As above my screen is just black. The rest of the phone is fine just the camera. Please help.

Since this all happening when using an app, you can try doing a reset.
Hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for the phone to boot back up.

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Restart your router.
Reset the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Reset all settings)
Restore the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Restore)

Just upgraded my ipad2 to the iOS 5 and now when I try to use my camera it crashes my iPad

I upgraded my iPad 2 the other night and after upgrading to iOS 5 every time I try to use my camera my iPad crashes...is anyone else having this problem? What should I do?

Hi Jessica,
      First, make sure it is backed up in itunes.
      Next, there should be an option somewhere on itunes to restore it to its original state. I did that once for the IOS 5 install after the first go round did not work.
      Once its in its original state, upgrade to ios5. Then restore from Itunes all your stuff.
       That is what I did but I am not an expert on what exactly is where in itunes.

When I try to open up camera raw it shuts down Adobe Bridge, can anyone help?

I am using mac. My problem at first was that when I tried to open a RAW image it would just shut down either photoshop cs4 or bridge cs4. Then I installed that Camera Raw 5.2 update, now I can open a raw image if I double click it from my desktop. But once I am in bridge and try to open a raw image, it loads for a few seconds and shuts down bridge. Is there a way to fix this?
Even when I when I try to change the camera raw preferences in bridge (File > camera raw preferences) that also shuts down bridge.

Go to photoshop, and check , in the Photoshop menu>about plug-ins
What version of camera raw do you see?
There should only be one camera raw plug-in installed at the default location (check the read-me or the FAQ of this forum)

Ichat crashes when I try to use the camera? Why?

Hello, I am a new mac user and I am figuring things out opretty well but when I use Ichat it works fine texting or audio but as soon as I cliclk the camera the green light comes on and then I get the pin wheel of death and then ichat closes. It even happens if I go into the video settings. The page crashes and I don't even get to see my setting options. The camera works fine in photobooth but not Ichat.... Can anyne help?

You should be opening your Hard Drive and in there the Users folder
In that folder you will have your Little House icon for your personal Home Account.
At this point you will have a Finder window open and your House icon will also be listed there.
Either in the main window after you have opened the House icon/folder you will see Library.
In the Library you will have loads of folders one of which is called Preferences.
This should have .plists for every app you have opened and some that are set up by the system for you like the Address Book and Font Book.
Some may be in other folders as well

IChat closes when I try to use the camera, help!

Hi all.
I updated to Lion yesterday and ever since then I'm having a problem with iChat.
When I click the green camera icon to start a chat, or when I go into Preferences and try to view the Audio/Video panel, iChat closes. Every time.
Tried restarting and various other things but no luck. Can anybody please help me fix this?

Alternatively go to the Hard Drive/Library/Input Managers and delete the Ecamm folder

When I try to use my Maps alli get is a green screen with the country outlines in a darker green. Tried rebooting but not sucess.

My maps have disappeared! All I get is a pale green screen with the countries outline in a darker green. Tried rebooting and changing to Satellite (when it just gies black). I get the blue flashing dot to show where I am but that's all. Ay ideas?

If you're unable to find your location, try the following:
Ensure that Location Services is enabled. Tap Settings > Privacy > Location Services.
For Maps to find and track your location, both Locations Services and Maps must be set to On.
Restart your device.
Verify that cellular data or Wi-Fi is enabled.
If traffic is not properly displayed, verify that the Traffic setting is enabled. Tap Settings > Privacy > Location Services > System Services and confirm Traffic is set to On.If Maps fails to display results, results are incorrect, locations are missing, or you experience any other issue while using Maps, you can report the issue:
Tap Overview, then tap the lower-right corner of the display.
Tap Report a Problem.
Choose the appropriate issue description and follow the onscreen instructions.
* Turn-by-turn navigation is available only on iPhone 4S and iPad 2 or later with cellular data capability. Flyover is available only on iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPad 2 or later, and iPod touch (5th generation). Cellular data charges may apply.
I would also suggest you close all of your open apps:
iOS: Force an app to close
And turn your cellular data off and then back on.

When I try to use video on my iPad it only gives me a black screen. What is the matter?

When I tried to watch White collar downloaded from iTunes the screen turned all black and I can't get out, not evn by making a hard reset. What do I do?

1. Make sure software is up to date
2. Make sure Messages is enabled; Settings>Messages
3. Make sure Date and Time is correctly set; Settings>General>Date and Time>Set Automatically>On
4. Make sure Push Notification is enabled
5. Make sure phone number or email address is correct
6. Hold the Sleep and Home button down (together) until you see the Apple Logo

When I go to view a video I downloaded from iTunes the screen goes black and won't play. Tried turning it off multiple times. Still downs not work

Worst part is I am on a plane and now have time to kill as I can't watch my movie right now

Quit the video app and try again.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit the app by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on the video app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the app. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Launch the video app again and see what happens.
If that doesn't work - go to the home screen again and swipe to the right to bring up the search feature. Type the name of the movie in the search field at the top. If the movie shows up in the search - tap on the icon and hopefully it will start playing. Let it play for a couple of minutes and tap done. go back to the video app and see if the movie appears there. If so you should be able to play it from there.
If that doesn't work, try resetting the iPad and launch the video app again.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

When I turn my phone sideways (landscape) to type an SMS the screen goes black

I've tried the usual troubleshooting measures - turn on and off, check software is up to date, pressed home and lock screen etc. I'd love an answer as it takes me twice as long to type portrait style! My iPhone5 has terrible Network connection. It rarely works at the normal speed-if ever. I usually get 3G or 1x network dozens of times a day. My phone also gets pretty hot when i try to use any data for more than a few minutes.

My iPhone5 network connection has been terrible for the past week and a half. My phone is no more than a year old so I don't see why it would be a problem with the phone. When I try to use the internet or look for apps or anything like that, anything that uses data really, it takes FOREVER if it even loads! Most of the time it won't even load. My network changes from LTE(which doesn't work well) to 3G(which works even less) and then to 1x(which basically doesn't work at all). This happens dozens of times a day. It's getting quite irritating. I've tried turning my phone off and letting it sit for a while and that does nothing. I'd really prefer NOT to restore my phone. What is the deal??!

Are you broadcasting your SSID? Sometimes this can cause a problem connecting. Is this Cisco router running any turbo modes or special preparatory protocols.
There are no know issues with Wi-Fi connectivity except on first connection; and the chance of 2 devices having the exact same issue is very unlikely. This sounds like something to do with your wireless router.
Have you tried to connect to another Wi-Fi hotspot elsewhere?
Do you have any 2.4 GHz wireless phones or security system that could interfere with connection?
