That means there was a problem with the download and you need to just download it again.

if your SSD is only 60 GBs, then you don't have space on which to install Windows. That 27 GBs is space you need to have for adding files you create, music you download, added applications, pictures, etc. You need to maintain at least 10 GBs as free space for OS X, plus you need space for files OS X will create and add to over time.
Your 60 GB SSD is just a minimum usable size for OS X. There isn't sufficient space to also support Windows which requires close to 25 GBs of the 27 GBs you still have free. Sorry, but that just doesn't really work well. -

As Kappy posted, Mac OS X Versions 10.1, 10.2, 10.3, and 10.4, are complete system upgrades that must be purchased.
Once an OS is installed, the point upgrades, such as 10.1.x to 10.1.5 (Final) 10.2.x to 10.2.8 (Final), 10.3.x to 10.3.9 (Final), and 10.4.x to 10.4.8 (Pending), can be downloaded for free.
Tiger is available for purchase at The Apple Store (U.S.).
If you know what to look for, a Full Retail Version, of the Tiger Install DVD, can also be purchased rather inexpensively, at some online Apple retailers, Amazon, eBay, AppleRescue, FastMac, etc.
Be sure not to purchase grey, upgrade or machine specific CDs or DVDs.

Trying to install wifi adapter but NM say no
As titled, trying to revive older Dell with XP sp3 for shop. Installed linksys with speedbooster wusb546s ver2. Nice, as its got a long enough cord to set by window and get signal from house. However NM says it cant add because 'other software' controlling adapter?? only way is disabling all securities,
So I went and got a Dlink dwa-131 but same issue except it doenst get signal unless desk top setting in window, (another non option).
I have a wrt120n router, network magic (I know no longer supported) DSL connection. Have IPAD, IPOD, BluRay player, HP laptop w/7 64bit wifi, Compac with XP sp3 (cabled to router), Dell laptop w/vista 32 wifi, HP wireless printer. trying to add Dell with XPsp3, but adding the adapters software conflicts with NM?
Tried unstalling adapter software and loading drivers-got it to connect but as noted only with network wide open (so software wasnt involved)
Is there a simple way to add a computer using a usb wifi adapter-thats compatible with NM? Ive never had an issue adding stuff but this adapter thing simply has me stumped because of the software. Ive looked around but cant find any real info.

Go to Solution.Possible that the conflict is with the wireless utilities installed on the computer and the utility which the network magic software is supporting. But from what I know, you should be able to add a device no matter what the utility is being used. Mostly for dell laptops, they have dell wlan card utility on them. For windows laptops, they also have a windows based wireless utility which is called wireless zero configuration. Usually for dell laptops, the dell wireless utility is the default utility that is enabled. I suggest that you disable the dell wireless wlan utility. To do it: right click on the dell icon at the bottom right corner of the screen, click on open dell utility, uncheck let this tool manage your wireless settings, then click apply and then ok. After the utility has been disabled, try to connect to your network using the windows wireless utility (this link will guide you). After connecting to your network using the windows utility, try to add the computer then to the network magic software.

Even though it is wireless, plug in the USB cable and go to the Apple Menu and select software update. The drivers should download on their own.
Otherwise go to www.hp.com and download the drivers from there. The ones on CD are VERY old.

PLease, I am trying to install I DVD but it says that an eligible iDVD application was not found in the location /Applications.
Somebody can help me?It sounds as if you're trying to install an update rather than the actual application itself. iDVD is no longer included with new Macs and you'll need to use your original Applications disc to install it (or, if you never had it at all, but iLife '11 from Amazon to get iDVD).

Without a bootable backup/clone or a Time Machine backup of your previous Snow Leopard installation or a saved copy of Lion's install app, you'll have to upgrade your Leopard volume to Snow Leopard (10.6.6+) so you can waste another hour or more DLing the Lion thing again.

i have a mac osx version 10.6.8 no windows installed and i am trying to install a program but keep getting can not run in dos mode ( the disk says on back works on intel mac with parallels or vm fusion) is this program not compatible with my mac?
You run Windows in Parallels or Fusion. Then in Windows you install the program.

I purchased CS5 Design Standard about 5 years ago. Now I am trying to install second PC, but I got a message like " This serial number is not correct." I want to know the correct serial number, but I missed my ex adobe ID because I've changed my E-mail address.
It is not clear to me what your issue is with not being able to sign in to your Adobe account to find the serial number. You should still be able to sign in and find your serial number if you registered the software.
If your first PC is a Windows machine you might be able to extract the serial number from it using the Belarc Advisor

If your computer is running an OS X prior to Snow Leopard 10.6,
the answer (if it is an Intel-based Mac; not old PowerPC model)
would be to buy the retail Snow Leopard 10.6 DVD from Apple
for about $20, and install it. Then update that to 10.6.8 by using
the installed Snow Leopard online to get Combo Update v1.1 for
Snow Leopard 10.6.8. After that is installed & updated, run the
system's Software Update again, to see what else is available to
that system.
Later systems can then be looked into at Mac App Store, once
the computer is running Snow Leopard 10.6.8.
And if your computer is a Power PC (G4/G5, etc) and has no
Core2Duo kind of CPU -- See "About this Mac" in apple menu
to disclose the general info about your Mac. Also you can see
even more by clicking on "More Info" when looking in there...
If it isn't an Intel-based Mac, it can't run a system past 10.5.8.
