I have a JBL Flip wireless speaker and have successfully connected to my MacBook Air. When I turn it on, however, my sound continues to flow from my Mac. How do I get the sound to flow through the wireless speaker--I thought that would have happened automatically?!

How do you use the LabVIEW Bluetooth VIs with the Microsoft Bluetooth driver? I have been trying with no such luck.
   I want to use 2 computers to talk to each other using the bluetooth VIs.  Eventually, I think we would like a PDA/phone to talk to a custom built electronics board with Bluetooth. But for now, I would just like 2 computers to talk and then eventually talk to our own device.
One is a desktop w/ the Belkin F8T012 USB adapter. It installs fine with the Belkin driver (but I know I need to use the Microsoft Driver in order to use the LabVIEW VIs, but I have tried to get Windows to install its own but it says it is a BCM92045DG-Flash. It says it cannot install it because it cannot find the necessary hardware. I thought this USB adapter was on the approved Bluetooth devices list? What else should I try? Another Bluetooth USB adapter?
The other computer is a Dell Latitude 820. It has a built in Bluetooth module which I believe is the Dell 350 Bluetooth Module. On this machine I have been able to setup a COM port with a bluetooth device (blood glucose meter). It came with a serial port interface which we modifed to go through a bluetooth interface. It comes up as COM40. We have been able to communicate to it using their program originally designed to talk through a serial port. But we would like to use the Bluetooth VIs in LabVIEW. I can't even use the Discover VI.  Perhaps it is not using the Microsoft Driver as well. Do I just uninstall the driver and then try to have Windows install its own driver? Do you have any other recommendations?

Hi Javi,
This sounds like an issue with Windows and your specific Bluetooth devices. As you mentioned, the LV Bluetooth VI's do require that the devices use the Windows drivers. Take a look at this link for specific requirements for using Bluetooth with LabVIEW. Also, you can take a look at our Developer Zone tutorial on designing Bluetooth applications a found here. Regarding your device drivers, sometimes it is as easy as uninstalling the driver and then letting Windows discover the device and fine its own driver. How can I use my bluetooth (cell phone earpiece) as a Mic?

I have read in theory it should work? I have a plantronics bluetooth earpiece for my cell phone. How can I set it up as a Mic on the MacMini? in preferences? I want to be able to use it in iMovie.
I was doing a search under Microphones, someone posted : besides isite and imic, one should be able to use a bluetooth set as a Mic.

who is your provider, here in the UK t-mobile give you launch2net for free.
however you dont need that software.
You just need a modem script for your model of phone.

Nokia E6-00: How can I use the external speaker du...

Anyone knows how I can get the external speakers to work in lock mode during a call, say during driving? I know the external speaker works but not when the screen is locked. This is what happens to me whenever I’m driving. My Nokia E6-00 is mounted on to the dashboard when I’m driving. -Phone rings while I’m driving - I press the phone accept call button - I receive the call successfully but I can’t hear the other party as I can’t activate the external speaker. All I see is a big red phone sign which is for hanging up the call. *Please note that I cannot disable the 5 number pin that is enforced by Microsoft Exchange 2007 server that locks the screen. I’m using the latest firmware version 0.22.014

I am also facing this issue on my E6-00 BELE, the only difference is that I have phone auto-lock turned ON (every 2 min).
Is there a solution for this ?
Also, I found that Nokia CARMODE app is not available for E6-00 BELE, which I thought could have been a work around.

Hi, We can forget 1x1. The following image shows the list. ONLY the ones with red (underscore) have Bluetooth, others don't. Looks like your machine is very close to my old loam machine: does NOT have Bluetooth (under $10 option). If you wish, you can buy a USB Bluetooth dongle for around $15. Regards.

How can I use a bluetooth remote to pause a video on Keynote?

I used to use a bluetooh remote to pause videos on Keynote during my presentations. However, since the Keynote update to 6.2 I am no longer able to do it and it was a very helpful tool for me. I use the Satechi bluetooth remote GBR-100 for that. I use the MacBook Air which does not have the infra red remote capability. Is there any possible set up that I can try?

No. It was packaged before the new iPad was released so it won't list it but is is compatible.

You can't. The jack and plug wiring are not configured that way. If you use one, then the other is shut off automatically. You cannot change that.

HT3563 How do I change a bluetooth profile on my macbook pro from headset to headphone (a2dp) audio only so it will not conflict in my multipoint stereo headset shared with my iphone.

I have a LG HBS-700 bluetooth stereo headset and "in order to access Multi-Connection mode, at least one of the two devices you are trying to connect to the HBS-700 must be able to select a profile, OR one of the two devices must only support one profile (Either Headset/Hands-Free or A2DP/AVRCP). For example: Two handsets which support both the Headset/Hands-Free and A2DP/AVRCP profiles cannot be connected to the HBS-700 simultaneously. But, one handset supporting Headset/Hands-Free/A2DP/AVRCP and a Bluetooth Stereo Dongle supporting only A2DP/AVRCP is OK".

OK, thank you for that information. On your Mac, go to the Apple logo at the very top left. Then go to System Preferences. Then go to the Blue bluetooth logo to open bluetooth settings. In the window that opens, you'll see a + in the bottom left. Just before you click this, press the pair button on your speaker. The Mac will now search for the speaker, which is now discoverable. When you see the speaker, double click it in the list. Once you are connected, go back to system preferences, this time opening up the sound settings. In the list of speakers, select your Bluetooth one. it will now be highlighted and all audio will go through it. To go back to your regular speakers, either turn off the Bluetooth speaker, or go back to the sound settings and highlight 'build in speakers'. *****

Using iTunes with my bluetooth speaker

I use a bluetooth speaker when I travel and now if I change to another app on my MBP when I have music playing through iTunes the music goes choppy! If I then make iTunes the front application again the music then plays properly. I have tried various options of display with my apps but it makes no difference. Usually a restart clears this problem but it occurs frequently and I haven't yet nailed it down to a specific reason.
I could always use a cable, but this is not the point.

I've just bought a bluetooth speaker ("Supertooth disco") and I successfully connected it to my Nokia N79.
It works fine with music stored in my mobile, but I can't get it work with radio fm.
Obviusly I know that earphones are needed: I connect them to my nokia, and then I select the option which activates speakers. But the result is that sound comes from my mobile's speakers, not my - already connected - bluetooth speaker.
However I noticed a very strange phenomenon:
- While radio is running on mobile speakers, I disconnect and rapidly reconnect earphones
- Suddenly my bluetooth speaker disconnects too and reconnects on his own
- As soon as it reconnects, for a couple of seconds... sound finally comes from the bluetooth speaker!
-...but then comes back to my mobile's speakers.
This fact made me think that there is a way to send radio sound to my bluetooth speaker. It seems that "something", at a certain moment, takes it back to the phone.. if only I could stop that "something", I could happily listen to my radio using the bluetooth speaker.
What do you think about that? Any idea of what's happening?

There is no doubt you can.
When you say photos stored on it.. in what form are these photos?? Is this your iphoto library?
If so using iphoto library on the TC has risks.. not necessarily viewing photos .. that should be fine. But if you have photos you are editing and wireless comms drop out leaving the library with a file open, it is likely to corrupt your library. Please check with the iphoto people on the discussion board if you want to go ahead for the dangers of using iphoto on any network drive.
The TC is not designed as a NAS .. in particular it cannot back itself up, nor can Time Machine backup the TC. So any files on the TC are at risk. If you manage to corrupt the iphoto library without a current backup... does that worry you??
