A free app is free to download from the store. Some apps (both free and paid-for) then allow you to make in-app purchases within them e.g. to unlock extra features (items or levels in a game, extra features in other apps etc), to remove adverts (some free apps get money via adverts that are diaplayed in them, but you can sometimes pay to remove them).
If you don't want to be able to make in-app purchases then you can turn them off on your iPad via Settings > General > Restrictions > In-App Purchases 'off'.
As most of the people on these forums, including myself, are fellow users, not iTunes Support, we won't know why you have been charged $40 in the last six months. Have you looked at the purchase history on your account (Store > View Account menu option on your computer's iTunes), or contacted iTunes Support ?

I am not sure how you decided that Time Machine is not saving your files. The default is for Time Machine to do incremental Backups of everything on all attached drives, except for certain temporary information in Cache files. If you have four Users, Time Machine will back them all up.
Looking at the raw Time Machine backups will tell you very little, because it does lots of its work with Hard Links, and because it does incremental backups, so only files that changed since the last Backup are saved at thet cycle. The way to determine whether Time Machine is saving things is to display the window you care about in the Finder, then invoke the "Star wars"/ "Back, back, back in time" Interface. -

What's the difference between new Apple TV and last one
What's the difference between the last Apple TV model and the new one? Do I need to buy the new one or will the sofware update catch me up to the same standard as the new one?
The bottom line is that the new one will output 1080p, this is achieved by an upgraded processor and reportedly additional RAM.
There are no additional features included in the new model that aren't included the older one other than the higher resolution output. -

I'm not sure I understand the difference between the 3.6 versions and the much newer 9.0.1 version. I have much more trouble with this newer version--in fact had to uninstall it because it kept crashing. I understand that there are more bells and whistles, but what's the advantage of the newer ones over this old reliable version?
OK, that gives me all the propaganda, but why does it crash all the time? I went back to 8.0.1 and have no problems at all. That is a rhetorical question because I don't think they know yet. I love the internet, but these upgrades seem to come out before they really have all the bugs cleaned out.

You'll have to contact Apple, within the receipt email there's a link stating 'problems with this download' or words similar, click on it & explain your problem.

I am a newbie to MAC world. Being an ex-PC guy, I am used to CDs and traditional software. I want to buy Aperture as my main photo editing software. I have been using DXO and Photoshop in the past. I downloaded Apeture trial version and I am comfortable with it. If I were to buy it, should I buy an app or traditional software CD. I edit approx. 4-5 pictures a day, just for personal use though. I have replied to you three times now without reply. I DID NOT authorise a payment of £9.99 for NowTV. What is the solution to getting my money refunded. I think you assume I will go away after being Ignored. No I will not go away. I find now that you have DISABLED MY APPLE ID. Is this a punishment you use to anyone who takes up a stand against charges being made unauthorised on their account?. Please tell me why you have disabled my account. When will my account be restored? If not when will you refund ALL my purchases made to APPLE/ITUNES? I can then move on to another brand and hopefully better customer service. After reading articles regarding APPLE ID DISABLED it appears common practice from your company to DISABLE anyone's account if they question unknown charges. UK(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:

You can't play music from the computer if there is none there. If you are using iTunes Match you should now be able to download and play all your music on the Apple TV from the music feature on the main page. -

My home wireless is no longer recognized, even going through the set-up process. It does not connect to the car through Bluetooth seamlessly--I have to add my phone as a new device each time I get in the car. In attempting to solve these problems I have gone to settings-phone-upgrade and it states that the upgrade is available-select to continue-(which I do)- it checks -please wait and it then states that update not available - try later.
Maybe not too late to help you.
For specifically fixing the Bluetooth, un-pair your phone with the car, and go through the process of repairing the two.
In general, the KK update requires many of us (different phones) to perform a Factory Data Reset after we back up our personal content (pictures, music, movies, or other downloaded files) to a PC or MAC. This will result in you having to do a bit of work to setup icons for the programs you use, and maybe putting in the specifics again for email accounts and other specialized apps. So if you are going to do this sort of thing... copy important information/settings down on paper.

ModuleLoader is a kind of strange API that is really just intended to look like SwfLoader for modules that contain a single visual component, and hides most of the module loading infrastructure, which is all about class factories.
What I mean by "only loaded once" is that if you have several places in the code that call the ModuleManager.getModule("url").load() call, it will only ever get loaded over the wire and interpreted once, subsequent "loads" will just re-dispatch pseudo-load events to the new client. In other words, the class factory is a singleton for a given url. Unloading is a totally different story. As you note, not everything is truly unloadable, because there may be lots of references to stuff in
the module that will keep it alive and un-GC'ed.
I suggest playing with the low-level API so that you understand the backing implementation, and this should help you understand the limits of ModuleLoader.
The main difference between modules and applications is that modules have lower overhead, and they only ever get loaded once, no matter how many times you load them. If you're using the ModuleLoader API, keep in mind that you're losing about half the functionality of the module system. I will assume that you are, because otherwise it would be obvious where to expose methods. You might want to play around with the lower level ModuleManager API just to get a hang of what's going on - ModuleLoader is a pretty thin veneer over the lower API.
Basically, what you want to do is to have your module implement an interface, say IModuleWhatever.
