I can't make an in-app purchase in the app game Campus Life. iTunes goes to the credit card and I don't have a credit card, and so an error shows up insufficient funds. I have money in my iTunes account from the gift card. How do I buy through iTunes not through a Credit card? I didn't see anything on iTunes/apple account that will let me change it. I see other people can get gems or whatever through iTunes in-app. Please help ASAP! Thanks.

Just to confirm, you are logged into the iTunes Store using the account in which the balance exists, and the balance is showing at the top of the iTunes Store window? And you're not trying to purchase gifts for someone else?

He was purchasing coins or something, but the process went to my account, but didn't take money from the balance of the card. I am guessing I need to change a setting, but it didn't give an option to do so. How do I go about using the gift card? The balance shows on my computer when the account is open, so I know he did it correctly, we just don't know how to spend it!

My school wants to purchase three copies of one of my photo books. The school is tax exempt. How can we make a tax exempt purchase using a school credit card?
I don't believe Apple is setup for tax exempt purchases. It's strictly comsumer oriented.
Are you making a profit on your book sale? If so just up the price to cover the tax and you purchase it and deliver to the school. If not then reimburse the school for the tax and write it off as a deduction.

how do i do itOpen iTunes on your computer. In the iTunes Store log into your iTunes Store account and view your account. Select Edit Payment Information. In the credit card choices I would choose None. That will remove your Mom's CC info. Next under iTunes Gift Cards and Certificates click the little arrow to redeem your Gift Card. Then follow the instrction to redeem your GC.
You can also do this on your iPod, but it is more complicated to describe how to do it and to actually do it. It is easier to do in the iTunes on your computer. -

how do I deduct payment for music from a recently downloaded iTunes card and not my credit card
Just click on the song's/album's price button and it should automatically be deducted from your balance - you can't specify how items are charged, it's automatic.
The only time that your credit card should be charged is when gifting, you can't use your balance for that, or if your balance doesn't cover the entire price (in which case the remainder would be charged to the card). -

Normally the credit is used up first before the system falls back to a credit card to cover a balanced not covered completely by the credit on the account.

How much is the in-app purchase you wish to make? Is it possible that with sales taxes, charged on most states if you're in the US, would push the price over $10? If so, and all you have is $10 in your balance, then the iTunes Store will require a credit card for the remainer of the cost.
