HT4060 I would lke to use an iPAD with chart plotting programmes. Is it possible to charge the iPAD from a 12Volt supply or do I have to use an inverter to get mains Voltage first?
I like offshore sailing which means that I am without mains electricty for extended periods. I am considering the use of an iPAD 4th generation with a download of iNAVX which would appear to give an iPAD excellent chart plotting capeabilities. But how to keep it charged after the battery runs out? It seems very inefficient to have to use an Inverter to get a mains voltage, only to reduce it again to the level of a USB output!
Long time sailor but never tried charging an iPad aboard away from dock power.

I have a Cisco/Linksys WRT-54G wireless router and 2 Airport Extremes (the small ones that plug directly into the wall). Is it possible to extend the network from the router using these two AEs? I have a DVD player and Ext HD plugged into the router too. Any ideas? I'm guessing the only way is to do what I've seen in these community pages which states that it can be done but it will drop the bandwidth by 50%. Thoughts?? Thanks!
The Cisco/Linksys WRT-54G was one of the very few routers said to be compatible with Apple's implementation of WDS (Wireless Distribution System) settings.
The info that I have on file indicates that only the WRT-54G versions 4 and under were compatible, so that would be one bridge to cross.
Even if you find that your Cisco/Linksys might be the right version, Apple never published instructions on how to configure the Express devices with other manufactures, so users were left to their own devices to try to figure out how to get things working. Apple's instructions to connect to other Apple devices are in the link below:
WDS network
If you were hoping to use 2 Express devices in this type of configuration...even if it works...the bandwidth penalties will be extremely severe.
The first Express drops the bandwidth (and speed) on the entire network in half and the second halves everything again. So, the result, in effect would be a "g" wireless network running at 25% speed. Few users would consider installing this type of network.
At this point, it becomes one of those things where the fact that you might be able to do something does not mean that there would be much value in doing so. But, it is your decision to decide if you want to try to proceed. -
I originally had an iPhone 4 but switched service carriers back in June. When I bought the new iPhone 4s, all my information from the iPhone 4 was saved as a backup on the iCloud. On my new phone in the iCloud settings, Storage & Backup, it shows the backup from the iPhone 4. This backup is taking up a lot of space on my phone and I would like to delete to avoid having to purchase more space. However, I know I have pictures on this backup from the iPhone 4 that I would like to view and save on my computer if at all possible before deleting. Is it possible to view the photos from this backup? If so, how? Thank you in advance for any assistance. I hope this makes sense, lol, I'm not very computer literate.
Unfortunately with the issues I mentioned above I don't even think I have enough space for that on the computer! I have literally moved all moy pictures, music, etc. to another drive and all that's left are some small docs and applications. I don't know how to find any more space on the thing and can't get things updated until I fix this...

It's asking you for my apple id password. not going to give that out, sorry.
However I did try this projector on my mother in laws iphone 4 and on my old iphone 3. ipico software isn't needed. plug and play any video through standard movie player or camera saved video.
I tried on my girls iphone 5 with the adapter. The ipico software and projector doesn't work on this phone.
Hope this helped you. Better to buy a used iphone 3 or 4 and use it for video storage.
I also found that the battery on these projectors are a joke (30-60mins max). I rigged a longer lasting battery on the outside and keep it plugged in while using. This doesn't charge the phone though so I replaced the battery in the old iphone 3 and now get at least a full length movie from it. Great in bed projected onto the ceiling.

Am trying switch from an earlier iPhone to an iPhone4. I have had the Simcard cut to the right size and put it in the iPhone 4 and gone to iTunes. I have clicked on Restore but I get the message that this cannot be done: "unknown error 1604" . What to do now, please?

I have the original ipad (OS 5.1.1) using pages 1.7.2 and backing up to icloud. If I open up one of the docs from icloud, I can no longer open it on my ipad. Looks like the pages version gets updated to a version that is incompatible with my ipad. Is there anyway stopping icloud from changing the version and is there a way to recover the old version of the document on my ipad?

launch so I am trying to reinstall. I followed the directions from this site about uninstalling and deleting files and making a backup. When I try to

I use mainly Chrome but also tried IE8 just in case - no difference. However I finally remembered that when I had a similar problem downloading/installing OS4 for my iPhone (which crashed it and caused total lockup for about 4 days, resolved only after hours of calls to iPhone helpdesk) it turned out that the problem was caused by my home wi-fi connection. When I hard-wired the network connection the problem was solved. I tried it with iTunes - and it installed first time.
Don't know what would cause this problem, which as far as I can see affects only Apple software. Everything else seems to download and install over the wi-fi without glitches.

What is it you want to remove? You can remove the backup of your old iPad by going to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Documents>Manage Storage, then tap the name of your old iPad under Backups and scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Backup. To remove iCloud from your old iPad, go to Settings>iCloud and tap Delete Account at the bottom. If you want to keep a copy of the synced data on your old iPad be sure to choose Keep on iPad when prompted.

I am trying to take songs from my PC AND My Itunes account and send them to my husband's IPOD TOUCH First Generation BUT I don't want to change my whole ITUNES account that is already on my computer. When I plug HIS Ipod Touch into the PC, my ITUNES account wants me to CHANGE the DEVICE Name on the account and I don't want to do that. I only want to share SOME of my songs on my Itunes account and send them to h is IPOD TOUCH? Is this possible and HOW! Thanks a ton!!! I "checked" off the songs that I want to send but that's as far as I get before it asks me to change the Device Name?
Is his iPod usually synced to a different iTunes library/computer? If so, that would explain the message iTunes is giving you. An iPod is designed to sync with only one computer/iTunes library at a time. If you try to sync it with a new library, the iPod's contents will be erased and replaced with what is in the newer/different iTunes library.
So if there is content you would like to add to his iPod, simply transfer it from your iTunes library to his.

How do I severe my iPad from my iCloud when I no longer have my iPad?
Hi! Recently my brother was in the hospital for a while. I loaned him my iPad to play games on. I ended up just telling him to keep it. I did not turn anything off on the iPad (because I wasn't yet to the point I wanted to murder the iCloud). Anyways, I remembered to change my email password, but that is it. I am now getting his photographs on my PhotoStream. I am also worried he might be able to see my iMessages and my photos. The option to have him turn off iCloud is the last case scenario. He wouldn't know how to do it, it would get awkward when I told him why I needed it turned off ect...I need to know how to turn off these features or somehow severe the iPad from the iCloud. I changed the iCloud password, thinking this would knock the iPad photo streaming off, but I got back up here today and saw another photo. I considered just deleting my iCloud, but that would mean the iPad would still be tied to my apple ID...so I am not really sure how to do this, if anyone could help, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

Every time I launch the creative cloud desktop app it says I need to update. When I follow the prompts to update I lose my taskbar, etc on my windows 7 machine. I then have to restart windows explorer to get the desktop back, but the app still now says I have to update. Circular problem - please help.

There is no way to remotely track or disable an iPod nano, either for you or Apple. As it can't connect to the Internet on its own, Find my iPhone isn't available for it.

Is it possible to put the results from a query in a variable to use in the bean class?
Hello, I'm using JDeveloper 12.1.2.0.0
I would like to keep the result of my queries (the method i created in the AppModule) in a RichTable or other type of variable so i can have the results stored and i don't have to do unnecessary queries after. I don't think the query is the problem but keeping the results.
I've tried to do that by using this:
