my ipad won't recharge and now there is no power to even reset it
Could be the charger, cable or iPad. Plug the USB cable into your computer. It may say "Not Charging", however, it is charging slowly and will verify that the cable is good.
Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W (5W on Mini) USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. My iPad won't charge after plugging into my computer and after holding down the power and home button at same time for 10 seconds… Can anybody help? Has IOS7.0 but not the most up-to-date version
It's just the battery sign - nothing else. I've tried to reboot by holding down both power and home key for 10+ seconds, waiting for the apple logo - but nothing happens. It's plugged into the imac at the moment. I tried to recharge it overnight using the normal charger - but no luck. It went dead during a Skype call with a friend - even though it was powered into the mains - albeit at a low battery level at the time

Both iPod and iPad won't connect after update.
Both iPod and iPad won't connect after update. iTunes says "can't allocate a resource"
I had the same problem after updating to iOS 7 today. I did follow the advice on another site, but additionally rebooted my iMac. Worked after that.
Follow these steps to reset the Lockdown folder:
Disconnect all iOS devices from your computer and quit iTunes.
From the Finder, choose Go > Go to folder.
Type the following and then press Return:
/var/db/lockdown.
The Finder window should display one or more files with long alphanumeric file names.
In the Finder, choose Edit > Select all. Then, choose File > Move to Trash. Enter an administrator password if prompted.
Note: Do not delete the Lockdown folder itself. Delete only the files contained inside the Lockdown folder.
Reconnect your iOS device and open iTunes
My Additional step: reboot the Mac. Your iPad should give the first indication that it has worked by asking you to "trust this computer" or some such. Agree. Then iTunes should have reopened with your iPad showing and syncing. -

Ipad won't synch after restore
I have noticed that the only way to address my wifi issues on my iPad, is to do a reset of all settings and then restore from a backup through iTunes. So when I tried to do that last time, the first part, the restore of the iPad works fine, but after automatIc restart, when iTunes is supposed to put all the media and apps back on my iPad, iTunes doesn't recognize my iPad as a restored one, and instead says welcome to your new iPad again.
All software is updated, I have tried multiple times, restarted my computer etc. Very frustrating since now I have an iPad without all my apps and media, and which iTunes won't recognize.
Anyone have any tips? Thx.Thanks,
so hat so what is happening is that after the initial restore and restart, it should start synching and putting all apps and media on there. However, in this case, that second part doesn't happen, iTunes still says 'welcome to your new iPad'. When I click restore from backup that second time, same thing happens, it does a restore in about 10 mins, but then never synchs. When I unplug it, it has all my settings but just the 'basic/apple' apps (mail, safari, messages). When I plug it back in, it treads it like a new iPad, and want to restore from a backup.
I feel a little bit like the movie 'Groundhog Day', stuck in the same circle. I have done many iPhone or iPad restore but never had this problem. -
New iPad won't activate after resetting
iPad won't activate thru iTunes after erasing all content and settings. iPad is back at the Welcome screen like when it was new, but go thru iTunes to set it up and no activation.
Can't activate by signing in.
I can't even get to that point. After I enter a wifi password the iPad goes to activate and that's where everything stops with: Can not activate a this time. Please try again later. I've tried a million and 6 times, there is no later...
Also noticed that the serial# listed for the iPad in iTunes is N/A. After a few minutes of trying it gives me the above message. It also shows a lock near the message in iTunes. This shows that somehow the iPad is still locked after I erased all data and wanted to completely start from scratch? -
Ipad won't start after updating to ios 8.1.3
My iPad was working without issue prior to updating to IOS 8.1.3 yesterday. After updating, not only would the ipad not start, it produced intermittent tones. The tone heard when device is plugged into an outlet for charging.
I attempted to turn the device off but it would not respond. Afterwards, a reboot was attempted numerous times by holding the home and sleep buttons down simultaneously. Once the Apple logo appeared the buttons were released, the logo disappeared but the device remained dormant.
While connected to iTunes and emitting the connection tones, periodically the splash screen would appear momentarily then turn off. I was able to swipe the screen on one of these occasions. The device worked properly until it was turned off after use at which time it would not turn on again and remains unable to turn on. It does not respond to attempts to turn it off or rebooting.
Prior to the update I did backup the device in case something like this would occur. Since I appear to have exhausted all my options to get the device to work, I feel the only remaining option is to restore it to factory default. I would appreciate advice from anyone who may either have experienced this same issue and found a resolution, or can provide thoughts on how I should proceed please.
If I proceed with a restore to factory default followed by a restore of the most recent backup, will I lose any data during this process? This will be my first time to erase a device so any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. I would, of course, prefer an alternative resolution. Thanks in advance for your help.
tonyHello, Tony.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I understand that your iPad no long starts after an update and you have a backup for your iPad. It sounds like you will need to restore the device to factory and then will have the option to access your backup after the restore complete. The only information that should be missing would be after the backup was completed until the device is restored. I have included the steps for going through this process in the articles below.

IPad won't start after iOS7 upgrade and reset
Hi,
I have just tried to upgrade to iOS7 through WiFi. No luck. So I upgraded via iTunes. When it finally was finished, I tried to turn on my iPad, but it wouldn't. It gets stuck at the Apple logo with a loading bar just under it. I did a full reset on iTunes and I can only get to the loading bar (which won't load).. Any suggestions?I was experiencing the same thing. This article worked for me, hopefully it will help you.
http://ipad.about.com/od/iPad_Troubleshooting/ss/What-To-Do-When-Your-Ipad-Wo-No t-Turn-On.htm
Hold both the home button and the wake/suspend button down at the same time. You should see the Apple logo appear on your screen after holding these buttons down a couple of seconds, which means your iPad is booting up and should be good to go in a few more seconds. -
My iPad Won't Rotate after updating to iOS 6.
After updating to iOS 6, my iPad2 won't auto rotate. I already checked if the rotation was locked, so this isn't the case. I tried restarting it and rebooting it. The only possible way to rotate the screen is to turn off the iPad, rotate the iPad, then turn on the iPad again. Please help me, I don't know how to fix this problem.
I had same problem post upgrade to iOS 6.1.3
I went to
[Setting] [General] and set the
[Use_Side_Switch_To] option from [Rotation ...] to [Mute]
Checked switch by manually flipping the button on iPad cover (next to volume) back and forth and seeing images of mute actions appear sceen centre
But on checking further not all apps rotated automatically ... so ...
Manually closed all open apps by:
Screen button x2 in quick succession bottom bar appears with all active apps
Touch and hold on of these apps in this bar untill the x appears on them and the wobble
Close each one down by touching x
Then
Rebooted ( ... just like a Microsoft machine :-)
Now all working working ... boy you really miss that feature when its not functioning ...
Dont know if all steps relevant but this is what worked for me ...
... best of luck

Ipad won't print after io7 even tho it finds printer, tried everything pls help!
I'm guessing, but it seems that after updating with io7 my ipad/printer won't print! It finds the printer no problem ( it's an HP office jet 6500A plus) but nothing happens when I press print! I've tried through different apps, turning router. Ipad and printer off then on again and reset network settings on both ipad and printer but to no avail!! I can find my way around ipad basics but am no techie, so am hoping it's something simple and I'm just being blonde...or is it a flaw with the io7? Any advice much appreciated! Than you :)
Hello Stormie9,
Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing when printing from your iPad. You have taken some really good steps already to isolate and troubleshoot the issue.
I found an additional resource with a few more steps. You can skip any steps you have already taken, but step 3 specifically stands out for the issue you described:
If you are unable to print, or if you see the message "No AirPrint Printers Found"
Verify that the printer:
Has power and is turned on. If it has power, turn the printer off and then on again to see if that resolves the issue.
Is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the iOS device.
Has the latest firmware version installed.
Has paper with enough ink or toner installed.
Is free of any errors displayed on the printer's control panel.
If necessary, consult the printer documentation or contact the printer vendor for help with the above steps.

Ipad won't sync after iOS 7.03 update: Other is huge and over capacity
When iOS7 was updated last week (7.0.3) the update went fine on my iphone 5s but was interupted on my iPad.
Now, when I connect the iPad via cable to my desktop Mac, it will not sync. It connects to the iPad just fine, but the "changes" cannot be applied because it shows that the amount of data to be transfered to the 64GB iPad is "Over Capactiy by 31.37GB." A total of 45.2GB of "Other" is indicated on the summary page in iTunes in a yellow band.
(A sync from the same ID, same iTunes library with the same settings, with the iPhone 5S of the same capacity (64GB) has NO trouble completing properly. It shows only 1.62 GB of "Other."
I have tried restoring the iPad from a previous back up. No good.
I have tried restoring the iPad to a new, factory issued condition, set it up as if it were a new iPad and tried to sync. No good.
I have changed the sync setting so that NO video or audio tracks are to be synced (freeing enough space for all of the bloated, "Other" category.) Stiill ends up stuck perpetually in Syncing iPad - Step 4 of 4 - "Waiting for changes to be applied"
Any suggestions?
SERIOUSLY frustrated.I am having the exact same issue except with the iPhone 4s.
"Other" shows 34.88GB
I tried everything you did, short of factory reset, since I read elsewhere that won't work.
