Have you added or changed your credit card details on your iTunes account ? If you have then each time that you do so a small temporary store holding charge may be applied to check that the card details are correct and valid and that it's registered to exactly the same name and address as on your iTunes account - it should disappear off your account within a few days or so.

Were you also charged for the song ? If not then do you get any error messages when trying to gift it ?

    Hello, Lynne.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
Here is a helpful article that explains how iTunes purchases are billed.
iTunes Store: How iTunes Store purchases are billed
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5582
When using iTunes to purchase content for the first time on a new device, it may require you to verify your payment information as a way to authenticate your device.  If this not a new device attempting to access iTunes store and prompting you provide payment information, there could be an outstanding balance.  This article will show you how to verify you purchase history and invoices.
iTunes Store & Mac App Store: Seeing your purchase history and order numbers
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2727
Also, you can change the payment method as none as long as there isn't an outstanding balance on the account.

    Hope this helps,

I tried to follow the instruction of buying iphone apps without a credit card. I follow the steps and I selected United States, but when I fill up the credit card info, i could not find the word "None". Anyone know what should I do?

When you tried to contact Support with the card's images how were you trying to do it, on your phone or a browser on your computer ? And have you tried a different browser to see if you get the same error message ?
As well as images of the card they might also want an image of its receipt.
And to contact Support you were using : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ , and clicked on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then iTunes Cards And Codes ?

  • HT201303 How do i delete my credit card info from i tunes and still down load stuff??

How do i delete my credit card info from i tunes and still down load stuff??

I think this issue has already been resolved in other discussions, please review Apple Discussions more carefully before you start a new discussion. This makes it easier for people to find the "resolved" discussions when searching for the anwers, like you are.
But I'll still give you some info.
I would suggest that you sign into your iTunes Store account using a computer as mobile devices can sometimes not update the info on your iTunes Store account(all based on connection and some security features on your account). Once you sign in, click the arrow next to your email address in the upper right corner of the screen and then click "Account". In the Apple ID summary, you can click edit in the payment section and then you need to click "None" that appears. Try these steps:
    click this link:
    https://phobos.apple.com/accountSummary
(If you are not already signed in, you will need to enter your iTunes Store account name and password and then click the Account Info button to sign in.)
The Apple Account Information page will appear. On this page, click the Edit Payment Information button, which is the second button from the top.
On the Edit Payment Information page, select "None" from the list of credit card types. This will delete your billing information.
Be sure to click the Done button at the bottom of the page to save your changes.
Please note: you cant remove your credit card if have an outstanding balance without providing a new credit card or iTunes Store Gift Card(needs to process all payments before you can remove a credit card). Also, any active allowances or subscrtiptions(i think) will not allow the credit card to be removed.
Some people are not given the option to remove their credit card. This indicates a billing issue with your account. Email iTunes Store Support for assitance, but I would make sure you havn't used the iTunes Store account for a while(week) and then try again.
All Apple ID info is private, so only the accoutn owner can edit the information. I suggest that you keep trying and trying after restarting your computer and many sign in and sign outs before you give up.

  • HT204370 I need to put in my credit card info. How do i do that?

How do I add credit card info to apple ?

    So,
Verify your information in iTunes. Put in your Security Code again and click Done. See if that helps.
If it doesn't, then wait until the morning. Occasionally there are problems with the Servers, and if you just give it a little time it will sort itself out.
    Cheers,

  • When I tried to log into my itunes account, I was asked to update my credit card information. When I confirmed my credit card info, I got a response about my security code not being accurate -which is not the case-it is 100% accurate. How do I fix?

I keep getting a message about my security code not being accurate. I tried 3 different cards & have the same issue. Is this a systems issue? I need to get my apps installed on my new iPhone 4. I am unable to download without confirming my credit card info- My security codes are 100% accurate.Anyone else having this issue? What is the fix for this?

    Ohemod,
There are 120+ countries that have iTunes Stores, but that leaves many that do not.  You can consult this document:  iTunes Store: Which types of items can I buy in my country?
Opening in a new country requires a tremendous amount of legal, commercial and financial investment, but I am sure Apple would be interested in knowing where there is unmet demand.  If you wish to make suggestions to Apple, you can use the iTunes Feedback page.

  • HT1918 I've put several different credit card info in iTunes for purchases but it keeps on saying go to iTunes support for support. Not sure why it keeps on saying.

I've tried & put several different credit cards to use in iTunes for purchases but it just keeps on saying for assistance go to iTunes support. It never says card declined or anything like that, it just refers it to iTunes support.

Have you contacted iTunes Support to ask them ? If no then you can do so via this link (we are fellow users here on these forums, we won't know why) : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

  • HT204034 Do I have to put in my credit card info?

There should really be a "none" option...

You are posting in the wrong area. It sounds as if you are trying to create an Apple ID without a credit card. You posted your question in the Apple Pay area, which is a service built around credit cards. So that is why you got the answer you got.
To create an Apple ID without a credit card, you need to follow the instructions in this support document. Create an iTunes Store, App Store, or iBooks Store account without a credit card or other payment method - Apple Suppor…

  • How can you cancel credit card information my sons trying to download free apps yet credit card info keeps popping up and he can't download the app! Plz help

Hi I got my son a  I pad mini for his Christmas first he used I tunes card which was fine then I entered my bank details to download a game you pay for now because I've entered the bank details every time he try's to down load a free game it wontlethim get it as its asking for credit card information ,
Can somebody tell me how I can get it back to when he first got it and he could down load all the free apps. Without card information or how I can get the card information bit away thanks

Go to settings on your device then select app store. If you tap on the email that is shown it will give you an option to view your apple ID. When you are viewing your apple ID, tap on payment method and it will show a list of credit card options. The one at the bottom should say none. If you then tap none for payment options the credit card will not be connected. If you go on to the app store again you should be able to download free apps with out any issues.
    Hope this helped!
