My children locked up my ipod and it is saying ipod disables connect to itunes..I am connected to itunes now but still nothing..Please help me

You have to restore from recovery mode by following the steps in http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212 and may need to do so more than once. You will also have to restore from a backup to get your content and apps back.
