HT3702 dispute a charge...

I apparently bought something twice I only intended to buy once.  I tried to report a problem, but it kept opening word documents I can't read.  Anyone have a fix?

    First you should call your credit card company and tell them.  Second take your financial information out of your iTunes account. This happened to me twice. My I disputed it with the bank and I got back all my money stollen. Usually they give a phone # that is bogus, they give you a web site to look up. That is proof that it's fraud. And you are not the only person this has happened to. Go to iTunes support, and let them know they won't give you your money back. But if we all start telling them that there privacy link does not work and is getting hacked into they will have to do something about it. Also, in the future buy an iTunes card. They sell them every where even the food store carries them.

    Since you disputed the charges with your credit card company, the CC company reversed the charges and Apple (correctly) locked the AppleID.

    I've disputed the charges with my credit card company but they asked I contact Apple.

    Hello I was wondering if someone sends money using "friends or family" option, can it ever be charged back or disputed? In the past I have sold online game items (Ingame currency and items) for real money. I always give the buyer what he paid for and what we agreed to.  Now a few times the buyer will dispute the charge, deliberately scamming me after I have gave them the item / gold. I literally have no protection because I'm selling an online item, therefore there's no shipping. I'll sell $50 in gold (in game currency to the buyer, and I'll give it to him. Then a few days later he'll dispute it on purpose to scam me because he knows he'll get away. I HATE scammers, and I'm tired of getting scammed.I'm tired of getting ripped off, and losing the items that I worked hard for to get.
     So I'm wondering if someone sends me money via friends and family option can it be disputed or charged back? It seems like this is my only option. I'm a honest seller, and I always give the buyer what he wants. I'm tired of getting scammed because paypal always goes with the buyer. So I'm down $50 and they just keep the items I gave them.  I REALLY need to know. So if someone sends money using the option friends and family, can it be disputed?
     

    1. You are not allowed to sell and ask a buyer to pay using the friends / family option, if paypal realise that is what you are doing you risk your account being limited. 2. A person can't dispute a friends / family payment BUT they can do a chargeback directly via their credit card company if they used a c.c. to fund their paypal payment.     **************************************  I give up my time to help you so a thank you or kudos would be cool.

    If your positive you didn't make the purchase and neither did anyone in your house, then you should be contacting your credit card company to dispute the charge. You should also change your iTunes Store account password and security questions.

  • Disputing Engineer Charge

    I had an engineer visit about 4 months ago to fix a fault.  The fault was with the internal wiring but on the BT side of the master socket.  It was a BT installed (and branded) junction box that needed repairing.  It was on a wall 7 feet up in a room that has no trace of damp.  It looked ancient and that it had failed simply due to age.
    It met none of the criteria listed here http://bt.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/124​39/c/ which are described as being chargeable, but I have now had a £99.99 added to my bill as a "home improvement charge"
    How do I dispute this charge?

    If these charges are being made to a credit or debit card, the most immediate thing you need to do is to call your credit card company or bank and report the unauthorized charges. That company can contact Apple if they need additional information.
    Next, log into your iTunes Store account and see if the purchases are reflected in the Purchase History. If they are, immediately change the password to your iTunes Store account, making sure it's not something easily guessed or looked up. Then go here:
    http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/
    and follow the instructions to report the issue to the iTunes Store. 
    If the charges are not reflected in the Purchase History, then it's most likely a fraudulent charge to your credit card directly rather than an unauthorized purchase through your iTunes Store account in which case it will be up to your bank to handle.
