Hi on my IPad Desk top I have the following message:
"This iPad hasn't been backed up in 2 weeks> Backups happen when the iPad is plugged in, locked and connected to Wi-Fi. When I tap Ok nothing happens.
The slide to unlock doesn't work wither. Can you help, please?

Basic troubleshooting is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Has any of this been tried?
Just FYI, this is the iPhone forum.

press and hold top power button and home button in front for 6-8 seconds until you see an apple, for it to reset.
and make sure your initiating an icloud backup or it will come up again.
1. be connected to wi fi
2. be plugged in to power source
3. turn screen off
go to settings>icloud>storage and backup>backup now.

Reset: Hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons until the screen goes dark and the Apple logo appears
To stop the message:
Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > Backup Now
iCloud Backup will run automatically on a daily basis if:
- it is plugged into a power source
- it is connected to Wi-Fi
- the screen is locked

Not backing up should not restrict you from using the iPad (if it did, there would be a lot of people in trouble)
Try restarting the iPad, holding both the home and power button down until you see the Apple Logo and then try to log in.

Do a reset. Hold down the sleep and home keys until it reboots and you see the silver apple. That should make it go away.
