HT4009 What if an In-App purchase never downloaded to begin with?

I made an In-App purchase a few days ago and have been trying to contact the company to at least Talk to a representative and figure out what went wrong, but they have been in general, unhelpful, and haven't responded. The only email I've recieved simply confirmed that I sent in an email. Any ideas on what I should do?

Contact support for assistance.

  • What is an in-app purchase?

what is an "in-App" purchase? I am noticing alot of charges on my account for these and my daughter says she is not downloading them..

For details about In-App Purchases, see:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4009
Your daughter may not realize that she's making the purchases, or she may just not be telling the truth. In any case, to prevent this from happening again, turn off "In App purchases" in the Restrictions settings on the iOS device your daughter. You may also want to turn off the ability to install apps, to prevent purchases in case your daughter gets hold of your iTunes Store account information, and set the password to be required immediately. • New App Purchases never show in Profile Manager

I have been using VPP Managed Distrubuition and Profile Manager without issue since December then out of the blue new any app purchases never appear in Profile Manager under the App tab. Includes both paid and free apps and they are in the Purchase History of my Program Facilitator account. Nothing has changed at the server setup that I'm aware of and I'm not really sure where to go now as emailing VPP support resulted in a reply that they can't offer advice on Profile Manager and I need to speak to Enterprise support. I think my VPP token is broken.
I have turned Profile Manager off and back on, removed the token and redownloaded and applied it again and performed another purchase and still nothing is showing that has been purchased since Febuary. Have also turned the Push Notifications off and back on. The 80 odd apps purchased before Feb continue to work as expected and I can assign them to users, remove users from the program and retrieve the licence etc.
As a last ditch I updated the OS to 10.9.2 along with the corisponding Server App version yesterday but this has had no effect.
Greatly appreciate any thoughts or suggestions.

Can do however won't that clear all my App assignments in Profilemanager and Managed Profile Settings? The MDM functions of Porfile Manager are working fine. Just can't see new App purchases.
I tested again yesterday and purchased 5 new distrubuited licences of Edmodo and Micosoft Word. Neither display to assign to users.
Have 73 existing purchases made before March showing still and I can assigned them to users who have enrolled. I can also continue to enroll new users.

  • Mac AppStore trying to update an app i never downloaded with someone else's ID

My mac app store wants to update an app i never downloaded, MacTracker, and when i click update, it has someone elses ID in the login box.
    I don't download cracked apps/software.
I have never heard of this app let alone downloaded it.
Tried resetting ID/password, logged in and out of all Apple services iCloud/iTunes/MAS
Reset MAS, reinstalled, deleted preferences and still it wants to update this app.
Anyone shed a light on this?

    Quit the App Store.
    Go to ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.appstore
Move the Cache.db file from the com.apple.appstore folder to the Trash, restart your Mac.
~ (Tilde) character represents the Home folder.
For LIon: To find the Home folder in OS X Lion, open the Finder, hold the Option key, and choose Go > Library

    Hi Dave_warr,
I would suggest restarting the iPad and see if the download resumes.
iTunes: How to resume interrupted iTunes Store downloads
Resuming downloads from an iOS device
From the Home screen, tap the iTunes icon.
For iPhone/iPod touch, tap More > Downloads. For iPad, tap Downloads.
Enter your account name and password.
    Click the "OK" button.
Click the Resume or Resume All button to start the download.
If you don't see the application to download it, then follow these troubleshooting steps:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
If the app does not appear in your list of purchases, then contact the iTunes Store for help:
How to report an issue with your iTunes Store, App Store, Mac App Store, or iBookstore purchase
I hope this information helps ....
    Have a great day!

How do I get my money back on a in-app purchase
I didn't receive anything and it deducted from my iTunes account

Does the app have an IAP download option in that allows you to download them and/or does the developer's website have any info on it about what to do ? If not then try the 'report a problem' page to contact iTunes Support : http://reportaproblem.apple.com
If the 'report a problem' link doesn't work then you can try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

  • HT4009 I made an In-App purchase, but the product never downloaded and I was charged for it.

What do I do now? I do not want to pay $19 for help on a $4.99 purchase.

    Hey there rjcj5600,
It sounds like you made an in app purchase and have been charged, but have not received the item. I would reach out to our iTunes Store support directly with this article:
How to report an issue with your iTunes Store, App Store, Mac App Store, or iBooks Store purchase
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1933
To report an issue with your iTunes Store, App Store, Mac App Store, or iBooks Store purchase, follow these steps:
Find the email receipt for your purchase.
Click Report a Problem under the app that is having the issue.
When prompted, enter the Apple ID and password you used to purchase the item, then click Report a Problem.
Click Report a Problem next to the item you are having an issue with.
From the Choose Problem dropdown menu, choose the appropriate issue.
Follow the onscreen instructions and—if prompted—type a description of the problem into the text field.
Click Submit to have your issue reviewed.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    All the best,
    Sterling

I made an In-App Purchase and didn't receive it and I still paid for it what should i do? How should i contact apple to get my money back?

The necessary links/menus you need to navigate to after clicking the Report a Problem link can be a little tricky to find. See
Refunds from the App Store or iTunes Store
You should be good to go with that.

I made an In-app purchase of WORDsearch Bible, Thompson Chain Reference Library on March 18, 2013. I tried to download the purchased item on my iPad2 but was unsuccessful even though my account with iTunes stores was debited almost immediately I completed the purchase. What can I do to retrieve or download the item I purchased?

    Suzie
    I sympathise with you.
We are fellow users here, you must contact Apple or your credit card company to try to resolve this.
In your email invoice for the £69.99 there may be a Report a Problem link, but I've found they don't work as well as they used to.
    Try:
    https://expresslane.apple.com/
Did you buy anything (free or otherwise) just before your son got hold of the iPad?
I've always found that if you've entered your password to purchase or update in the last 5-10 mins that you don't get asked for it again - I think this should be optional for app store purchases but definitely for in-app purchases if they allow kids to rack up extortionate costs.
I hope Apple can do the right thing for you.
£69.99 is a ridiculous in-app purchase cost.  Do you know what the app was?
