Hello!  How do I block my kids from purchasing in app content from games when they are playing on our ipod?  I just got it last week and haven't figured that out.  Can I get charged from them clicking "buy"  without my signing in?  HELP!   Thanks.

  • IPad saying that it is unable to purchase in apps purchases

My Ipad was working fine, i was able to make in app purchases etc. My grandson was visiting and wanted to play minecraft, so put his apple ID in so he could download hos content to my ipad, played his game for the visit, then deleted all details of his itunes acount when he left. He at no point downloaded anythng esle but minecraft.
Now however, when i try and make in app purchases on my account with apps downloaded with my own ID I get the following
"Unable to Purchase. This item is for an app that was purchased by a different apple ID. To buy this item with this apple ID you must first purchase the app".
I have purchesed the app. I really dont fancy starting agian. As I said ipad was fine until we did this minecraft thing.
    Any suggestions??

The message would indicate the the app was not purchased with that account.
    You can try:
    - Go to Settings>iTunes and App Store and sign out
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Go to itunes and App Store and sign in
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

  • Unable to purchase Australian apps on UK phone

I live in Australia and I went to the UK for a holiday. I had to buy a new iPhone while I was over in the UK but since returning to Australia I have been unable to purchase apps because my apple ID is for the Australian store. How can I fix this?

I am having the same issues with both my iPad 1 and my iPhone 4S.  It hangs saying "waiting" for sometimes hours or even over night.  But just now it took 20mins to update 5 items on my iPhone but currently racking up 1 hour on my ipad1.  Been having this issue since Sunday also.

  • Unable to purchase - iOS6 app store problem

For the last three days whenever I try to either update a previously purchased app or purchase a new one I get the error message:
Unable to purchase please try again at a later time.
This is on an iPhone 4 which has been upgraded to iOS 6 and is a 'Verizon iPhone.
The phone is set up to only attempt app downloads when on WiFi.
I have tried opening and closing the app store app and restarting the iPhone - so far no help. I have alos logged out of itunes and logged back in. again no help.

It occurred to me that I needed to go back over everything I had done with the phone for the past few days. I remembered deciding to give the new podcast app a try. I selected several podcasts I wanted to listen to and even subscribe to. I started the download process but it would seem to complete and then require restarting.
I opened the podcast app, and deleted everything I had added and turned of ll subscriptions. After that there were no further problems with the App Store. I would guess that the podcast app was somehow bumping the connection to itunes so that the App Store couldn't connect.

  • Trouble purchasing in-app content

I've got Super Stickman Golf on both my iPads. After opening the app, on the initial screen there is a button titled "Pro Shop". I click on that and click the purchase button to buy some in-app content for the game. After inputting my password, I get a message telling me I can't purchase the content because I don't have the app that it belongs to. But i DO have the app that the content belongs to. Afterall, how would I be able to attmempt the purchase in the first place. And yes, I've got in-app purchases enabled in Settings.
    What am I missing?

I've done the reboot but no dice.
I just checked and apparently my iPads are on a different Apple ID than my computer. I guess that's the problem. Trouble for me now is how do I fixt it. This ID stuff has got me stumped.
If I change my computer ID, I think I won't be able to access any of my iTunes content anymore. And I don't know what the ramifications of changing the ID's on my iPads is.
I wish I could just consolidate it all.

  • Can't purchase in-app content because of of wrong Apple ID?

I have a game that I played for a while on my iTouch. Once I got my iPhone, I synced it in iTunes and put everything from my touch to my phone. However, if I want to purchase any in-app content for the games that were originally on the iTouch, I get an error message saying that the app was purchased with a different Apple ID. I don't have any other Apple ID, I only have one. I can download other apps just fine, but this one is just being stubborn.
How can I fix this problem?

First, you are digging up a thread that has been dead for almost a year. So you have no idea what the context of the ASC was at that time and what folks were posting over and over here.
Secondly if you spend just a little time on the ASC you will quickly learn that folks make random Apple ID accounts all of the time.
As far as the exact situation which you mention, you can change the primary email account associated with an Apple ID, without changing the ID, which is why I have an @mac.com Apple ID that uses an @gmail.com email address. And it was for the very reason you mention, I got the @mac.com account (accounts which pre-date @me.com by a number of years) for a free trial, but didn't feel that I wanted to pay $100 a year to use it after the trial period ended, but I had used the account during the trial to acquire a lot of Apple content that I did not wish to loose.

  • TS1702 Unable to purchase in-app products

So I just got me a Mini 16GB Black B Ipad, and I've gone through the set up. I've logged out, turned it off, turned it back on and logged in, I've even followed some of the go to restrictions make code etc and still nothing. It comes up with """ Your Purchase Could Not Be Completed, For information go to www.apple.com/support/itunes/ww/ """ But I can't find anything on there that tells me why it can't go ahead with the purchase. Does this to more than one app.
