I work for a University. We've purchased a few copies of Adobe Acrobat Pro XI boxed software. It's been working great all along. Now, it won't work at all. Error as follows:
"The serial number you entered has expired.This product cannot be licensed. Please contact Customer Support. Provide a serial number."You need to do what it says... contact Adobe Customer Support. We can't help for two reasons (a) we are not Adobe staff (b) even if we were, we can't examine private serial numbers in a public forum.
When you contact them, best to have all the paperwork from the original purchase in case there are difficulties with a supplier etc. -

good lord do i hate itunes. i'm just trying to buy a gift certificate that i can print and 3 freaking hours later it's just not going to happen. First i had to install itunes on my parents computer, but no where does it say that's necessary. Then once that's finally done and i sign for an itunes account it says my apple ID is not eligibale. you have got to be kidding me? now, if i try to change the payment option, even to 'none' i'm told i have to contact customer support for the change to be accepted? i can't even remove a credit card!?!!!?!? how the **** can that be? and of course the customer support line isn't open for the holidays. my god, i hate itunes. i hate apple. and suddenly i hate christmas. they suck, suck, suck, suck, suck, suck, suck, suck.
how difficult is it to let me give them money and they send me a code that i can give to someone else to redeem for money? any freaking mom n' pop online store could do that.

Changed battery in laptop and now when trying to open dreamweaver cs3, I get "licensing for this product has stopped working"... contact customer support (thats a laugh). So what now?
it says: You cannot use this product at this time. You must repair the problem by uninstalling and then reinstalling this product or contacting your IT admin or Adobe customer support for help.
Well it seems I am only able to install this on a maximum of 3 computers so if I uninstall and reinstall I may have used up all three. What caused this in the first place?And most licenses extend to 2 machines; not 3. Your computer's clock probably reset when you changed batteries. Is your computer's clock set to the correct date and time now?

I did an auto software update on my iMac, which included a restart. When the machine restarted it's stuck with an Apple logo and spinning wheel. I've tried all of the key strokes that are supposed to work, but nothing has. Any suggestions?
Gray screen could be any number of things, bad third party at boot kext file, a bad Apple one, a bad install/upgrade of OS X, drive corruption etc.

Signal strength on device won't account for issues, you would need a network report from istumbler, netstumbler or similar. This will show accurate signal strength along with noise and nearby networks -
I unplugged my iPod Classic without ejecting it first. It played for many hours(about 8) after that but then suddenly stopped working and it has a blackend screen that seems to say paused. Wondering if there is a way to get it to work again.

Do you have gfxCardStatus installed? Is your monitor set to "Integrated" or "Discrete". You want it set to Discrete to drive the external HDMI display.

Are you sure you have a good miniDisplayPort to HDMI cable?
Do you have another HDMI display you can test against (your neighbor's HDMI capable TV).
Do you have friend that can test the cable using their Mac and maybe their TV or a monitor that has HDMI input. -

The reset link will only show if you have a rescue email address on your account (an alternate email address is different). If you don't have one (you won't be able to add one until you can answer your questions) then you will have to contact Support in your country to get the questions reset.
How are you trying to contact Support ? You should be able to do so via the following :

My iMessage doesn't work on my iPad. My software is up to date, wifi is working, apple ID is working but the verification stops and goes back to sign on. Why does this happen?
Look at no. 5 in this text which was copied from Apple's support site for troubleshooting Messages and FaceTime activation.
Troubleshooting Apple ID activation
After each step, toggle iMessage and FaceTime off and then on again in Settings > Messages and Settings > FaceTime.
Update to the latest version of iOS.
Ensure that you have an active Internet connection. You can complete activation using Wi-Fi or a cellular data connection. Check your Wi-Fi network using standard Wi-Fi network troubleshooting.
If you receive an error when signing in to your Apple ID, visit myinfo.apple.com, sign in to your account, and ensure that the primary email address has been verified.
Ensure that FaceTime has not been restricted: Settings > General > Restrictions > FaceTime.
In Settings > General > Date & Time, ensure that Set Automatically is on. If Set Automatically is on, but the incorrect time zone is displayed, turn Set Automatically off and then choose the correct time zone, date, and time. Then turn Set Automatically on again.
Enable iMessage and FaceTime while connected to another Wi-Fi network in a different location.

On the older version of the AE you can still use older airport utility.
But once you load the new one you cannot easily go back.. you can load an older 5.6 version though.. instructions below.
For 6.3 you need to run ipv6 local link.

1. Download 5.6 for Lion.

Click to open the dmg but do not attempt to install the pkg.. it won't work anyway.
Leave the package open on the desktop so you can see the file. AirportUtility56.pkg
2. Download and install unpkg.

Run unpkg on the desktop.. If your Mac refuses to run the software, because it wasn’t downloaded from the Apple store, go to security in preferences and allow other software to work.. this is limitation of trade methinks. You can set back later if you like.
Now drag the AirPortUtility56.pkg file over to unpkg.. and it will create a new directory of the same name on the desktop.. in finder, open the new directory, drill down.. applications, utilities .. there lo and behold is Airport utility 5.6 .. drag it to your main utilities directory or just run it from current location.
You cannot uninstall version 6 (now 6.3 if you updated) so don't try.. and you cannot or should not run them both at the same time.. although I have had no problems when doing so.
