How do I download an application that I installed on my iMac on my new MacBook Air?
Open the Mac App Store, sign into your MAS account in the Store pulldown menu, go to the Purchaesd pane and download the app.

Not correct. From the terms of use of the itunes store:
"PRODUCTS CAN BE DOWNLOADED ONLY ONCE; AFTER BEING DOWNLOADED, THEY CANNOT BE REPLACED IF LOST FOR ANY REASON. YOU SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR BACKING UP YOUR OWN SYSTEM, INCLUDING ANY PRODUCTS PURCHASED OR RENTED FROM THE ITUNES STORE THAT ARE STORED IN YOUR SYSTEM."

You can transfer itunes purchases from an ipod: File>Transfer Purchases
You can try contacting itunes support to ask for an exception, but they are under no obligation to do so. -
Downloading current product to new device
I just bought a new laptop and want to download my current Acrobat_9.0_Standard to this new device. How do I do that?
If you have a CD/DVD installer just use it. If you downloaded the software, place the installer on an USB stick from your software backup. Be aware that Acrobat 9.0 is not likely to work well on Windows 8.1 [assuming you have a new Windows machine as opposed to a Mac in which case you are out of luck].

Majority of pictures from Camera Roll are not downloading to new device from icloud backup.
Are these photos backed up on your PC? (they should be - regularly)
If not, try restoring from your backup again. You'd have to erase all content and settings and start over. -
Downloading Aperture on a macbook Air
How do I download Aperture on my new MacBook air when I already have purchased it for my Macbook Pro and iMac etc?
If you have the box version you cannot download it from the Mac App store - you'll have to install it using the DVD. Since the MBA doesn't have an optical disk, you'll either need to plug in an external optical drive or using DVD sharing.

Old palm software on new device
I have an ancient palm pilot m515 that has just died. I'm thinking of getting a palm treo. Can anyone tell me if I will be able to use any of my old palm software (free downloads, etc) on the new device? Thanks a bunch.
Post relates to: Palm PilotThe thing to do is to follow the Upgrade Guide to isolate the new device from all the third-party apps that reside in the Backup folder from your old Palm m515. This thread discusses the upgrade procedure and links you to the Upgrade Guide:

Then, selectively you can reinstall the old apps, one at a time, to see if they play nicely with the new device. Just go into the renamed Backupold folder (see the procedure), and double-click on the one you want. Then play with it on the new Palm for a good week or so. If you don't notice any strange behavior, unexplained freezes, spontaneous resets, etc., it should be fine and you can go to the next one.
One of the best games I (still) play on almost every Palm I've owned is Yahdice, a great (free) Yahtzee clone. No color, no glitz, perfect game play on every Palm I've had from a IIIxe to the m515, m130, etc. all the way to my TXes and Centro. So, just because an application is older doesn't automatically mean it won't run cleanly on a new Palm device.

I recently upgraded from 4S to 5S. There are 2 games that I wish to transfer to the new device. 1st game isn't available in the Store anymore, so can't download. 2nd game doesn't save when you change devices. How do I get those 2 apps to my new phone? Can I do that manually through iTunes?

I had an iPod touch, but it was stolen or lost. Now that I have a new one with a new Apple ID, is there someway I can access and download all my old photos and data from my old Apple ID to my new device? I still remember my old Apple ID and password.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

Like the thread topic says. I need help getting Aperture onto my new macbook pro that does not have a drive. I have no need for a drive after this to be honest just need my programs back on it. Thanks.
Two options:
Make a disk image or a clone of the installer CD on your Mac that has a super drive - you can create a disk image using Disk Utility or use Carbon Copy Cloner (if you have it) to clone the DVD to a thumbsdrive. Then run the installer on your MBY from this copy.
Or download the Trial Installer and install from there:
Download the Aperture 3.1 Trial. http://appldnld.apple.com.edgesuite.net/content.info.apple.com/Aperture/061-8328 .20101020.AprE3/ApertureTrial3.1.dmg
Open the Aperture Trial disc image.
Double-click the "Aperture Trial.mpkg" file.
Follow the onscreen instructions to install Aperture.
After the installation completes, choose Software Update from the Apple () menu.
Install the Aperture 3.4 update from the list of available updates.

Are yoy sure that Apeture is not in the Applications folder of the new system? If it is move it to the trash and the App Store will let you download Aperture from it.
You will need to make sure you use the same Apple ID you used to purchase it in the past.

I Backed up my iPhone 4 to the cloud before purchasing my iPhone 5. I downloaded the back up to my new device, turned on photo stream but now all my photos aren't showing up in my stream. Any ideas?
Photo stream photos only remain in iCloud for 30 days. Older photo stream photos are no longer in iCloud to receive. If they were in your camera roll when you last backed up your device, restoring the backup should recover them.

Here comes a "BUT" - imagine your kid playing game and getting to level 51 and have to start over from level one. Or imagine that history that you have in your CNN app. That is what icloud backup contains. My 500 scifi books are in one of the app backups and I REALLY do not want to lose it. That is what you would turn off. -
Downloading previous Aperture purchase to new iMac
I purchased and downloaded Aperture on 07/02/11 to my Macbook Pro. I have an iMac now too and though it is listed as a previous purchase, it will not give me the option to redownload. How do I redownload Aperture for my iMac? I appreciate ANY assistance!

Log into iTunes using the account the Purchase was made with... Click on Buy... and a notice will come up saying you already have it... do you wish to download it again... Click Yes...
Also make sure your New iMac is authorised...

When prompted, enter your Apple ID and password, then click Authorize. -

If you have a rescue email address set up on your account then you can try going to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you might see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
If you don't have a rescue email address set up then go to Express Lane and select 'iTunes' from the list of 'products' in the middle of the screen.
Then select 'iTunes Store', and on the next screen select 'Account Management'
Next choose 'iTunes Store Account Questions' or 'iTunes Store account security' (it appears to vary by country) and fill in that you'd like your security questions/answers reset.
You should get an email reply within about 24 hours (and check your Spam folder as well as your Inbox).
