HT3819 iOS devices will not sync Photo stream

I have 1,000+ photos in photostream on my iphone 5s; of those only 629 appear in photostream on my ipad4 and only 50 show in our newly acquired Appletv. All iOS devices are connected to the same home wifi. What's going on? Is there anyway to force all three devices to sync all the photos? Sometimes I've read it may take a day or two, but in this case it has been over 2 weeks. Much appreciated!

Apple TV is accessing the most up to date stream, which only has photos from the past 30 days.

  • My iPad will not sync photo stream from iPhone

My iPad ios7 will not sync my photo stream. It only received 1/4 of my photos. My iPhone ios6 has the correct photo stream. Tried Turing off photo stream on iPad, afraid to turn off photo stream on iPhone as I may lose data. I know the photo stream limit is 1000 so I keep it at 900. iPad is fully updated. iPhone all apps are fully updated. Same Apple ID is signed in across 2 devices for iCloud. Both are backed up on same wifi. Loading iTunes just to back up photo stream seems silly but maybe forced to.     Thank you.

How long are My Photo Stream photos stored in iCloud?
The photos you upload to My Photo Stream are stored in iCloud for 30 days to give your devices plenty of time to connect and download them.

  • IOS 4 will not sync Photos

I plug in my iPod touch and it will backup and sync everything just fine until it reaches the end where it will usually ad photos from my iPhoto library and this window comes up and no photos are on my iPod except the ones in the Saved Photos album.
    Anyone else have this problem?

Sorry, I used this post a lot... but i think it solves the problem.
Ok, i got my iOS 4 to install finally, after 2 restarts (Microsoft updates... idk if that did it) and a whole lot of try try again, I found something though, that might have did it.
When you are restoring, all the other tabs (Apps, Music, Movies, Podcasts.... Contacts) in iTunes, those for some reason get unchecked, so the restore is trying to add all the apps back and other media/information; while iTunes sync options are not selected. Basically, i think what is happening is, the restore says install, but iTunes sees the "not selected to be synced"-no install, the two contradict the other, so you wind up with useless app icons, and no music/multimedia.
How I solved it, was I stopped the restore, told it I wanted to start anew ipod, then reselected that I wanted to sync Music, Apps, etc. to my ipod, then, apply- but I either stopped it, or let it fail, then I went back to my restore button, and re-uploaded it from were it was last backed up. Now I have a fully functioning iPod Touch os 4, and i think all my apps but 2 (may need to uninstall, then reinstall, or just wait for the updates for these to make them compatible), and i have all my old media, info, and app data back. Hope this helped... I also my just have had sheer luck with this as well. Good luck though.

  • ITunes will not sync Photos with iPad

iTunes 11.1.5 will not sync photos from iPhoto 9.5.1 to an iPad running IOS 7.1.1....
The sync will not complete it just spins forever on 'importing photos'....  I have always selected Sync photos from 'iPhoto' and 'Selected albus,s, Events and Faces....   I typically only sync around 20 photos between the two but now iTunes will not add photos to the iPad nor delete photos from the iPad....
Since these photos were added with iTunes I can not manually delete them from the iPad....
If I deselect 'Sync Photo from iPhoto' the sync will complete but the photos are not deleted from the iPad....
I suspect that iTunes may be looking for a previous release of iPhoto (since the photo library was 'upgraded' to iPhoto 9.5.1 so it just seems logical that iTunes may not be recognizing the new and improved iPhoto library??
    Any suggestions will be appreciated.

    The photos won't get lost.
You don't sync photos to the computer using iTunes.
Import them to the computer like you would with any camera.
Then delete them from the iPad and re-add them using iTunes. This gets them out of the camera roll.

Select you device from the left sidebar of iTunes and navigate to the Photos tab at the top. Do you have the Sync Photos With checkbox checked and set to iPhoto?

  • Iphoto will not enable photo stream

My iPhoto will not enable Photo Stream.  All software is up to date and I have the latest version of iPhoto, in fact Photo Stream was working last week on my Mac.  Now all I get is the msg "iPhoto cannot enable Photo Stream".  Any thoughts ??

Hey dave2468, as you can tell by my original post, this problem surfaced several months ago and out of frustration for lack of an answer to the problem - I called Apple for support.  I was fully prepared to spend the $50 bucks to resolve this issue but fortunately didn't have to.  My problem did get resolved after about 1 &1/2 hours on the phone and the solution revolved around resetting my password for my account...can't tell you why other than ghost in the machine issue.  Yours may be different issue but wanted to let you know how this ultimately got resolved.  I have had no further issues relative to this problem since my phone consultation.  Best of luck - I know how frustrating these things can be. • Itunes v12.1 itunes will not sync photos from photoshop 12

Since I downloaded itunes v12.1, itunes will not sync photos from Photoshop 12 to my iphone 5, 6+ and older Apple TV (with hard Drive). Prior to the itunes software update, all was well.  itunes indicates "0" photos available from Photoshop when there are over 7,000 photos on my desktop. I tried uninstalling itunes and reinstalling - no success. Perhaps itunes v13 may fix the problem, meanwhile , any suggestions.

I link to it in th epost above yours.

    Scroll down to;
Then click Mac, or whatever one is applicible to you.
Be warned though. After synced, successfully, with iTunes 11.1, i ended up with over 10GB's of 'Other' data on my iphone. I had to do a factory reset (From iTunes/iPhone/Summary). It's been a pain in the ***, but it all seems fine now. But it has taken me hours. An di now have a headache.
Also, a factory reset will remove ALL your data, and i mean EVERYTHING! You've spend the rest of the day putting everything back the way you like it, and setting up all your setting again.

  • ITunes will not sync photos

iTunes will not sync photos no matter what I try:
    * deleting photo cache folder
    * removing apps to free more space on iPod (120MB free)
I've tried many of the suggested remedies on this list, all to no avail.
I've noticed that during sync, when it reaches the "Syncing Photos" step, the progress bar stops spinning … hmmm?
When finished, I launch the Photos App on the iPod … it indicates that it is updating the library, but when it is done … voila … NO PHOTOS!
    Anyone have any other suggestions?

    Me Too.
I have just updated the ipod touch software to 4.1. The update seems to have helped improve the very sluggish performance introduced with 4.0 but now photos just won't sync.
These are the same photos that are on the ipod Touch from software 4.0. The other sync items seems to have worked.
The sync gets stuck with either "Finishing sync" and barber-pole scroll or Syncing photos 4 of 4.
Unchecking the "Sync photos" Allows the sync to complete.
The "Remove photos/Keep photos" option appears when changing the "Sync photos" option. Keeping the photos leaves the previously installed images on the IPT. Using a PowerMac G5.

  • For those of you with a Windows computer and the iOS device is not syncing or showing up in iTunes. here is a known solution that has been working for tech support!

I know this seems to be an emerging issue ever since the update to iTunes 11.1.4, some iPhones or other iOS devices are not showing up in iTunes or syncing. I'm not sure if Apple really knowns of this issue, but tech support has a (mostly) sure fire way of resolcing this issue. It's only for Windows computers though.
Go to the article http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1538 and follow the Section 5 Verify Apple Mobile Device USB driver is installed. When you clik on that section, go to your version of Windows (it seems to be happening mostly across Windows 8) . And then to the section: If Apple iPod, Aple iPhone, or Apple iPad is listed.
The gist of what you need to do:
Windows 8 (since it seems to be the most affected) move your cursor to the upper ight corner of your screen) and click on the Magnifying glass. Type in devmgmt.msc and this should bring up the Device Manager. Onc eyou are in the device manager, look for the "Portable device" or "Universial Serial bus Controller" list, and you should see the "Apple iPhone/iPad/iPod" listed. Onc eyou see it, right click it, choose "Update software driver." Now, IT WILL SAY THE DRIVER IS UPDATED. I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH. Select "Browse my computer for driver software." Onc eyou choose that, select "Let me pick from a lsit of drivers on my computer." You should see the option "Have Disk." Choose that. Again, I KNOW you do not have a physical disk, but the file we need is already on your computer. After Hard Disk, choose Browse again. Follow this file path to the file we need: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers.. In the Driver's folder, you should see the "usbaaple" or "usbappl64" (if you have the 64 bit for Windows). Double click on that file, and hit OK. The file should install, and once it's finished check your iTunes!!! You may want to unplug your device and plug it back it before doing all of this. I REALLY hope this works for you all as well!

How can I change my file extension from m4p to something else? I have had no success being able to play or burn my purchased music. I keep getting error 2122. If I can change the format I should be able to move it to another player or at least burn it in Nero. Thanks.

  • Itunes will not sync photos - itl file corrupt

    Hello All,
I recently upgraded to Windows 7 from XP.  The XP install had my drive partitioned and my itunes data was on the E drive.  Now with Windows 7 I have one partition (C) and I was able to restore everything from Itunes to the new drive.  All is well accept my photos which will not sync.  I renamed the itl file and let it create a new one and my photos will sync.  If I go back to the original itl file the photos stay there as long as I don't uncheck the syncphotos box.  I need to go back to my old itl so that my music libraries are correct - including album art, etc.  I don't know why this happened or if there is a way to get the itl file back to where it should be.  If I did not have so much music I would just use the itl file and recreate my music library.  I did see an article talking about moving the xml file to the desktop and deleting the itl file then restoring from the xml.  I am just afraid that my xml file has been updated so much since I had this issue start that it will not be correct.  Does the xml file only keep info on the music or is it a repository for all itunes data?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Rob

  • Will not sync photos

Hi, I can not sync photos beyond a few, error message says insufficient memory but there is >12G memory for<1G photos

    Elizabeth-
I assume you have photos on your computer, and want to transfer them to the iPad using iTunes.  There could be a problem with iTunes not getting along with your computer.  Perhaps un-installing and re-installing iTunes would help.
Sometimes it is hard to tell which memory an error messages is referring to. On the iPad, there are two categories of memory.  The 12G is equivalent to hard drive storage space on the computer.  A small portion of it may be reserved as RAM for the iPad CPU's use in computation.
To free-up RAM, double-click the iPad's Home button.  A row of recent Apps will appear across the bottom of the screen.  Press and hold on one until it starts to wiggle.  A red minus sign should appear on each.  Touch the minus sign to stop each App.  This may not help, but won't hurt.
Another thing that won't hurt to try, is to reboot the iPad's CPU.  Hold both the Home and Sleep buttons for several seconds until the Apple logo appears.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" arrow.  After the iPad restarts, see if there is any improvement.

  • 3GS on iOS 6 will not sync most of music via cable

I upgraded my 3GS to iOS 6, and most of my music will not sync via cable.  I can check it all in iTunes, but the space allocation bar in iTunes does not change (on iOS5 I only had 1G free, now I have 8 G free), but only about 1/4 shows up on the phone.  I did  full restore--no change.  I checked  fill free space with songs--no change.  Help!  It might be that only music bought from iTunes is syncing and music I ripped myself or bought from Amazon is not syncing--i.e. my enire pre-iphone collection.

Ok solved my own problem--but this is squirrely.  In itunes, at the bottom of the "Summary" tab for your phone, is an "Options" section.  For some reason, having  "Sync only checked songs and videos" checked here only allowed 47 of 1900 songs to sync--even if they were checked on the music tab.  Unchecking this box and managing music from the music tab alone fixed the issue.
