Have you tried the 5Rs?
try to rest-by holding the menu and the center button for a few seconds. Then try to re-charge it.

There were. Not much, but a single card which illustrated the iPad and labelled the buttons, and on the reverse gave instructions under the headings "set up, sync, and charge", and under the heading "Learn more" gave links to www.apple.com/iPad, help.apple.com/iPad, www.apple.com/support/iPad, and www.apple.com/support/manuals/iPad.
But you wouldn't have noticed, as you were too excited at the time. Like everybody else. ::sigh::

Ther does seem to be quite a lot of comments about this issue
It seems the charger is a little slow and takes upto 4 hours to charge
closing all apps and leave the ipod in standby seems to off the best charging experience

In my view apple should have included a better charger for the price, the new 12w adaptor will reduce the charge time and resolve you problem, however its about $15

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I am having trouble getting past the low battery icon on my ipad (1st one).It starts charging displaying the low battery icon and then switches off completely until I press the home button it shows the same icon again and then i go through the same cycle over and over again.

Your battery has probably failed and needs replacement (see link below).
Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)

its telling me my ipod is in disk mode... i reformatted it and it showed up in itunes and i thought great... but i disconnected it and reconnected it and then it tells me i need to reformat it again?? and all the music gets deleted again....
and before all this it was working ok until i put on my 5th album then it jus stopped workin and then put itself in disk mode
so in conclusion.. i cant put any music on my ipod cuz its not showing up in itunes and wen i unplug it.. it tells me i need to connect it to a computer.. and the restore tells me theres sum kinda invalid firmware or disk error

I had a similar problem, but it seems I've found the fix. I see you have an Acer as well, if it's a notebook I bet it'll work for you too. (I'm on a Acer Travelmate)

That's strange. It's possible that you are having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is changing your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal? Also have you tried uninstalling & re-installing flash? Are you using an iPad charger? it can be very easy to accidentally use an iPhone one. But the iPad charger puts out 10-12W while the iPhone one only 5W.
If you are using an iPad charger you can swap outlets and, if possible, swap cords and charger. If the problem persists then I'd call your local apple store and make an appointment and have them check it out.

A number of users have reported this issue and the only thing that I have seen that seems to fix it is to restore the iOS software. Backup your iPad, restore to factory settings and then restore the backup.
