Nope - although typically Nikon RAW is supported fairly quickly - what version of iPhoto and of the OS do you have?

CS6 - Camera Raw 7.1 won't open Nikon D7100 RAW files anymore

I have a Toshiba laptop with Windows 7 installed on it.
I use CS6 and a few days ago, I started having trouble when loading files (JPEG & RAW files via Camera Raw). If I loaded more than two or three files, it would crash Photoshop. I tried loading JPEG directly into Photoshop, and it would still crash after 2 minutes. I tried restarting PS, reset my settings to default, restart my PC, and still the problem persisted. I checked the RAM and scratch disks, etc, there was no change with it. I decided I would reinstalled CS6. I did and now Photoshop works perfectly. I can even load JPEG via Camera Raw and it works without crashing. But then, my RAW files won't load via Camera Raw. I have the latest one from what I saw on Adobe's website - Version 7.1.0.354. Others listed are DNG converter but I don't need that.
The RAW files I am trying to open are from a Nikon D7100 camera and before, those same files would open with Camera Raw 7.1.
Can someone please help me out on this. I am a bit desesperate cause I urgently need to edit files on Camera Raw because all my settings are saved on this.

Update to ACR 8.6 for CS6 ASAP.
Going through the Help menu in Photoshop CS6 (Help > Updates) will/should update you automatically. If for some reason,the auto updater fails, here's the link to the ACR 8.6 manual install:

One should never be using anything but the latest version of Adobe Camera Raw (ACR).
Even if you were using a camera supported by your obsolete version, you are leaving a lot of image quality on the table now. The rendering of the more recent versions of ACR is demonstrably superior, starting with 7.4.
It is a shame to be using a decent camera—even if it's not a top of the line Nikon—and be in effect trashing some of its image quality. Really.

Nikon D7100 required minimum Adobe Camera Raw 7.4 in order to import and PSE9 support ACR 6.1 to 6.5.

This is not the Photoshop forum, it is the Camera Raw forum. Your camera requires Camera Raw 7.4 or later. I don't know what versions of Camera Raw will work with Photoshop Elements 11. In Elements, you could try Help/update to see if that will automatically update you to the most current version available. Alternatively, you could try using the latest DNG converter with your raw files. But to upgrade to Photoshop Elements 12 just go to the Adobe product website and purchase an upgrade. You can download it and install. Adobe will e-mail you a serial number. Since you are purchasing an upgrade, the installation will look for your previous version and validate the serial number. It's a simple process to upgrade.

Lightroom 4.4 doesn´t recognize Nikon D7100 Raw files

I installed the new 4.4. update on my OS X. I thought it should have fixed the problem with the raw files of my new D7100. But it doesn´t seem to work. Lightroom still can´t import the raw files (NEF) from D7100. "The files are not recognized by the raw format support in Lightroom".
What should I do??

Did you use Nikon software to transfer the photos to your computer's hard disk? this has been known to interfere with Lightroom import.
If you still have the photos on the camera card(s), try importing those.

Nikon D7100 Raw files and Elements 12.....

I have just installed Photoshop Elements 12 (operating system is Windows 7). Downloaded all the available updates. Camera RAW is 8.4.0.199.
However, I am still unable to open RAW files from my Nikon D7100. I get a message saying "Could not complete your request because the file appears to be from a camera model which is not supported by the installed version of Camera Raw." However, I the online Camera Raw info says it should work. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling as suggested in the "help section".
Anybody got any ideas!? Thanks.

Nikon d7100 & Raw files

I have just purchased a Nikon d7100 only to find it isnt supported by my Elements 9. Following suggestions from the internet I have downloaded the trial version of Elements 11 plus ACR 7.4 dng converter unfortunately I am still unable to transfer Raw/NEF files from my camera, its accepts jpeg's though. Also I can open ACR with 7.1 version but I dont know how to use the 7.4 converter with it. Can anyone advise as I am becoming very frustrated! Can I use Silver Efex Pro 2 with trial version? If so, how?

Not necessarily. To make sure we are on the same page, are you talking about RAW (.nef) files? RAW files have an embedded JPG, and it is possible that View is using that. Are you able to zoom in without pixelisation? (The embedded JPG will be of a lowish resolution).

If CS6 go Photoshop > Help > About plugins > Camera RAW
We have to ask what might be considered patronising questions, so please don't be offended, but are you completely sure that the early files are not JPG and the latter ones NEF. Answer all these questions and we can take it from there.

I am running Aperture 3.2.4, under Mountain Lion 10.8.5 and in light of 'dumbing down' reports, have no wish to upgrade.

You may need to register the RAW support with the launch database again, if this only happened after an update:

Installed Adobe Elements last night and installed the Raw Converter 7.4. Everything worked fine yesterday. Today it will not open the raw files. Uninstalled and reinstalled, same problem!

Are these the same raw files or different ones?
If using Nikon Transfer or other Nikon software ensure you have installed the version for your camera model as older versions of Nikon software can corrupt the latest NEF’s.
Try testing by shooting a few new raw images and opening directly into Elements, without touching them.
Also check that ACR 7.4 is properly installed, from Expert Mode.
