HT4009 Charged twice for app

So I gift the this app called the chemistry buddy app and sent it and when they sent me a conformation for it being successfully sent. Then I looked on my other iPhone and it was never sent I rechecked two hours later and never sent . So I resent it again and it said free but when I look at my bill I am charged twice. Is there a way to get a refund.

    Sorry if this in the wrong section guys but you lot are really helpful in here
    I downloaded the free Shazam app through the app store, the app asked me a couple of days later if i wanted to upgrade to the full encore version, which i did at a cost of 3.49.
    Then had to do a phone restore about 3 days ago and re-download all my apps, downloaded the shazam encore app and thought no more about it, untill my itunes bill came through and ive got 2 seperate charges for the same shazam encore app
    Anybody know the procedure fore this or had the same thing happen?

    If you started using your non-mac email to login, you could have been suffering the same I have.

    The result: System says they are different accounts because of the different ID and you disregard the usual "purchase" buttons because they DID notice you already bought that app, but this time the charge stays.

    These are user-to-user forums, you are not talking to Apple here and they don't monitor these forums - I've asked the hosts to remove yout account ids from your post.
    In terms of combining accounts it's not currently possible to do so, nor to copy/transfer content from account to another.

    It has nothing to do with have more than one device using that account.
    After you purchase it once, you redownload it on other devices by the following, not like purchasing a new app.
    Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
    If you really got charged twice for purchases the same app twice with the same account contact iTunes again by:
    Apple - Support - iTunes - Contact Us
    Make sure that they are really the same app first.

    Report to Apple and they should be able to provide the credit.  In iTunes under the Store menu, select View Account.  There you should find a selection for Purchase History.  Find the item and select the arrow tab next to it where you will find a selection to Report a Problem.  From my experience Apple will get back to you within 24-hours or less.

    Sounds like you have multiple accounts that got upgraded. Contact that payments team through the online contact form and they will be able to locate the other account. If you receive an automated reply directing you back to the community, just reply to it and you should receive a  response from a representative within 24-48 hours.
