HT3893 updated my iphone 3GS from Itunes ans cannot get it activated ?
I decide to update my 3GS i phone using the itunes after finishing cannot get it activated ? and all time it tells me SIM card not available even I have replace the SIM card twice.
looking for what do i need to do to get it back working ?

It was hacked/jailbroken to unoffiically unlock it. It has now locked back to the original carrier. Call AppleCare and give them the model and serial number of the iphone and find out who it is locked with. Then contact that cell carrier and see what their official unlock policy is and if you qualify.

i have tried to update my iphone 3gs and i need to get ios5 and when i click on check for updates it says that itunes can not be contacted and check my internet connection but i have internet? how else can i get ios5 on my phone?
edit the hosts file on your computer and remove any lines that contain gs.apple.com. Disable your antivirus and firewall.

Downgrading the iOS is not supported, and likely has caused the problems you are experiencing.
You'll need to go elsewhere for support. -

I don't follow your instructions... mine goes Settings->General->Cellular and from there it's just on/off options for Cellular Data, Enable 3G, Data Roaming, etc. Or I could go Settings->General->Profile APN Carrier Settings but when I click that it just shows as verified but no Visual Voice APN or MMS Settings. If I click More Details it goes to Signing Certificate which has a bunch of parameters for unlockit.co.nz but I am unable to change anything.
I just updated my iphone 3GS to IOS 6 and my internet (wifi and 3G), voice and text all work, but the only thing I can't do is send/receive pictures via text message. I am using At&t prepaid sim. I tried turning off the phone completely but I'm trying to avoid a complete restore.. at least until I can understand the problem better! Any help would be appreciated!

I just updated my Iphone 3GS from 4.3.3 to 6.1. Now is says that my SIM Card is not supported by my carrier. I called Rogers and he says to restore my phone. But I can't get there is it won't recognize my phone. Help!
Insert a SIM from a supported carrier.
Where did the phone come from, it sounds like the device has been hacked or jailbroken to be unlocked and updating has re locked to the original carrier. It is also possible that the SIM simply needs to be reseated or replaced. -

First use JPanel not Panel.

I recently fried my iPhone 3GS and the data used to be synced using iTunes. I have iPad and iMac, which data are synced using iCloud. The data in iMac are duplicated by the iPhone and iPad. Can any one guide me how to remove the iPhone data from iTunes, iCal and address book please. ThanksTurning your email off in settings doesn't remove the email from your account. You have to delete it from your device or from icloud.com, then empty the trash to remove it from your account. Same thing with contacts.
