HT3650 Glitches exporting aux channels using the blank region method. Any solutions?

I've ended up with LOTS of glitches in the output from the stems. Does anyone have a reliable way to use this method? E.g., one aux track was receiving a left channel only track and a right channel track but the exported file only had the right channel!

Yes my particular issue is not like yours. However, there have been many other laptop users experiencing similar problem to yours after 3.10 kernel. Mostly it seems to be bumblebee users that experience your problem with the blank screen. We do know that nvidia have yet to make their official drivers work with kernel 3.10 and up. The drivers in the Arch repository have been patched to work with 3.10. From what I have seen, this also only seem to be affecting laptops with newer nvidia gpu's. I fear there is not much to do with this problem until nvidia give official 3.10 kernel support.
My suggestion would be to stick with 3.9.9 kernel and the drivers that work with it, and don't upgrade those packages until nvidia has addressed these issues. If you have a look at the nvidia forums you will see quite a number of topics mentioning black screen when starting x on 3.10 kernel, and also a thread for the system dying. Reading some of the threads there may help you keep up to date on whether or not the issue seem to be solved.

Why can I no longer export alpha channels in the new FCPX update (10.0.6)?

While the new update is rich with new goodies- I am having some issues doing some things. My main concern is the inability to export alpha channels in the 10.0.6 updated version of FCPX.
I followed the following steps, same as before the update.
I used the Keying effect to remove the greenscreen and did some cleanup using the "sample color" refining tool.
I cropped and resized the clip so that the actor is the correct size for my clip.
Now it looks great in FCPX, except that I now need to put that footage into Motion 5 and do some motion tracking and match move.
I export the keyed clip as Apple Pro Res 4444
Now when I import that file into Motion 5 everything that is supposed to be transparant is black!
Is there an additional setting in the new version that I need to fix in order to export alphas? Is there a new way to do it?
I am operating Mountain Lion, OSX Version 10.8.2 with a 2.66 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon processor.

You got me curious so had to test and validate some of the above, forgive me if I go a little OT in the process.
Have you set your background to checkerboard, I find psycologically this makes a difference, though in exporting it does not...
screen grab below, from 422 timeline, showing original, exported 444 and then imported file comp'd in and scaled down for differentiation in FCPX, note that the project render parameter is actually set to 422 NOT 444 as fox_m suggested, it still works.
This one below shows the above scenario exported 444, with background set to black in pref's, note the overlap showing transparency, again in FCPX. This is purely to illustrate that the checkerboard and black backgrounds are not relevant, only that the 444 on export is relevant.
Hopefully this illustrates that cropping and 444 exports are working.

Removing Aux Channels in the mixer

Hello people, does any body know about this? I´m trying to delete an Aux Channel in the mixer that I don´t need anymore, I have checked the manual, etc and i cannot believe you cannot remove a Aux channel ... I mean it should let you arrange your mixer the way you want ... Thanks in advance for the help.

Hmm... As soon as I select an Aux track in the mixer, and then hit the "Delete" button, I'm given a prompt telling me that I'm about delete objects that are assigned to tracks in the Arrange Window.... Do I want to "Cancel", "Delete Anyway", or "Delete Used and Continue".
So I absolutely can delete an Aux track from the Mixer window, even one in use.
How are you trying to delete it?

I need to export Quicktime files using the PhotoJPEG, MJPEG-A, or DV codec. Is this possible in Final Cut Pro X? In the options under export I don't see any of these available.

Remember that Arch Arm is a different distribution, but we try to bend the rules and provide limited support for them. This may or may not be unique to Arch Arm, so you might try asking on their forums as well.

Export as mp3 ignores the cycle region

When I try to export a portion of the multitrack file based on the cycle region as an mp3 file, it ignores the region and exports to the end, even though only the short clip is soloed. After export, it turns off cycle region. When I export as aiff, it honors the cycle region? Any thoughts? Anyone else experience this?

Hi - Im just wondering did you solve this issue? I am trying to export a selection of video as a podcast using the i/o poitns of cycle. When I export, it exports the whole video file and not the selection. Any ideas?

HT4796 i have successfully migrated the music but it just shows up in my files and has not updated my iTunes library which is still getting the music from iCloud and is not using the migrated files. Any ideas?

If you're using Windows Movie Maker and HP Photo to build slide shows, this is not an iPod touch issue (nor an iTunes issue), so I'd suggest you take up the problem on a web site that deals with Movie Maker or HP Photo issues. It's really not something we can help with in this forum.
If you're building this slide show on your iPod, please post back and tell us what app(s) you're trying to use, and whether the iPod app on your iPod touch shows and plays your songs correctly. Knowing the specific model of iPod you have and the version of iOS it's running will probably also help.

I would like to download a production desciption into my website like I have before, but it says I can't use the copy/paster method anymore. Why?

I right click, and Copy from an HTML description from my drop shipper. Then I go to my website and right click to Paste.
One of two things happens. (1) if it does copy, the text prints over the image; OR (2) I get a message that Firefox does not apply a Cut/Copy/Paste.

I was told by my webmaster to eliminate the following but I don't see it on my products page: <table align="center" border="0" cellpadding="1" cellspacing="1" width="100%>.

Using the Process.getOutputStream() method

Hi all,
i have written a java program that executes System commands and returns output...
this program works fine if you want to only execute the command and returns output...
but suppose that the program that you executed waits for you to input something before returning ouput?!!
i suppose i have to use the Process.getOutputStraem() method in my prog!
but i don't know how to do that :-(
can any one help me to refine the prog to handle this case !

streamGobbler class but this time using a
OutputStreamReader and may be doing sth elseThe "Gobbler" is there to eat up whatever bytes become available on an InputStream (from the program's output). I don't think ou just want to try to use the same class to handle the program's input.
The Gobbler can be used for eating up whatever comes out of any program--it' general, and doesn't rely on any particular output from the program (input to the Gobler). This is not the case for whatever writes to the program's input. You'll need to write what the program expects in the proper order.

An application needs to be compiled with the "-target-player=10" argument to allow SWFLoader's unloadAndStop() function to use the Flash Player's unloadAndStop() function. If the argument is not provided then the Flash Player unload() function will be called instead.

I have been looking into it as well and seem to have found quite a simple solution...
First you need to create an instance of a UIScrollView in the .h file:
IBOutlet UIScrollView *scrollView;
Then in the .m file, add the following line of code in the viewDidLoad method:
scrollView.contentSize = CGSizeMake(320, 700);
Then in IB all you need to do is set the files owner to the controller file we have set up above, drag a new instance of UIScrollView to the window. Then set two of its referencing objects to the File's Owner (view and the scrollView we have defined).
You can then add as many labels etc to the scroll view by dragging in IB. Load it all up and the view scrolls perfectly and displays all labels!

Strange behaviour using the "Save Region(s) As..."

I'm encountering some apparently repeatable oddities when using the "Save Region(s) As..." command.
I take one long track, snip it up into smaller regions (say, 20) and then in the Audio Window menu, select all the regions and use "Save Region(s) As..." from the Audio File menu.
What happens is that the FIRST time I try this Logic only saves EVERY FOURTH REGION as a new audio file, ie if I had 20 regions selected I'll only get 5 new audio files!
If I select all the regions and try it again, Logic now saves all the regions correctly and in order.
(File conversion settings all are set to "Preserve Original" "No Change".)
Anyone else?

correction:
this only happens when i delete the first region, then save the remainder. to clarify:
load audio file. there's one region showing, which consists of the entire audio file. go make 16 new regions, so you've got 17 total. delete the first one, which is the full length of the file. now you've got 16. select all 16 by click-dragging down the side of the audio window so all 16 are selected. "save regions as..." saves only regions 2-16.
when i don't do that initial delete of the full-length region, all regions are saved properly.
