HT3702 My 10 year old has spent £721.77 on my iTunes account in the past week. HELP!!!!

I have just found out my 10 year old has spent £721.77 on my iTunes account in the last 6 days. My bank can't help me and there is no one available from Apple to help me at all. What on earth am I going to do? Am in tears here. I am a single mother and my rent is due at the end of this week!!!!

You've tried contacting iTunes Support ? Purchases are considered final, but you can try contacting them via this page and see what they say : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page.
If the purchases were done on an iOS device, then to try and stop it happening again you can use Settings > General > Restrictions on it to turn off in-app purchases, and to require your password to be entered for every download (the default is a 15 minute period during which it doesn't need re-entering). You can also hide the App Store ('Installing Apps' set 'off') and the iTunes store app via the Restrictions screen.

My daughter has shared my iTunes account for the past 10 years. Now that she has established her own iTunes account, how can she transfer content from my account to her new account?

    Hi Dennis,
If you want to share iTunes purchases between multiple accounts in the same family you could use Family Sharing.

    There are no refunds.
You can try contacting itunes support or it may be better to contact the make of the game.
Itunes support has no phone number.  Click "support" at the top of this page, then click the linke under "Contact Us" if you wish to contact them.

  • I want to setup my 9 year old for family sharing and seperate iTunes account but do not have credit cards

I am unable to setup a new iTunes account / family sharing for my 9 year old as I do not have credit cards, it seems that it is only possible to do so with a credit card, however I feel it is unfair that I would need to apply for a credit card just so that my child can be safe online

    Changing payment info : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1918
Or if you haven't created the account yet then there are instructions on this page for how to create one without giving credit card details : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534 (e.g. https://discussions.apple.com/message/24321860#24321860)

  • Hello my ipod touch 4g has recently started needing restoring a lot in the past week i have restored it 3 times. But my ipod only needs restoring or says it does when i connect to my computer to charge it but when i unplug it everything works. Help please

    Question says it all thanks.

    - Restore to factory defaults/new iPod if you have not already tried that. If you still have the problem after that then it is very likely you have a hardware problem an an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
    - Or maybe there is a problem with your cable or USB port/computer. Wehn you get the error again I would see if you have the same problem/error message with another cable and computer.

  • I have over 3000 tunes on my itunes account, can i share these with my husband - he has never set up an itunes account

    Thanks for your help.

The second link in ingo's response is key.  If you husband syncs his device on the same computer, whether under the same apple I'd or not, you can share music( each pick their own based on what they want to carry around) and pictures, and apps.
Updating apps can get tricky, as they will only update to the original apple id that bought them.  But music is fine.
You may need to authorize the new computer if he will be using a seperate apple id.  And make sure you don't just sync everything, or one device or the other will get wiped.  If you want to sync only music, they'll that to I tunes in the tab setting for that device.

Just realised my 7 year old has been using my apple id. God knows how he remembered it. He has spent a lot of money. Has any one experience of this? Am i able to get a refund?

    Maybe. You can ask:
Apple - Support - iTunes - Contact Us
iTunes says all sales are final but they may make an exception

    Hi..
May not be just the security code >  iTunes Store: My credit card's security code or zip code does not match my bank's records

  • My 2 year old has deleted my 'apps store' icon and I cannot figure out how to get it back? Doesn't seem to be available in the on-line apps store, ironically enough

My 2 year old has deleted my 'apps store' icon and I cannot figure out how to get it back? Doesn't seem to be available in the on-line apps store, ironically enough

He dragged the icon out of the dock at the bottom and disappeared. That icon is merely a "shortcut" that opens the application when you click on it.
You still have the app. Open your applications folder and look for the App Store app icon. Click and hold down on the App Store icon and drag the icon down into the dock to replace it. That puts the shortcut back into the dock.

Yes, he does have agile fingers and they are everywhere! I managed to find a solution to the problem by going to the Language section and resetting to black on white...
All bets and thanks for the response

Yes, it has been running slow.  If I do that will it erase what is stored on the hard drive?
    Thanks,
    Anne
Tom wants you to run Disk Utility from the install disc and then select your boot volume and then click "Repair Disk" to check and correct any directory problems.  That will not erase any data files on the disc.  If Disk Utility actually makes repairs, do another "Repair Disk" operation, as sometimes one repair will uncover another error.  Stop when it gives the volume a clean bill of health without making any repairs.  Then restart the machine and see how things work.

  • HT1351 I have an IPOD that has not been synced to Itunes for several years. I no longer have the same computer or e-mail address.  How can I sync my old IPOD material to my new itunes account?

I have an older IPOD that has not been synced to Itunes for seceral yeras. I no longer have the same computer or e-mail address. How can I sync my old IPOD material to my new Itunes account?

Your email address (used as your Apple ID) does not matter, because iPods are not directly linked to a particular Apple ID.
NOTE:  You can still use your old Apple ID, even if your that email address is no longer valid.  As long as you remember your Apple ID password.  Go here and click on Manage your Apple ID.
    https://appleid.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MyAppleId.woa/
You can change the primary email address used by Apple, although the Apple ID remains the same.
Back to the iPod.  iTunes syncing is generally in one direction only, from the computer's iTunes library to the iPod.  You cannot use iTunes to transfer song files from iPod to computer, except for songs purchased from the iTunes Store.  However, there are third-party methods and utilities that can transfer from iPod to computer.  If you do an Internet search on something like "ipod transfer," you should get some links.  (The CNET article seems to be popular.)
Once the song files are on your computer's drive, you can add them to your new iTunes library.  After confirming everything is there, sync your iPod to that library.  If there is any content purchased from the iTunes Store that uses DRM (copy protection), such as audiobooks, videos, and very old song purchases, iTunes may prompt you to authorize your computer with your Apple ID (the one you used to make the purchases).

  • Question why has my balance on my itune account have totally disappeared when I have only been using it for less than a year? had still fair bit of money in it too. around $60

Question why has my balance on my itune account have totally disappeared when I have only been using it for less than a year? had still fair bit of money in it too. around $60

First, make sure you're logged into the iTunes Store using the account ID and password you set up, or used, when you redeemed your card/gift.  If you are, try signing out of the account and back in.
If you're sure you are using the correct account and that you're signing in to the iTunes Store, and signing out and back in doesn't help, go to the Purchase History and review your purchases to make sure that you should indeed have a balance left. iTunes doesn't always refresh the balance it shows, so it's possible you spent the money and it just wasn't being reflected in the display. This display error can usually be corrected by logging out of the iTunes Store and then back in.
If you confirm that you should have balance left but the iTunes Store isn't showing it correctly, send a message to the iTunes Store customer service department through the contact form you'll find by selecting the most applicable section of their Support page (select the Contact Support link and follow the instructions) and explain the problem to them.
    Good luck.
