When you log out or shut down, there will be a checkbox that asks you if you want to reopen windows when you log in. Just uncheck this box. If that isn't it, you may have login items turned on. Go to System Preferences>Users and Groups and then under your name click the Login Itens tab. Make sure nothing is there.
If you want to stop windows from restoring when you open applications (so for example when you open Safari it doesn't open the 50 tab page you just had open when you quit) go to SystemPreferences>General and then hit the checkbox that says Close windows when quitting an application. -

If emails are being deleted, then it's not the Apple products, it's the POP account. When one device reads an email, it's removed from the server, so the other devices can't get that same email. That's a POP account.

That means that you have the app on one of the external drives (maybe the Time Machine drive). Follow these steps:
1. Open Finder and select "Applications" in the sidebar.
2. Open Time Machine app and navigate through your backups, until you find the app you have hidden.
3. Right-click it, and select the option to remove it from all your backups.

Hazel, is a prefPane so you must have some rule (or it supplied the rule as a default) to put pictures (jpg's) from your Desktop (folder) into your Pictures folder.
Open your System Preferences and Hazel in there and either turn off Hazel or change or delete the appropriate rule covering this situation. -

I share an Itunes account with my family, but we all have separate itunes on different laptops. Evertime anyone downloads a ton of apps or music I dont like, it automatically downloads onto my itunes the next time i open it up. Although i could just pause the downloads and delete them all, they all come back and start downloading again the next time i open up itunes. I only want my music and my apps, how can i stop this!?

I subscribed to star maker last aug 26 and it should only be good for a week. Today i received an email stating that I was charged again for the automatic renewal. It never stated that it will be renewed automatically during my initial subscription. I would greatly appreciate if someone can help me to cancel the subscription.

Verizon moderators watch the forums and will escalate issues to the elite support team for issues that appear to need such help. Your issue may be escalated, or it may not. if it is escalated, be sure to come back here to read what they post and then follow their instructions.
II'm not aware of any official process Verizon has to file complaints. They are setup to have customer service reps resolve issues. If you just want to rant, consider that done. If you want Verizon to fix your issue, keep working with them, especially if they escalate your issue. You can also file complaints with the appropriate regulatory authorities, if you think that Verizon isn't following government regulation.

I purchase songs and convert them to mp3 and then delete AAC files so as to not have duplicates which I've done for years since the new update the iphone automatically transfers all the AAC files from the iphone thus creating duplicates I have tried deleting icloud turning off automatic downloads both on itunes and the iphone but everytime I sync my songs are doubled

I recently purchased a Creative Cloud subscription and downloaded the CS6 apps. Whenever I click a link to a tutorial or .pdf help file from any of myapps, MS Word automatically activates and attempts to open the file. Because of this, I cannot activate the tutorials. How do I correct this software conflict?

Before I shut down my computer, I quit all my open applications. This makes startup cleaner. But now, upon startup, Firefox 23 automatically opens...not Safari, not Mail, just new Firefox 23. This would seem to be the new default. Can I stop this behavior?
