HT3702 unwanted charge to my apple account

Apple I-tunes removed 239.00 from my checking account.  This was not to be taken out.  What do I do to get my money refunded

You've checked the purchase history on your account (Store > View My Account, Store > View My Apple ID on iTunes 11, menu option on your computer's iTunes), and have you made any in-app purchases or have any auto-renewing subscriptions ?  If not then you can contact iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

  • HT3702 who can i contact in order to dispute charges to my apple account?

who can I contact in order to dispute charges to my apple account? I have been charged for applications that have not downloded.

    Hi,
You should contact iTunes Store support and they will be able to help you.
    Hope this helps.

  • HT2589 I need to review my charges on my apple account.  There are always charging for small amounts that aren't mine.

How do I view the transactions on my apple account.  I continuously get charges on my debit card that I do not make.

You can view the purchase history on your acount via your computer's iTunes : if you log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option, you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it. Click on that and you should then see a list of your purchases.
If there are charges on you that don't recognise, and nobody else has access to your account or devices and may have made them, then you can try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

  • I have a charge on my bank account from Apple iTunes but I have not purchased anything in over a month!

Earlier today I imputed my new CC information into my iTunes account so that I could update some previous apps that I had purchased. Apparently due to my previous CC Information having expired I was not able to update my previous purchases (why is that)? Also, I noticed a charge on my account from Apple iTunes but I have not make any recent purchases and I have not received any email receipts stating otherwise. Obviously I will have to cancel my debit card to prevent any further fraudulent charges. Who should I notify at Apple about this to prevent any further criminal activity against myself or others?

You've checked the purchase history on your account via the Store > View Account menu option on your computer's iTunes, and have you got any auto-renewing subscriptions ?
If the charge is on your newly entered card, then each time that you add or change your credit card details on your account then a small temporary store holding charge may be applied to check that the card details are correct and valid and that it's registered to exactly the same name and address as on your iTunes account - it should disappear off your account within a few days or so.

If it's a different charge which you don't think that you should have then you can contact iTunes Support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

  • Why am i charged twice from both my apple account and my credit card each time i make a purchase?

Why Apple is deducting money two times from both my apple account and my credit card each time i make a purchase?

    Hey shawnilory,
Thanks for the question. The duplicate charges you see may actually be authorization holds. To review the actual charges on your account, you can see your iTunes Purchase history as outlined by this resource:
iTunes Store & Mac App Store: About payment card authorization holds
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3702
To review the actual charges on your account, see your iTunes Purchase History. You will be asked to enter your iTunes account name and password. (You can only see Mac App Store web order details in your iTunes purchase history.) Your Purchase History will display your most recent purchases first. To view details of any purchase, click the arrow to the left of the order date.
If you have questions about the way your financial institution handles authorization requests, contact their customer service department.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

  • Does apple charge me for linking my credit card to my apple account?

Hello, I tried to link my prepaid credit card to my apple id but it didnt linked since my credit card is from other country. But when I checked my credit card balance it got deducted. what should i do?

The charge is temporary. Each time that you add/change card detailsa small temporary store holding charge may be applied to check that the card details are correct and valid and that it's registered to exactly the same name and address as on your iTunes account - your card issuer should remove within a few days or so.
    Store holding charge : http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT3702
As pre-paid cards aren't registered to an address then they will fail the validation. And you can't use a card issued by another country's bank.

I have two Apple accounts the one on my I phone and computer are the same the one on my mini i pad is different I have credit on my mini i pad however, when I purchase an App or movie I am charged on my credit card and the $40:00 worth of I Tune cards is by passed I have tried to change the mini i pad account details to be the same as my computer and original apple i.d.account however, it will not allow me to do I have tried to reset the mini  i pad but not all the way to factory otherwise I would loose all my data. I have visited a genuis bench at Fountain gate however, they tell me I need to ring apple support which I will do on the next working day.

You are going to need to change the email address you use with your old ID. Once you have got access to your old account you will then log into both accounts at the same time on your Mac and transfer your data to a single account. We can do this later, but need you to get access to your old account first.

  • I have an iPod touch and an iPad on the same apple account.  If I purchase the same album on both devices without syncing will I be charged twice?

I have an iPod touch and an iPad on the same apple account.  If I purchase the same album on both devices without syncing to my computer will I be charged twice?

Yes. You're supposed to move it to the second device from the computer and not redownload it from the iTunes Store.

  • HT3702 what is the registration charge for an apple id?

what is the registration charge for an apple id?

There is no charge for creating an Apple/iTunes account. If you add or change a credit card on your account then you might get a small temporary holding charge on it (which is to check that the card is valid and active), but that will disappear off the card within a few days.

Why if I have money in my apple account, having redeemed a voucher, does my iPad still try to charge my bank account for the music I am trying to purchase?

    Hi backpacker1952,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
If you already have an iTunes Gift balance on your account, you can browse and buy music like you would if you were paying with a credit card. You may find the information in this article helpful:
How to browse and buy content from the iTunes Store
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1879
This article explains how to view your current balance in iTunes:
    iTunes Store: iTunes Gift balances
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5035
You use the Redeem link when you want to redeem an iTunes Gift (like an app someone purchased for you) or add an additional iTunes Gift Card to your account. See this article for more information:
