reason they went empty with a serrated line around the tiles & can't drag from the bookmarks---- really bloody annoying!!!!!!! Possibly a setting in the about:config but i can't fig it out?

    We moved back to BT for Broadband and TV so I could retain my BT email without having to pay extra for it, but I am still being billed.  Why is this?

    If you were paying for BT Premium email you would need to cancel it if you no longer want it. It will not automatically be cancelled when you become a BT customer. Call BT on 0800 111 4567.  
    Before doing that make sure that the email address is linked to your BT Broadband account. See link how to do that.

    Since I updated to iCloud, (which may or may not be related) Mail on my MacBookPro 10.6.8 has been unable to connect to MobileMe more than once or twice per day. Mail on my iPhone 4 and my old iMac has no problems. When there is no service a yellow warning triangle appears adjacent to the Inbox and Connection Doctor reports,"Trying to log into this MobileMe IMAP account failed. Verify that username and password are correct."  Since it does fetch Mail from time to time they cannot be wrong.... can they? Should I update to 10.7 and if so what does that entail?

    You have been using MobileMe's email settings, which sometimes continue to work for a time after migration but then get turned off. iCloud's mail server settings are different. Strictly speaking Lion 10.7.2 is required for iCloud, and on that Mail is set up automatically.
    Snow Leopard cannot access most of iCloud's facilities, however you can set Mail up manually to access your email. The method is described here:

    I set it to start restoring from the 3GS backup yesterday at 1pm and the time remaining kept on increasing. I left it overnight and at 9am this morning the progress bar hadnt moved and it said 12 hours remaining.
    I don't know why its taking so long. I unplugged it and it just set up as new phone. So i did a factory reset and tried again at 4pm and it is now 12am and it says 4 hours remaining and my computer occasionally flickers. (Its not a bad computer, 2 months old, i7, 6GB RAM, Heaps of HDD space). It also messes with google chrome and i cannot browse the web at all while it is trying to restore my iphone.
    I have tried restarting my laptop and should i reinstall itunes? I simply dont see why it should take longer than 20 hours to copy over 20GB of data!

  • We are getting calls from "peoples connect u.s.a." telling us they are providers of service for Microsoft and Macintosh. They have been informed our computer has informed them our drivers are in going to crash. legit. We think they are bogus. Right?

    Does anyone else get calls from "Peoples' Connect U.S.A." indicating they have received error signals from our computer that that all drivers are going to crash and that our system is at high risk?

    I get about one a day, usually saying our Windoze computer is infected (we don't have a Win computer). I cheerily thank then for calling and say I need to transfer them to our IT manager (I'm a home user so no such thing), lay down the phone near a radio with elevator music, and go about my business.
    One person reported here within the last month that they fell for the trick. The callers ended up with $600 of her money for something that did not need fixing. They also ended up with her credit card number, her phone number, and her e-mail address. They had a good day; she didn't.
    As most of these calls come from overseas (I call them "Mike from Mumbai" calls), the FCC can't do much but wring their hands. They've not been able to stop the "Rachel from Cardholder Services" robo-calls that have been plaguing US households for nearly a decade.

I just don't understand why I still can't download new videos as I've deleted the software I installed and I've changed my camera settings back to what they were before when I could download into iPhoto. I perhaps should have mentioned it's iPhoto '08 version 7.1.5. Is there any way of putting iPhoto back as the "default download and view" programme?
    It could be as simple as longer (larger) videos - iPhoto does not always handle larger video files well

    iPhoto is not a download and view program - it is a photo management database program that imports photos - Image Capture is a download program - Preview is a view program
    The default program to download your photos is set in the preference panel of either iPhoto or image capture

    You should be able to:
    Backup the device to the new windows installation
    Transfer your purchases into a newly authorized library
    Recover any other media using third party tools as suggested in this post from forum regular Zevoneer
    Restore the device from the backup
    This process should switch the association of the device to the new library, preserving the data and settings in your apps.
    May also be prudent to attempt a backup to iCloud directly from the device before you start... Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > iCloud Backup > On. It won't save any media but it would preserve the general account settings and documents in case anything goes wrong while you are trying to extract your other data.
    When you get it all fixed, make a backup! (Windows tip). For a Mac use Time Machine or Carbon Copy Cloner.

    Home Sharing is designed to work on your local network not across the internet/cloud.
    Stuff is accessed under the Computers column where your local iTunes library on a local computer would appear.
    Home Sharing would share your iTunes content (i.e. stuff stored in itunes on the computer, not in the cloud) with AppleTV or an iPad etc on the SAME network.
    AppleTV2 will not be able to see itunes content on the work computer over the internet.  It's not designed to.  if the work computer was on the home network it would.
    iCloud is in it's infancy and is not a mature product - iTunes TV Show purchases appear on AppleTV, but currently music does not unless you are subscribed to iTunes Match. I find this rather odd to be honest, along with the inability to buy music on AppleTV2.  Movies purchased in iTunes are not authorised for iCloud viewing currently either.
    Maybe it has something to do with iTunes Match 'getting in the way' - i think they assume you'll use that whereas you really want to be able to access Purchased music from the cloud without subscribing to itunes Match which is overkill for some.

    Turn off facebook syncing of contacts, this should be covered in the User's Guide.
