Thank you for your response. I did try the reset previously but it was ineffective for my particular issues. It does seem like time heals some of the problems but when shopping in-app time sensitive purchases (like Today Only deals) I get the freeze. I will try your suggestion with the Sleep & Hold buttons as soon as the problem arises again. Many thanks. Mary

Since upgrading iMac to osx lion I have been experiencing problems in mail, it spontaneously stops receiving and tells me it can't find the pop server and also the biggest problem is that when I send with an attachment the recipient doesn't receive it.
I have to restart mail most times before it starts recieving or recognizes the pop server.

I have been having problems with my speaker. After the recent update I am unable to listen to movies, music or apps using my speaker. The volume bar is completely missing. If I plug a headset into the port, the volume bar reappears and then disappears after the headset is removed. This is quite annoying. My child's Apps that he likes to play will not even make a sound. HELP!!!
Do a reset (Hold Sleep/Wake and Home buttons about 10 secs or more till Apple logo appears, ignore the Slide to Power Off that appears)

I have an ipad mini that keeps shutting down ever since I upgraded to ios 7.1.2.
Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset.

Last night I updated my iTunes and Safari software to the latest versions on my Windows 7 PC using Apple Software Update. Everything seemed to go smoothly in the installation. But when I tried to access the web today using Safari, the browser freezes. The url bar loads to a certain point and never loads. And when I try to access the iTunes store it does essentiall the same thing. The bar gets to a certain point and then stops. Anyone finding solutions to this?
I have exactly the same issue accessing the store here in Australia.
I uninstalled Safari with nochnage in iTunes.
Even weirder iTiunes will allow me to download app updates but won't show the home page or any other pages. I can access my account details but not Ping.

Try this. Go to Settings>General>Accessibility>Reduce Motion>Off. Then go to Settings>Wallpaper and Brightness and selet your wallpaper again - or try scaling the wallpaper again that you are currently using. If you have enlarged the wallpaper too much, then you lose resolution because you are enlarging the pixels and that makes the photos look burry.
Something else that you can try is to reset the iPad. Hold down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time until the Apple logo appears on the screen. After the iPad restarts, see what the background looks like. -

Seriously though, basic troubleshooting is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). -
Every time I touch my iTunes app it opens for about 1-2 seconds and then immediately shuts back down. Has anyone else experienced this or have suggestions on how to fix this?

I have performed all the TS methods suggested. All I want is to purge all of FF from my system. I have purged profiles, and others as recommended during TS. It doesn't matter if all plugins are disabled or not.I want a very clean system of FF (registry included)
I will then try to reinstall FF 4.0.1 to see if it works as designed.
IE works fine,but I prefer FF.It is not a good idea, to manually delete registry keys. Java uninstaller removes all registry entries that are needed to perform clean future installation.
You might see some of the keys not removed by Java unistaller but they do not prevent any user from doing fresh installation of Java in future.
Java removal tool is currently being developed, but that is for removing old/unsecure and unsupported Java versions. The tool isn't really intended to remove current/above security baseline versions of Java.
Also, the tool does a standard un-install using msiexec /x. It won't specifically delete registry keys - it lets msiexec do it. -
Ever since I upgraded my iPad to IOS6, I have been unable to get into my work email, which is through Google. No problems before update.
Downgrading to an older iOS version is not supported on iOS devices.
Make sure that you have downloaded all of the updates for your apps and see if that helps.
Try this as well. if the Apple apps are working OK and it is the third party App Store apps that are crashing - try downloading another app - any free app. See if that helps.
You said that you reset the iPad but you may have to restore your iPad to factory settings and then to a backup if you can't resolve the problem. -
ever since I upgraded to ios 7, my battery life is very short. I do not use the ipad all that much and have to charge it twice as much as before. I have been on the phone to Apple 3 times and turned off a number of things that I am not using and now power it off more regularly but still not happy with battery life. It is less than a year old and as I said, I don' t use it all that much
My best bet would be to restore the phone. Back it up to itunes, and then reset it Factory settings. This way, any corrupt software will be removed, and you can start fresh. Make sure you back it up first. By the sounds of it, you are using the phone for business and probably need the data from it. Hope this helps!

I've noticed that ever since I upgraded my ipad mini to ios7, the battery runs down much more quickly. I close out of apps when I'm not using them, turned off location services, and took a number of other recommended steps, but it still seems a lot worse than it was on the old OS. Any suggestions? Is there any way to get back to the old OS?
Rolling back is not supported by Apple.
Have you look into background app refresh, background app update and notifications? Turning those off may help.
