  • Mircosoft wireless mouse problem in X220 with docking

    Hi,
I have an issue about X220 with docking.
When I un-dock the laptop for meeting, the Microsoft wireless mouse is working fine. However, when I finish the meeting and re-dock on the docking station, both the wireless mouse and keyboard is not working. I tried to unplug and plug in the wireless receiver but cannot solve the issue.
Since I have lots of meeting and this problem is really annoying me. Does anyone know how to solve this problem.
    Thanks.
    Ivan

    Hi, gogpop
For the issue with the wireless mouse, I would recommend uninstalling the UltraNav driver from Device Manager. The UltraNav driver, in my experience, can sometimes cause issues with the mouse. To uninstall the driver, open the Charms Bar from the right side of the screen and select Search. Type Device Manager into the search bar, then select Settings from underneath the search bar. Device Manager should now be visible on the left side of the screen. Select it. When in Device Manager, open the tree for Mice and other pointing devices. Right-click on ThinkPad UltraNav Pointing Device (if available) and select Properties. Select the Driver tab and then click on Uninstall... at the bottom. Follow the prompts to remove the driver and then restart the system. After the uninstallation of the UltraNav driver, Windows should install a generic driver, which may help your issue.
As added security and reliability, I would also recommend installing the base Synaptics driver from here. Synaptics is the same company that makes the UltraNav driver, but their base driver seems to have less issues, so it's definitely worth a shot.
As for the wireless issues, I would recommend navigating to Control Panel ► Programs and Features and uninstalling the Intel Management Engine Driver (if here.) This program is sometimes found on machines with Intel wireless cards and its removal can greatly help wireless issues.
Lastly, if you haven't already, I would also make sure that all drivers and BIOS are up to date, all of which can be found here.
    Hope it helps,
    Adam

  • Wired and wireless mouse problems...

Hey, looking for someone who can help me with a mouse connection problem I'm having with my G4 powerbook. Originally I was using a bluetooth wireless mouse and it would seemingly loose its connection. Example, I'm surfing Safari and I go to click a link with my mouse and then the cursor disappears up into the left corner. I have to move it around a bit before it gets its connection back. To test this I put the computer with hot corners to start expose. I would be surfing and BAM expose is activated.
Ok potentially crappy mouse. I plug in my USB mighty mouse and BAM, it does the same thing. I still have apple care on the laptop, but the nearest apple store is an hour away so I was hoping someone might be able to shed some light on this annoying problem.
    Anyone...?

I have the same issue. Left and Right buttons are programed as "primary" and "secondary" respectively, but any action on the mouse activates the right button drop down menu. I changed out my wireless mouse to the wired mouse, rebooted and changed USB ports but not change. My keyboard is not typing either?
Looking forward to some GURU type insights here....?

  • Wireless Mouse Problem - Losing its "connection"

Every couple minutes my wireless mouse loses its "connection".  Once the computer acknowledges the loss with the little message at the bottom of the screen, it quickly reestablishes the connection.  Since this started happening last week, the frequency of occurence has significantly increased; and when I'm using my mouse a lot, as with photo work, the disconnection rate reallly jumps.  And yes, the batteries were fresh last week!

Do both a SMC and PRAM reset, it may take 2-3 attempts of each.
    SMC RESET
    Shut down the computer.
Unplug the computer's power cord and all peripherals.
Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
    Release the power button.
    Attach the computers power cable.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
    PRAM RESET
    Shut down the computer.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
    Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
    Release the keys.

  • Wireless mouse problem

Having bought the new Magic Mouse for my Mac, I now want to use my older Wireless Mouse on a Windows XP machine, in fact an Eee Box. (XP SP2)
Can someone tell how, please - as so far I have been unable to make it work.
    Dan.

The wireless mouse appears to be "paired" on my XP system, but if I go to mouse properties/services, where it says ---
"The Bluetooth device offers the following services. To use a service, select
    the check box"
-- and click on "drivers for keyboard, mice, etc." -- I get a box headed
"Bluetooth Service Error - access is denied"
Why does this technology have to be so complicated to setvup ?

  • Wireless mouse problem mountain lion

I seem to be having a problem with my Magic Mouse after updating to 10.8.3. any one else having the same?

I´m having same issues, I´ve read numbers of threads in the forum where it´s suggested you reset PRAM, unpair-repair, reboot, removing extensions files. But nothing seems to work. I can move the cursor and simple click but none of the multitouch functions works.

Was the mouse connected to the other device recently? If so, it needs to be deleted from that device. BT devices may only be paired with one thing at a time.
    Reset the PRAM.

  • Sleep Problem - Microsoft Wireless Mouse

    Hi Folks!
I have a MBP Unibody, summer 2009, and I installed Snow Leopard last week.
My computer won't sleep unless I close the cover. I know what the problem is, it is apparently my Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse, which is plugged into my USB port. Removing the transmitter from the USB port solves the problem.
Anyone know how this problem can be fixed? I like my wireless mouse!
    WJD

I have a very similar problem. I have a 15" MBP March 2009. SL 10.6.1. I have a logitech Optical Mini Mouse, when I close the lid it trys to sleep, once the snoring or breathing led starts dimming, it wakes up and then trys to sleep again in a loop, an endless loop.
I installed the logitech driver 3.1 for OS X 10.6, and that did not help, it behaves the same with and without the driver.
removing the usb dongal solves the problem, and it sleeps just fine.
Also drop down lists in firefox flash quickly and are nearly unusable, but work perfectly once the dongal is removed.

  • Mac Wireless Mouse Connection Problem

My Mac wireless mouse and my MacBook Pro works very well. The problem is that every time I start my computer, I must always pair and connect through system preferences. It rarely automatically connects. Is this normal?

    Hello waben:
Probably not. However, try clicking the mouse several times. That usually causes mine to "find" the Mac.

  • Multiple Problems Involving my new laptop [Keyboard][wireless mouse][application issues]

My laptop only gives me the following information on the stickers:
    Lenovo G580
    Model NO: 20157
I received a laptop from my dad and the more I use it the more stuff i seem to run into.
The first problem i noticed was that two of my arrow keys would not work on my keyboard and I need those keys to play a couple of low-end games that i like.
Next i noticed that my wireless mouse would act weird when I attempted to use it. It would constantly double-click when i only clicked once and i have replaced the batteries multiple times. It only happens on this computer.
Another problem is that i have the desktop version of skype installed. Sometimes it crashes and refuses to close. I've tried task manager and the command line. When I use "taskkill /F /IM skype.exe" it tells me i do not have permission even when i launched command line as administrator.
After using Windows 8 for a few months,i really hate it. I absolutely cannot stand the new operating system. I gave it a try and if i have to live with it for much longer I will go insane.
I have tried to install Ubuntu but the disk refuses to load. Im sure it has something to do with secure boot, but the option to disable it is greyed out and im unable to change it.
Anyone who can help me with any of these issues would be awesome.

  • My wireless mouse for my iMac keeps loosing connection. Started after I was having problems with computor not waking up and I put the the setting to "never". Anyone having same problem?

My wireless mouse for imac keeps loosing connection. Started after I was having truoble with computor not waking up and I put the setting to "never sleep". Any suggestions?

If it's an Apple mouse, make it "Favorite" in Bluetooth preferences.
If it's not, the same thing might help, too, but if the problem continues it could be a driver issue (possible incompatibility with your OS X version).

  • Problem with wireless keyboard and wireless mouse

All of a sudden, after more than 6 mos., I am having problems with both the wireless keyboard and wireless mouse. I am getting a "connection lost" message on the screen with a picture of the keyboard. It only stays there a few seconds, disappears, then the keyboard is ok again.
The mouse is even more frustrating. I am not using the ball for scrolling, just moving the mouse to move the pointer. It will be working perfectly, then for 15 to 30 seconds will either not respond, or be extremely slow, then be ok again. This has repeated a number of times today, especially when I am in iTunes. The batteries are fine in both devices, since I had the problem, changed the batteries, and still have these problems. Any ideas?

Brian, I called Apple and I think they fixed the problem with the keyboard. Unfortunately, I did not write down the exact keystroke sequence they gave me, but let me tell you what I did. I unplugged the computer and waited 60 seconds. After I plugged in back in, I was told to immediately hold down 4 keys. I think they were something like Ctrl, Command, Shift, and R. Those may not be the exact keys, maybe it was Option instead of Ctrl, and maybe R is not right. I am not sure. Those keys are held down until the second beep is heard after the computer was turned on. Supposedly, this re-established connections between the computer and the keyboard. Sorry I did not write down the key combination. If you can, call Apple and get the proper key stroke combination

  • Problems with my wireless mouse please help!!!!

Hi I have a wireless mouse with a magic charger and the mouse keeps losing contraction when I'm using it and the battery pack keeps popping outP

Read these notes I made recently.   Pay particular attention to the quality of the batteries.   If you are using dime a dozen batteries they usually are too small and do not connect properly.
Whether you use regular or rechargeable batteries you should buy the best. Discounted or unbranded batteries are more likely to give a depleted performance and may be of irregular size, often leading to connection problems. Apple’s own brand, Eneloop and Energiser appear to be the best.
Rechargeable batteries for the standard Magic mouse are unlikely to exceed eighteen days before needing a recharge although the mouse itself can be a limiting factor.   I have seen reports that some Logitech mice vastly exceed this.   Apple may suggest more in their sales blurb but this is a realistic expectation.   The benefit (if you are organised) is that you can always have charged batteries available.   Regular batteries will give you between 25 and 35 days before they need to be replaced.
Note.  Never mix old and new batteries or rechargeable and regular.
The notes above are based on my personal experience, not shutting down my machine and using it for around four hours per day.   Note.   Monitors do not always faithfully report battery strength, particularly the rechargeable ones.
When checking your mouse or keyboard batteries ...
    Turn off the device.
    Remove the batteries,
Clean the terminals both inside the battery compartment and the batteries themselves.
    Replace or renew both batteries.
Turn on the device.   You should get a blinking green light if the device is paired.
Click the mouse to activate it.  The green light becomes steady.
