HT3669 What about Kodak printer/scanners?

I see nothing on the list of supported printers/scanners for Kodak products. What's up with that?

The list is just the drivers that Apple has been provided with from the vendor so that they are available via Software Update. It is not a "only these printers are supported" list. So you probably just need to check the Kodak web site for a supporting driver for your particular model.

ps - by the away, edge code is not listed on adobe wish form, sorry if i´m not on the right path.

    Hi Ana,
Edge Code is based on the open-source Brackets project, so most future feature ideas are tracked on its public backlog here.  You can upvote the print feature here: https://trello.com/c/6mJSwhYU/934-print-source-code.  If you don't see a feature listed on the Brackets backlog, feel free to post a request here.
Printing source code is a relatively uncommon use case these days, so we're unlikely to add this feature in the near future.  However, as a workaround you can use the Copy as HTML extension to copy the fully color-coded HTML source code of a file (or part of a file), and then paste it into an app like Word to print it from there.  To install this extension, go to File > Extension Manager, click "Install From URL," and then enter the URL I linked to above.
    Hope that helps!

  • HT3669 What about Epson Stylus C42?!

I can't locate a download for my old, but good, Epson Stylus C42.  It's not on the Apple List, but also not on the list of drivers not available.  Am I missing something or just need to give up and get a new printer?  Thanks!

Based on the page below, it looks like Epson stopped supporting this printer for the Mac a long time ago.
Given that, and given Apple's lack of support, I suspect it's time ...  as you suggest.

  • Ordering Kodak prints through iPhoto - what kind of paper do they use?

What kind of paper is used when you use the Kodak printing services in iPhoto - matte, gloss?? Seems there is not an option to select a choice.

I'm sorry I don't know, but it makes totally sense to suggest this to be changed in the future. I don't know what I would order trough iPhoto, so I simply avoid disappointment...
I'm curious too, most probably: glossy

  • New HH3 - Issues with Kodak Printer and iPhone 3GS

    Hello,
    Here is the background:
Previously had a D-Link DSL-G624M router and everything connected wirelessly. This included 2 laptops, Kodak ESP 5250 Printer and iPhone 3GS. Router broadcasting on channel 6 (locked).
Since upgrading to Infinity replaced the D-Link with a HH3. Laptops connect fine but have issues with other wireless devices.
iPhone: Seems to lose internet (not necessarily wireless connection though) intermittently. The phone remains connected to the HH3 and can be seen in the DHCP table and Home Network screens. The iPhone also reports that it is connected to the HH3. However, when attempting to access the internet using either Safari or apps it doesn't work. This can be fixed by forgetting the network and re-joining or turning Airplane Mode on and then off.
Kodak ESP5250 Printer: This connects fine to the HH3 and remains in the DHCP table and Home Network with the correct IP Address. Laptop A is able to connect and print successfully. However, after putting the laptop into sleep mode and re-waking it it is unable to Print. The Printer is still connected to the HH3 and laptop claims it is 'Ready' but unable to print. The only way i have found to fix this is to re-install the entire Printer software!! However, Laptop B does not have this problem and can be put into Sleep mode, Hibernate or restart and the printer remain connected. I do not think it is a firewall issue as able to connect until re-waking from sleep.
You're probably thinking the same as me that this sounds like hardware issues and not the HH3. Maybe coincidence that it started happening after changing to HH3. Maybe something wrong with the iPhone or Laptop A and/or Printer?!? Tried setting a manual channel on the HH3 as suggested by other posts but this had no effect. (Used inSSIDer to determine best channel). Also increased the IP Address lease time from 1 Day to 21 Days - but again no difference.
Current situation: Connected the D-Link router to the HH3 using Ethernet cable. Disabled DHCP and DNS on the D-Link router and kept SSID different. Now connected all devices to the D-Link router and nothing to the HH3 and everything is working as it did previously. The iPhone remains stable and the Kodak printer remains connected to both Laptops after re-waking from Sleep Mode.
I haven't yet contacted BT but i'm leaning towards it being a dodgy HH3. Anyone have any suggestions??
    Thanks,
    Martyn...

For starters, there's nothing wrong with your Iphone or Kodak prn. The issue is the HH3
I had a very similar issue connecting iMac, iPad, Macbook Pro, iPhone, Thinkpad and Canon prn via wireless to the HH3... Lots of disconnections, devices that couldn't log in, very low wireless speeds, printer not recognized, etc,etc
I went mad, pretty much did the same things as you did: inSSIDer, changing channels, re-installing whole softw drv !, reorientating HH3 position, manually assigning IPs and channels... nothing would seem to work!
Then I connected a Netgear router to HH3 via ethernet cable -like you did- and suddenly everything seemed to go back to normal. Here's what I found out after much head knocking:
    1) The issue is the HH3, not that it's faulty but simply put it can't deal with lots of wireless traffic. The minute you connect several devices it gets clogged up
    2) HH3 seem not to recognize WiFI printers that have a 'static' IP (not sure why)...  this was a nightmare
    3) if you have many devices connected, HH3 doesn't  seem to 'like' Apple devices or wifi Airport powered (not sure why). After sleep mode these device can't pick up IP over the air, and you need to manually renew DHCP leases. There are several reports about this in Apple forums.
    So here's what I did:
    1) I ditched the HH3
    2) I connected the Openreach router to a dual-band Netgear wndr3400 **cable** router (PPPoE connection)
    3) I re-installed the prn drv in USB mode and then added wifi printer in wifi mode while usb connected
    4) I created two-split WIFI networks; one in the channel 6/2.4Ghz frequency and another in the channels 44-48/5Ghz freq to which I assigned most devices (It seems BT Infinity wifi works best in 5Ghz channels)
Results: all devices recognised & connected via WiFI, no disconnections, steady WIFI speed almost as fast as ethernet cable, wifi prn prints fine from all devices... No more WIFI connnectivity issues.
I hope this helps, good luck
(note: my current issue is that my profile dropped from 34/8 to 21/2 during testing phase)

  • Trouble hooking my Mac up to my Kodak printer dock... help!!!

Oh boy, do I ever need help! I'm not even sure where else to turn or what to do next, so any and all suggestions are MORE than welcome!!!!!
I guess the best way to do this would be to copy and paste the email I sent to both Kodak and Apple. Then you can see what it is exactly that's going on.
"I have the Kodak Easyshare printer dock that I got as a gift in June of 2005. It worked printing pictures off of my old computer (a 2002 Gateway desktop) but that computer crashed and now I have a new Macbook OS X Version 10.4.10. The new computer is not recognizing the printer dock, although I downloaded all of the new software and drivers. My camera is recognized fine, but I can't print from home.
When I spoke with customer support yesterday, we both uninstalled and installed software and drivers, did a test print from the printer itself (which worked fine) and plugged and unplugged the USB cord multiple times. None of these things worked and the representative suggested I talk to the computer company to see if the problem was there.
I went into the Apple store today and had a Mac specialist take a look at the computer and programs. He also uninstalled and installed software and checked to see if the printer was being recognized under the system profiler. The specialist could find nothing wrong with the computer, which is brand-new (only about two weeks old) and suggested I call Kodak back and ask that they email me a driver, tell me where to put it in my computer, and hook up the printer that way.
I called Kodak again today after visiting the Apple store, and spent about an hour on the phone with another representitive, who informed me that the drivers were all located on the website and could not be emailed. We went through a lot of the same procedures that I did with the representitive yesterday and that the specialist did at the Apple store, and the Kodak representitive ended up speaking with her supervisor and telling me that the problem might be with my USB cord. She said to plug my printer into another computer and see if it was recognized under the system profilier printer section. I tested that, and the printer dock was not recognized under the printer section, but was recognized under the USB section.
If I have used the same USB cord to transfer pictures from my camera to my computer, and if the USB section of the system profiler recognizes that the printer is hooked up, then wouldn't that mean the USB cord is working? Should I buy a new USB cord anyways? If the USB cord is in fact not the problem, and both the printer dock itself and the computer itself are working fine, what are the next steps I should take? I do not want to have to get a new camera and, as the printer dock is working, I don't think it would make sense to get rid of that one.
I suppose the big question I am asking is where should I turn now to get this problem fixed? I feel as though I've done everything I can, but I still can't print pictures and I would like to be able to. Your support would be appreciated."
Help me help me help me!!!! THANKS!!!!!

I was having the same problems as you, but I finally got the Kodak driver recognized. This was on an iMac Core Duo 2 w/10.4.10. Here are the steps I used:
    1. Disconnect the printer from Mac. This is an important step.
    2. Restart the Mac.
    3. Using the CD that came with Kodak printer, uninstall the printer drivers. If you do not have the CD, you can go to folder HD -> Library -> Printers -> Kodak -> Printers, and run the KodakPrinterUninstaller app there.
    4. When done, restart the Mac again.
    5. Now download Kodak Printer Driver package 5.0.0 as linked above from Durante.
    6. Run installer to install driver.
    7. Restart the Mac again.
    8. Now connect the Kodak printer (via USB) and turn on.
    9. Using the steps listed by Durante again, you should be able to see "Kodak Printers" in the pop-up menu. On my system, it is between "HP IP Printing" and Lexmark Inkjet Networking".
I may have more restarts than necessary, but I did not attempt to optimize my steps. I was just glad I was able to finally recognize the printer. Good luck to you.

  • Kodak Printer Software Problem

I installed a Kodak printer which I returned. I removed all of the software, but my system continues to execute this command about every two minutes.
    4/25/12 11:06:15.059 AM com.apple.launchd.peruser.501: (com.kodak.StatisticCollection[26317]).
How do I stop it? I have searched everywhere to find what is causing this but it doesn't come up in any searches.
    TIA

Only the obvious one: do you have the latest driver, and does that cope with Lion? Kodak's stated requirements include this, which is slightly suspect. Obviously an interaction problem with Kodak?  Try exploring whatever help Kodak have.

Could you provide the exact wording and punctuation of the message, and try Googling that yourself -- when you google leave out unimportant words and punctuations, group words that are still together as in original message within quotes or with hyphens so that google will look for those words together in that order.

  • HT4356 How do I set up iPad to use wireless Kodak printer?

I have iPad 2. looked at air print instructions but Kodak printers are not listed. can I not use iPad with printer that is not listed?

As noted, most Kodak printers are not air print enabled (if not all) but there are work arounds.
First, Kodak has apps that may do what you want done. Search for Kodak in the app store (just make sure they print documents if that's what you need, most of hte ones I saw the last time I looked only printed photos)
Second, Kodak has a partnership with Google Docs that allow some options. Such as the ability to e-mail your document to some models. Or to have a program on a comptuer that's hardwired to the printer, you mail/upload the document from your iPad, then download to the hardwired comptuer that then prints.  (I didn't dig too deeply because I just didn't need yet another online account)
Third, third party apps. I use Print n Share, others recomment Printopia or Print Central.
I have a 7250 and use Print n Share and it works just fine with my Kodak printer.
Look on the Kodak site, under the support part and for info specific to your model and see what options you have for your model printer.

i have an hp chromebook 14 and for more than a year i have tried to connected to my cloud ready kodak printer without success. please help, i dont have a third device or anything like that it has to be directly from my chromebook to my printer.

    @giselcano ,
Hello and thank you for posting on the HP support forum.  If you are able to connect to the internet with your chrome book then what you will need to do is contact google support for their cloud printing.
Welcome to the Google Cloud Print Help Center
All the printing handled through the cloud is handled by Google and not HP.
If the cloud is connecting correctly you will have to contact Kodak support.
Thank you again for posting and have a great day
Please click the "Thumbs Up" on the bottom right of this post to say thank you if you appreciate the support I provide!
Also be sure to mark my post as “Accept as Solution" if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others who face the same challenge find the same solution.

  • What about translate of a pdf from spanish to engish???

Hi: Some one know about translate....what about translate of a pdf from spanish to engish???

I had thought about using PDF/X. I certainly wouldn't use PDF/X-1a if there is any RGB; PDF/X-3 may be OK, but you do need to know what the output intent is, or you can end up with unexpected colour shifts, especially if (not recommended) the file used device colour spaces. If an ICC blend space was used for transparency, that can safely be used as the output intent.
Flattening layers is a trivial operation; the layers aren't separate as in Photoshop. Rather, each thing in a PDF might have a marker putting it in a layer. Stripping out all these markers leaves you without layers, and with everything visible.
Flattening transparency is more problematic. However, it has to happen every time you print, one way or another, so it is well tried.
Flattening will change some of the elements in the file, turning some things into curves, some things into rasters - anything that looks the same. Here is where the quality comes in. These NEW bitmaps have to have a suitable resolution. Images are not the main quality problem - text is far more of an issue. It is not a thing to do with a PDF for interactive use, as the text can degrade on screen and become unsearchable. But the transparency flattener has quality settings (you have the same settings in the print dialog).

  • Kodak print option not appearing in my print dialoge

    Hi all,
I REALLY hope someone can help me. I just installed PhotoShop Elements 8 for Mac OS X. One of the main reasons I installed this product is to have the capability to print Kodak prints using my existing Kodak Gallery Account. Based on my understanding, Adobe says this is possible. Yet, when I go to the print dialogue in PSE 8 the only option I have available to me is to print on my home computer.
What is wrong? What am I missing?
    Thanks,
    Jody

Since Organizer is not present on MAC, the option to print through kodak is not there on MAC.
