Digital Editions can open files of .pdf , .epub and .acsm format.
When you click on a download link from an online bookstore, a .acsm file gets downloaded to the "Downloads" folder of your computer. You need to double click on this .acsm file(if Digital Editions is already installed) to get the book. If you still get a message saying that your computer doesn't have a way to open this file, please manually associate Digital Editions to the .acsm file type OR open Digital Editions and drag and drop the .acsm file onto Digital Editions.

Sometimes I need to connect my iPhone to iTunes to install apps or movies but I don't want to charge the battery ... as I know it is bad practice to charge the battery if not empty of very low. so is there any way to stop charging from pc ??

This is false. With lithium-based batteries like the one in the iPhone, there is no need to run the battery down before charging it (in fact, that's not the best thing for the battery - they 'like' frequent, light use). You are (incorrectly) applying advice for an older battery chemistry (nickel-based).

Battery stopped charging; won't run from battery

A couple of days ago, my computer stopped running from battery, and stopped charging the battery. I can see that the level is 67%, but that never goes up, and it shuts down if I unplug the power adapter.

Anyone know how I can fix this?

I have the same issue with my Powerbook G4 15" Aluminum (battery not charging and clock not retaining date and time). A 3rd party warranty company is trying to say it's the rechargable battery but I think it's something to do wit hthe small battery located on a daughter board on the motherboard. Can anyone verify this or does this sound like a totally different issue?
The battery was replaced under the recall less than a year ago.

HT3702 Trying to retrieve money back to my account from a app that said it my swipe didn't go through the first time so i tried it again the second time and now im getting billed twice for that app call BADOO!

I wanted to know about getting charged on my account of 12.80 9/14/2012 Badoo app. When purchasing the app i purchased it twice on accident due to the fact the first time i did it the app didn't allow me to saying it was some type of error. BUT i got charged twice even though i didn't allow me to purchase the app the first time around. It showed up on my bill as being charged twice then later credited the 12.80 back to my account for the time it didn't go through. I recently been charged for that app like earlier started 9/14/12. I do not want no month to month renewal or contract with Badoo. All i want is my 12.80 credited back to my account.

I'm looking for others with unauthorized charges from CA (866) 712-7753 made to their Apple accounts.

Yup - same thing here... charges came through as pending early AM on 26-November, 2013 ... one for $17.89 then a second one for $16.90. I Google'd the phone number and a bunch of other threads come up from as early as 2008 from other people claiming they were also scammed by someone using the same description. However, others have been scammed for a far greater amount.
This is a SCAM - it is NOT iTUNES! One commonality I have noticed among all the threads I've read is that everyone who has been scammed by this "merchant" has made 1 or more actual legit iTunes purchase, so it must be someone hacking the iTunes payment system... perhaps someone at Apple can get on this??? Your customers would certainly appreciate a safer and more secure marketplace.
In the meantime, to everyone who has already been scammed, I would strongly suggest cancelling the card this transaction showed up on and have your bank issue a new card number along with dispute the charge(s) that were made to your account from that "merchant" ... the "merchant" is not real but rather, they're very successful (i.e they have been doing this for a long time without detection) with a slightly more developed scam process than the average Joe-scammer (i.e phone lines with Apple sounding operators, etc.).
Long story short - cancel your card(s) ASAP ... and HEY APPLE, do something about this, would you?

I got 4 fraudulant charges from apple itunes and where can I go to speak to someone or reverse these charges immediately?
I already reported it to my credit card company and called Apple Itunes which tells me to come here to the website, then hangs up on me.

I have an account which has been on vacation (suspended). I now live in Panama Central America. Verizon has been charging me monthly when I have not had services. My last charge was 93.02 and was charged to my credit card. This has to stop. Panama Central America sounds awesome! I know how important it is for your account charges to be accurate. We offer the option to suspend your services and still be billed for your monthly service charges or you can suspended the services without billing and the contract will be extended by the amount of time the line was suspended without billing. How do i stop my different itunes accounts from getting the sharing the same songs

My mum and i both have ipods and different itunes accounts, but every time she buys a song in her account i will log into my acount to find that it is in my libray aswell, so when i plug my ipod in it wants to download hthat new song onto my ipod. Is there anyway to completely disconnect the accounts from each other?
PS we both own ipod nano 5th gen (the ones with the video cameras) and we have the newest version of itunes on our computer that we share.

Sorry, I neglected to tell you I build the webhelp using
robohelp for word. I have tried both the options on the dialog box
to jump to display in winhelp or display in browser, but neither
work. I update the webhelp at least twice a week, so tweaking the
html output page is not an option. Another option I tried was to
add the link directly into the toc as a new page - same result
(also tried both display in winhelp or in browser). As soon as I
hit the site, my help system is replaced by the suncountry.com
site.
For the aa.com site, the first page of aa.com displays in the
right frame of webhelp. After that any link I choose in the toc
displays in a new browser window. I have found that if I use the
back button on the original browser window so I am off the aa.com
site, then click refresh, my pages appear correctly in the right
frame. This is not user friendly.
Any other ideas?

Stops charging

Hp g61 stops charging after 5 mins from bootup it used to stop charging maybe after 2 hours but idk why ot has gotten this short i need help. First i thought it was the charger but now i domt know

As the old joke goes, if it hurts when you move your arm a certain way, don't move it that way :-)
Seriusly, you need to replace your cable or wall charger. To narrow down which is the culprit, try another cable with the wall charger, then another wall charger with the current cable. It is also possible it's the plug on your iPhone. Did you inspect it for obvious damage or accumulated dirt?
