    If you have a balance on your iTunes account then that will automatically be used for purchases before your credit card will be - you can't change how items are billed.
    You could try gifting items to yourself, you can only gift via a credit card (I haven't tried it but I think that you should be able to gift items to yourself)

    Create a NEW account using these instructions. Make sure you follow the instructions. Many do not and if you do not you will not get the None option. You must use an email address that you have not used with Apple before.

    There is no automatic way to do this because any purchases made with your account are assumed to be authorized by you.  If this involved account hacking you can report it to iTunes Store but purchases made with a credit card should be reported to the card fraud department.

    You probably will not be able to get a refund. The iTunes Store makes it pretty clear that gifts are redeemable only in the same country, and the terms of sale say that all sales are final. But you can contact the iTunes Store and ask:

    Does anyone know how and if it is possible to get a refund from iTunes?
    I have spent hundreds of pounds (stupidly) buying TV programmes on iTunes which I am unable to watch because the fine people at iTunes keep releasing updates that aren't compatible with Windows users and quite frankly I have had enough and I give up even trying to get it to work especially when no one from Apple seems to provide a solution.
    As far as I am concerned I have paid for a service that does not work and I want my money back and I'd like to know if anyone has tried to get a refund before and how they went about it.

    But this is a problem at their end not mine.
    I'm not asking for a refund for anything I have lost as I back everything up daily now because of the last time itunes crashed my laptop. I am just asking them to refund the money I have spent on programmes and movies I have bought because THEIR viewing programmes don't work.
    I see it as selling someone water without anything to drink it out of.
    They are conning people into buying music, TV programmes and movies without providing a way for people to view them...
    Well, they do, it just doesn't work.
    iTunes is not excempt from having to give refunds. And if they say they don't have to then they are breaking the law.
    I bought a product and I can't use it because the legal software they say I have to use doesn't work ergo they HAVE to give me a refund. I have read the terms and conditions many times and nowhere does it say that they are above and beyond the simple and basic trading standards of every other company on this planet.
    Lets say Nintendo refused to give a refund because they had sold Wii's that were faulty, what do you think would happen? I am using this as an example because they make games that are only compatible with their product. Why would anyone carry on buying Wii games when they had no way of using them?
    They wouldn't.
    Why can Apple get away with this when every other company can't?
    I want a refund or a way for me to watch the products they sold me. I've posted updates on my other thread on the current status of my iTunes and Quicktime problem and no one seems to have an answer.
    Personally, I'm not spending one more penny in the iTunes store. I'm going old school and I'm just going to wait for the DVD's to come out and buy CD's like I used to do. At least that way I have a store to go into and a human being to shout at if anything goes wrong.

    My 5-year-old son somehow managed to spend $70 on an in-app purchase.  I don't know how he was able to do it without a password and I want to get a refund.  I can't find anywhere that I can ask for a refund.  I even clicked on the "report a problem" in the receipt that was emailed to me but that didn't get me anywhere.  A child shouldn't be able to purchase items on a game without a password when it takes a password to get free apps.

    Perhaps you have had your account hacked by someone. Someone you know or a stranger. The first thing is to change the password in your Apple ID so that they cannot continue to buy things with your account. Second, if the None option is available in your iTunes account payment methods, select that and remove the bank card info.

    If you are trying to set up an iTunes Store account without a credit card, presuming you only want the free apps take a look here:

    Read the steps carefully as the order in which you follow them is  critical. Note that you can do this only when creating a new Apple ID. You cannot use an existing ID. 
    You will of course not be able to get anything other than the free apps without entering in some sort of payment method (credit card, prepaid iTunes card, gift certificate, etc.)

    You can try contacting iTunes support via this page and see if they will refund or credit you : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption
    To try and stop it happening again you can use Settings > General > Restrictions to stop in-app purchases and to require your password to be entered for each download from the store.

    The charge was probably for in-app purchases. Many developers make the base app available for free but charge for additional features such as new levels, game details such as "coins", tools, weapons, etc. So it's very likely that your daughter made this purchases without you knowing about it. I'd recommend turning off in-app purchases in the Restrictions settings on the iPhone/iPad/iPod she's using to prevent this from occuring in the future. You may wish to also turn off installing new apps so she can't purchase a new app without your approval.
    As to a refund, you probably cannot get one, since the terms of sale for the iTunes Store state that all sales are final. You can contact the iTunes Store, explain the reason for your request, and ask, though:

    It's possible they'll make an exception for you.
