Help!!! My Macbook Pro suddenly turns off

Towards the end of my work day, my Macbook Pro suddenly shut off. I thought I had accidently pressed the power button or something, and so I turned it back on. However, 10 minutes later it randomly shut off again. The power was at about 80%. I connected the laptop to charge, and I was able to use it perfectly with no problem. After about an hour, I unplugged it and it continued to turn off again.
I am currenly running Mac OS X Version 10.6.8. I have included the power status, to see if this might be of any help.
CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME?

Macbook Pro suddenly turns off by itself while on the internet or Skype

While on Skype or internet my MacBook Pro suddently turns off and has to be rebooted. This is while the computer is plugged in to external power source. Any suggestions?

Your Mac can't find any bootable partition.
1. Insert the Mac OS X DVD that came with the Mac and press C key while your Mac is starting.
2. Select Utilities > Disk Utility, choose Macintosh HD in the sidebar and repair the disk. If it doesn't work, take the Mac to an Apple Store.
Also, open  > Startup Disk, select Macintosh HD and restart. Maybe your Mac has forgotten the startup partition

Macbook Pro suddenly turned off when fully charged and won't restart. Charger not working either coincidently

My 2 year old 13" MacbookPro suddenly turned off, presumably when the screen automatically dimmed (or went to sleep?) and now it won't turn back on. It was at 96% charge and now when I use the battery checker on the side, nothing shows up. No lights or anything. The charger doesn't seem to work either even after trying it on different outlets. This has never happened before but it has been harder to wake it from sleep in the last 6 months or so. I would have to push the On/Off button for a sec and the screen would turn back on. Also when I turn it on, the password screen is sometimes off-centered..weird.
I'm using Yosemite, the latest version..not sure what it is and can't check right now...I had to go use a PC to ask this question >_<

My one day old MacBook pro just turned off and it won't come back on either through mains or battery power it's as if the unit is completely dead. Even with the mains plugged in there is no green or orange light to say its charging or full charged. The battery was fully charged anyway seconds before the screen went off.

When you say no green or orange light are you refering to the little led on the magsafe connector? That could mean either the charger/cable are bad or the circuitry in the MBP is faulty. Since this is a brand new MBP best bet is to take it back to an Apple Retail store and have the genius bar staff take a look. They can determine if it needs to be reparired or replaced.

Macbook pro 17 turns off when switching to high performance mode

My 2009 Macbook pro 17 turns off and goes dead when switching to "high performance" graphics in the energy saver controll panel.
This happens also when the battery is 100% charged. i must reconnect powersupply to reboot.
The battery is new, from june this year.

It will not do any harm trying it but you are probably correct in these circumstances.
If the symptoms are consistent, then a savvy technician at an Apple store genius bar should be able to define the problem.

Macbook Pro - WiFi turns OFF and won't turn back ON

Hello,
this is my first time posting something on this forum; I will be as detailed as possible. I bought a Macbook Pro back in 2011 and It came with Lion OS. Last year I upgraded it to Mavericks and so far it has been a nice experience. However, in the past week I have experienced a very strange and irrating problem with my macbook. While doing work all of the sudden the WiFi would turn off and lose all connection to the web. I attempted to turn it back ON by clicking on the wifi signal icon but something weird occured, it was still 'ON' according to my mac and the only option available was to actually turn it OFF, so i clicked on it and the icon would go empty with no curvy lines (i attached a picture). Then i clicked again on the icon to turn it back on, however, as was doomed to remain in this state cause no matter what I tried.. the wifi will remain off even after clicking on the 'turn wifi on' option multiple times. I tried going to the assist me option under network preferences and I obtained multiple results with no fix. I tried sending my mac to sleep though at first seemed to fix the problem.. the wifi inmediately went back to being off and wont catch a signal. The only thing that fixes this is a fresh restart which is annoying and unacceptable...this is really annoying and I need a solution asap because this problem is become very frequent (once every 2 hours)... any help will be appreciated it.
I attached 2 pictures and the console log when this happened.
1. A picture of my assist me window before i sent it to sleep, shows the WiFi on the left with the 'Failed' (which confuses me). it also shows the wifi icon empty ( like it was off) but the computer shows as if it was on and would ask you to turn it off... weird?
A second picture after I sent my mac to sleep. Though it seems like there was no wifi signal available, the router was on and literally next to my mac...but my machine wont catch up the signal. (other devices were connected to the wifi and have no problem with it).

Thank you for your detailed troubleshooting attempts. Very helpful. Sorry, I cannot read "logs." My eyes just glass over on those things. Hopefully, a knowledgeable user will come along shortly to decipher for you.
I noticed from the pics that your location setting is "untitled." Have you tried the "Automatic" setting? Run the diagnostic test? Results?
Try the basics first:
   Change your router channel number. Most times this works & is all you have to do.
Disconnect & reconnect your modem. unplug it for about 10 seconds. Plug it back in. Do the same for Apple’s routers. Wait for everything to reboot.
System Preferences>Network
Click the Assist Me button.
In the next window that pops up, click the Diagnostic button & do the necessary.

Macbook pro freeze+turned off

Hi, I'm using macbook pro 15" 2.4GHz with Lion OSX 10.7.4 (i've just updated it for a couple weeks)
I've just experienced that my mac suddenly freeze (i was using iTunes, adobe illustrator, and my adium+skype was on) and turned off.
It goes on again (showing the same screen as before it turned off) in a minute but i still can't move the cursor.
So the only thing that i can do is just press & hold the power button until it turns off.
Does anybody know why is this happen?
When it happened, my battery was 60% and i didn't plug in the charger.

MacBook Pro Screen Turns Off

I had this problem since I bought my MacBook Pro 15' (Summer 2009) whenever using the 9600 card. From time to time the monitor simply turns itself off and then comes back on, sometimes after a few seconds, and sometimes after a few minutes. This happens a few times a day, and sometimes it never happens. But usually it happens during sudden temperature increases, like when waking the mac from sleep, or a short while after firing up a game.
Just by sheer chance, I discovered today that if the screen turns itself off, then I can bring the screen back again by pressing slightly on the aluminum body somewhere above the F5 and F6 keys. Doing so while the monitor is on, can also turn it off and then back again.
I am suspecting that there is a bad contact problem between the motherboard and the screen. Any suggestions or courses of actions are appreciated.
Note that this never happens when using the 9400 card.

OK, so I think I solved my issue. It was caused by the system not going to sleep (The screensaver thing was a dead end).
When I ran the console app pmset, I got something like this:

The process that was causing PreventSystemSleep to be 1 was "org.cups.cupsd" which is the print service. So I checked all my printers, one of them was "In Use". When I opened it, there weren't any jobs listed. I went through the options and selected Jobs > Show Everyone's Jobs and sure enough there was a job there. I deleted it and everything seems to work now.
The odd thing is that print job was probably from my other account which didn't seem to have this screen problem. Anyway, I hope this helps anyone out there....

HT5781 My macbook Pro just turned off randomly when I tried putting in the charger for my phone and wont turn on. what do I do?

So I was downloading albums for my phone on the macbook pro and I tried putting in the charger for my phone but i had it in reverse and when i tried putting it in it just completely turned off. When i connected it to the charger the light on the charger for the laptop would just flickr green and red lightly.
