Be advised a common scam is to sell an iPhone and then
report it missing/stolen for insurance purposes. Insurance
company then has the IMEI blocked and the buyer is left
holding an inoperative brick.
if you are questioning the deal on Ebay, it would be best to
walkaway and not make the purchase.

Oh, don't worry. I know exactly. I'm a retired law enforcement officer after 30 years. I didn't mean for them to allow you to use the Internet, I meant for them to assign an officer to try and track the device for the victim. Again, that would require the victim to provide their Apple ID and password, which most would not want to provide.
Pinging the phone as you mention is only when there is probable cause and that is done through the carrier.
I'm glad to see someone also understand that a stolen cell phone is not as important to law enforcement as it is to the victim. It is unfortunate as smartphones get more expensive. Hopefully as iOS 7 makes it debut later this year, the work Apple has done will have some impact on smartphone theft. Other manufactures and carriers are starting to improve here in the states. It never was something carriers worryed about with blacklisting. This is where they were a step ahead in Europe.

Ebay is not an official reseller. Return it if you can for a refund.
Basic troubleshooting from the Users Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

He told me to go ahead and install and put in the coupon code and I should get the SN. I did and it tells me that my Coupon Code is not good. It is a version for teachers. I am a teacher and do have an Adobe account. I am finding it impossible to contact Adobe Customer Support - an actual person. What can I do?

Usually the seller deactivates from the computer, but I don't understand this "coupon code". When I purchased Adobe CS5 from Adobe, all I needed and got was the 24 digit serial number. If you were not given a serial number, something is not good.

There is no solution other than to contact Sprint and ask them if they will unlock it.

just purchased finally the upgrade for CS6 from CS5.5 Design Premium. I have a BIG problem. When I run the installation file, I put the serial for the upgrade => OK, then I have this message : "valid serial number but no eligible product has been detected", and asks me to put a serial of my actual version. I choose "Design Premium CS 5.5" with the good serial number and then I have this message : "the serial number did not match with a eligible product. Please enter an other serial"... Any ideas???

You can't use the whole song as a ringtone, you would have to create it either by using itunes or an app.

You... AppleCare is no longer offered. It was replaced with AppleCare+ which requires purchase at the time of the device purchase or within 30 days but requires physical inspection of the device by an Apple employee.

I want to change the iTunes account on my wife's I phone from my account (which I now use for my newly purchased iPad)to a new account in her name.

1. Wifes phone and iPad were set up with my iTunes account

You won't lose the photos from your camera roll or from the other albums on your device. The photo stream album will disappear though and be replaced by photo stream from your new ID. if there are any photos in the photo stream album that you wish to change before changing your ID, you can save them to new albums before doing so.
Go to the photo stream album and view it in the photo sheet view (thumbnails), click on the small rectangle with the arrow in it, in the top right-hand corner, then tap to select the photos you wish to save. Once you have selected all the photos you want to save, tap the save button at the top of the screen and create a new album.

Is it possible to get a refund for a case i bought at the store but its not an apple product?

I bought a kate spade plastic case at the store 2 months ago and even the first day of having it on my iPhone I had multiple issues with it. However, I couldn't return it because I was away at school. I went into the Apple store and asked about the possibility of getting a refund for the case but they said it was a third party product and to contact the manufacturer. I called kate spade and since i wanted a refund and purchased at the apple store there was nothing they could do and to ask the apple store for my money back because thats where I purchased it. Am I ever going to get a refund and what should I do at this point?
