HT4059 Can I record a book to read to my daughter?

Is there an option or record button for ebooks so that I could record my own voice reading the book. Then she could use it as a read to me book?

A refund may not be possible since the terms of sale for the iTunes Store state that all sales are final. You can contact the iTunes Store, explain the reason for your request, and ask, though:
http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact.html
It's possible they'll make an exception for you.
Good luck.

How can I mark a book as read or completed in Apple ibook?

After researching this further, I have concluded that the update feature is working correctly. What I was expecting was that once the iPod would sync with my Mac, that the updating, including marking the podcast as read would take place at that point. In reality, this function does not take place until I click on "Update" in iTunes. During that process the various blue dots of those Podcasts listened to go away, and Podcasts that are outside the parameters of those I want to retain are deleted.
So, if indeed, as long as I have completed the entire Podcast, the update functions are working properly.

Can I use Bookshare books on iBooks? Will their format be compatible ?

I don't think so. It appears that Bookshare uses the DAISY format, and iBooks uses ePub. According to the Bookshare site, you need Read2Go:

  • HT4059 Can I share a book I purchased with a friend?

Can i share a book I purchased with a friend and how?

They are supposed to buy their own copy.  It doesn't work quite the same way with iBooks as with paper books.  You would have to authorize their device for your media and that would make things tricky in all kinds of ways.

  • HT4059 CAN YOU SHARE IBOOK BOOKS WITH OTHER IBOOK USERS?

Does anyone know if you can share books in ibook with other ibook users?

No, not unless you give them access to your iTunes Store account (which would probably be a violation of the Store terms of use).
    Regards.

Can I share iBooks that I have purchased with another iPhone user?
If so, how do I do that?

ibooks (and other content downloaded from Apple) are tied to your iTunes account - so unless they have access to your account then no.

  • HT4059 Can I share a book I bought with a friend

Can I share books with friends on my iPad like you can on kindle

All iTunes downloads are tied to the account that downloaded them, they can't be loaned or transferred to another account - so unless you give them access to your account then no, you can't

  • Running parallels and Quick Books on a MacBook. MacProtector messed me up last week but I got it off Now I can't get Quick Books to open. Can anyone help?

I am running Parallels and Quickbooks on my macbook. After an unfortunate encounter with macprotector (I didn't install it) which I was able to get off my computer, I now cannot access Quickbooks. It is trying to open it (unsuccessfully) in my Disk Utility. Any suggestions?

I figured this out. There is an extra step now which I assume is from the iTunes update.  There is an option below where you check to sync Audiobooks to 'Include Audiobooks from Playlists'. I checked the playlist f and now my book is all the way on my phone instead of just pretending.
Seems redundant but what do I know...At least I can listen to my book finally.

    iPad (iOS 7.1.2) - Kindle.
I am looking for a good app that can help a college student with reading books that cannot be found on audio book.  I have tried voice over and it works but it's very monotone and it really strings things together.
    - I'm willing to pay for a good app but I can't seem to sort though the many that are out there. Any suggestions.

Ah. I'm surprised, but there we go.

Didn't have time to do more than skim, but 'Ardour' looked promising. Protools is the only one I've used, the full product is one of the industry standards, but the free 'lite' version listed here seems to be limited to 2 in/out as well.
Referring to your original post, I'd think trying to write or 'script' something would be a nightmare ... synchronisation of streams within something like Applescript would be a major issue, quite apart from anything else.
