  • JMS message compression: How do you verify that the message was compressed

Is there any way to verify that a JMS message which exceeds the "Default Compression Threshold" setting for the connection factory has actually been compressed. Does WL add any JMS property or header to the message to indicate that it has been compressed?
    Thanks
    Aspi Engineer

To my knowledge, please correct me if i am wrong, there not a property that indicates a message is compressed.
But i do know that compression only occurs when message producers and consumers are located on separate server instances where messages must cross a JVM boundary, typically across a network connection when WebLogic domains reside on different machines.

You have aroused my curiousity, what are three ways listed that do not work? At risk of being labeled as an ignoramus, could you also tell me where to get the other 10 templates?
I usually give an element an ID and use that in my link as in

  • How do you silently install the network license to Circuit Design Suite

After a silent install of Circuit Design Suite you still have to manually tell it the network license details. Is there a silent install for this too?

There are a couple of reasons you might see this error:
    1. Make sure when you are creating the network installer, you are pointing to the root of the CD, containing setup.exe.
    2. There was an issue with the first release of the network installer that would cause this error. The issue was resolved with a maintenance release.
See this knowledge base article for more information.

  • How can we know that the Rule is Generated or Not?

    Hi,,
After creating the Risk , its suggested to click on Generate Rules Button to Generate the Risk.
But my question is that how we can know whether the risk is already generated or not..??
Any table or any change history for this.
As I can see even after generating the Rule the last update date for the risk is still the same.
    Someone please help me !

    Hi,
Rule ID numbers are just identifiers for different combinations in same risk. It is just serial number assigned to the combination.
    Example:
    Risk: RISK01
    Function: FUNC01                         Function: FUNC02
    Action:      ZU01                              Action:     XU01
                     ZU02                                              XU02
    Rule ID: 0001 for ZU01 and XU01
    Rule ID: 0002 for ZU01 and XU02
    Rule ID: 0003 for ZU02 and XU01
    Rule ID: 0004 for ZU02 and XU02
But if you remove action ZU02 and XU01 in your update
    Remaining
    Action:
    ZU01
    Action:
    XU02
    Rule ID: 0001 for ZU01 and XU02
So it will just update the respective risk with same rule id assignment to new combination.
To achieve more clarity try to build one risk in you system.
You can definitely go into the risk to see if the new rule generated has changes reflected as per update or not. Try this all with example so you would have clarity.

  • Did you know that the User Library Directory is not Backed Up by TimeMachine unless its visible?

It is the default both in LION and Mountain LION OSX systems to hide the user's Library Directory from visibility. This actually causes a nasty problem with Time Machine Backups and the inevitable Restore. Because it is invisible, it is never picked up by Time Machine and backed up. Thus if one decides to do a restore from a time machine backup it is a complete fail. You must unhide the directory to back it up to time machine.

Not exactly.  It is backed up, and if you do a full restore you will get it back (I have done this).  It is just hidden in TM just as it is on your HD.  No worries about the TM backup.  All is backed up.

With the TC plugged by ethernet into the computer.. still in full isolation to the network and with factory reset.. you can do another to be sure.
Please open the network preferences.. and check the IP the ethernet is getting from the TC.
    It should be 10.0.1.2
I set it to this manually
Don't worry about all the rest.
If you open airport utility can it see the TC?
    YES
If not then I think you have a major network issue on the computer.
Assuming you can see the TC in airport utility.. go to manual setup and the disk tab. Does the disk register any issues.. SMART should show it has verified.
    Shows verified
    Now go to finder..
Mount the drive manually via the top menu.. Go.. Connect to server.
And type in the address.. SMB://10.0.1.1
Did NOT work, however 10.0.1.2 did
That should discover the drive and ask you for credentials which after a factory reset will just be public as the password. The drive should mount and you can then see it in finder.
Yes, but I have been able to do this with the IP address being set automatically
I would deliberately use SMB. The other alternative is AFP://10.0.1.1 but that seems to be more problematic at times..
Once mounted point TM to the drive and see if it can find it and start the backup.. if it fails I think you have need to use the A5 in pondini's troubleshooting and see what you can do.
It failed and A5 makes NO difference.
A drive that won't mount is obviously not going to work.
Pondini is welcome to make comments... sometimes my Mac terminology gets a bit loose.. !! My recent convert status is visible .. !!
My other solutions.. since these are fairly old products.. the TC is more than 3years in all likelihood so outside warranty.. get a USB drive and plug it into the Mac and use TM to backup to that. If that works.. I would erase the hard disk in the TC and start over with both computers.. you will need to backup the other computer before you erase of course. Erasing and starting over does seem to help.
If there are no other suggestions, I guess I will try erasing and starting over. Thank you both for ALL your advice.

  • How do you know that the DB Adapter has stopped polling

    Hi,
Is there a smart way to figure out if the DB Adapter has stopped polling a table ? [We are using logical delete polling strategy].We are looking for a better alternative than just verifying the entire laundry list of tables for the markUnreadValue after every polling interval.

  • How can I verify that the PCI-6534 is using all of its onboard memory?

When using a PCI-6534 under Windows 98 with NI-DAQ 6.9, I need to transfer a small buffer (8126464 bytes) to the adapter, and get it into the onboard memory. The board is configured for 32 bits output, and I'm using handshake mode. DAQ_GET_DEVICE_INFO tells me that there is 33554432 bytes for each Group. DIG_Block_Check shows that 2031587 words (8126348 bytes) are remaining to transfer. Is that in the PC system memory or the PCI-6534 on board memory? How can I tell if it is safe to reuse the (PC side) buffer? Also, How big is the FIFO on the PCI-6534?

When you call DIG_Block_Out, NI-DAQ first downloads your data into the 6534 memory. Only after the download is done (which should happen at about 80 MB/s) it starts outputting data and DIG_Block_Out returns. So it is safe for you to reuse your PC memory buffer as soon as DIG_Block_Out returns.
This is assuming your entire buffer fits in memory. If it doesn't, NI-DAQ will download all the data that fits and start the transfer, and as more 6534 memory becomes available the DMA channel will fill it up.
The 6534 has a 16 sample FIFO and an additional 32 MB of memory for each handshaking group. So for 32-bit transfers you can fit 8 MSamples, for 16-bit transfers you can fit 16 MSamples (per group), and for 8-bit transfers you can fit 32 MSamples (per group) in the 6534
    memory.

  • How can I verify that the Trace and Points tables are being updated?

I am using MSQuery to look at the data in my Citadel database, but it appears there is no data in the database. There are transactions in the A/E viewer. I am totally new to lookout and citidel. TIA.

    Hi Jeff,
Here are some old articles on accessing Citadel 4 data from MSQuery and MSAccess. These should at least give you a starting point:

  • How to verify that the SCCM data is importing in Service Manager properly

    Hi,
we are using SCSM 2012 R2 with SCCM 2012 R2 connector.
How could I verify that the configuration manager data is importing properly in Service Manager.
Since many of the systems are not showing installed application in service manager that are showing in Configuration Manager, therefore, I have to verify that SCCM data is importing properly in Service Manager.
Further, we I check the incidents, affected CIs are missing or blank.
    Please suggest.
    Regards, Syed Fahad Ali

If you look at the history of the CI it will tell you everything that is being written to it. If some of your systems are not showing their installed software, you may want to check that the ConfigMgr connector is even syncing that particular machine.
If you look at the CI history and don't see any entries from "System Center Configuration Manager", the machine may not be in the appropriate collection. If you take a look at the configuration of the connector, you will see the collections that
are synced. In order for a machines information to be populated, it must be in one of the selected collections.
