HT4060 My ipad has stopped charging

I was at my friends house and my iPad would not charge but they were having power surges so I put it down to that. The next morning I went to my grandma and grandad's where I also toyed to charge my iPad but then I realised there was either something wrong with my iPad or the charger I've been researching and I've found a quote saying that you shouldn't leave your iPad on charge through the night I was not aware of this and I have reason to think that, that could be the fault.

Troubleshoot
1. Try a reset
2. Clean docking port with clean tooth brush
3. Try another wall socket
4. Try another cable (make sure it's an original Apple cable)
5. Try another charger (make sure it's an original Apple charger)

  • Ipad has stopped charging properly

My Ipad has always charged really quickly. I am using an apple plug & wire not an imitation. I tried a new wire & that is the same (again a genuine apple product) both wires charge my iPhone 5s really quickly & previously i have found the same with my ipad but since the last update it's just like it is draining too quickly. Even being charged overnight it only charges to around 50 - 70%. Put it in airplane mode to charge it quicker because i read it helps but that only got it to around 90% overnight. I have tried everything i can & haven't downloaded anything new & have stopped everything running to see if it's an app causing the problem. Please can anyone help. I have tried to chat to someone from apple but it's asking for £25 which i think is disgusting with how much my ipad cost me.

sometimes it can be little things like notifications - settings>notification center - go to include section and anything internet related click on the icon for the app - and turn off show in notification center - these things may possibly be trying to connect to internet several times a day looking for stuff to notify you about - make sure that you quit out apps which it sounds like you do - double tap home and swipe up on the windows - make sure bluetooth is off when not in use - a bad wifi connection can overwork it too

  • Help my ipad has stopped charging, it does charge but very very slowly, like 1% an hour

My ipad has suddenly stopped charging, I've tried different leads and plugs but nothings working

How are you charging it? It's charged best with its supplied power brick plugged into the wall. If it's a full sized iPad they do not charge well off USB ports.
If you're doing that, try giving your iPad  a rest. Hold down the sleep and home keys until you see the silver apple. Let it reboot and try again.
If the issue persists, swap out the power brick, cord, outlet to confirm or rule out those parts as being the issue. If it continues beyond that then you may have something wrong with your iPad and you should make an appointment at your local apple store to have them check it out.

  • HT4060 my ipad has been charging for days and not taking the charge what else can be wrong.?

i have an apple i pad 16 gb...i have it charging for days and its not taking the charge what else can i try...

Could be the charger, cable or the iPad.
Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
And this - Unplug the charger from the iPad and then replug. May resume charging.
Or - Recalibrate the battery. See link below.
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W (5W on Mini) USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.
How to Calibrate Your Mac, iPhone, or iPad Battery
    http://www.macblend.com/how-to-calibrate-your-mac-iphone-or-ipad-battery/
At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. In rare instances when using the Camera Connection Kit, you may notice that iPad does not charge after using the Camera Connection Kit. Disconnecting and reconnecting the iPad from the charger will resolve this issue.

  • My ipad2 has stopped charging. Have replaced cable and adaptor without any help. Looks the internal dock connector has got damaged. What do i do? Its only 18 months old.

My ipad 2 is 18 months old and has stopped charging. Have reolaced cable and adaptor without any help. Looks internal dock connector has got damaged.  What is the solution.

It'll be an out of warranty replacement since accidental damage isnt' covered by the factory warranty.
    http://www.apple.com/support/ipad/
contact support and make an appointment at your local apple store. The out of warranty replacement fee for an iPad 2 starts at 249 and goes up. So another option for you may be if your money is better invested in a new  device that will have a longer life.

  • TS3274 My iPad has stopped finding any wifi networks

My iPad has stopped finding wifi networks

Check to see that you are using the cable and charger that came with the iPad, especially the charger itself. If you are trying to charge using the PC, it's USB ports are likely not capable of delivering enough current to properly charge the iPad.

  • My iPhone 5c has stopped charging what should I do

Either my iPhone 5c has stopped charging or both of my chargers are broke please help me

There's no FaceTime icon and no app since it's built-in.
All you need is Wi-Fi and a connection to another iPod Touch 4 Gen, iPad 2, iPhone 4 & 4S and Mac
Go to your contacts and find a friend that also has the Apple devices and Wi-Fi then tap faceTime.

  • A magazine's app on my iPad has stopped working.  When I open the Newsstand folder and click on the app, the screen dims briefly, then returns to the Newsstand folder. The other app in my Newsstand folder (Wall Street Journal) opens without any problem.

A magazine's app on my iPad has stopped working.  When I open the Newsstand folder and click on the app, the screen dims briefly, then returns to the Newsstand folder. The other app in my Newsstand folder (Wall Street Journal) opens without any problem, and this magazine's app opens just fine on my wife's iPad.
I have deleted the app and reinstalled it from the Apple store and that makes no difference.  I have also done a hard reboot on my iPad with no result.
Any thoughts about what might be wrong?

    Hey everyone in Apple world!
I figured out how to fix the flashing yellow screen problem that I've been having on my MBP!  Yessssss!!!
I found this super handy website with the golden answer: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1379
I followed the instructions on this page and here's what I did:
    Resetting NVRAM / PRAM
    Shut down your Mac.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
    Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
    Release the keys.
I went through the 6 steps above twice, just to make sure I got rid of whatever stuff was holding up my bootup process.  Since I did that, my MBP boots up just like normal.  No flashing yellow screen anymore!!
(Note that I arrived at this solution when I first saw this page: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2570?viewlocale=en_US)
Let me know if this works for you!

My ipad has stopped connecting to wifi, a reset hasn't worked, what else can I try? (the wifi is fine as other apple products connect ok)

Have you tried a 'hard reset'. You do not lose any of your data on the iPad.
    Here are the steps:
Press the Power Buton and the Home button simultaneously.
Continue to hold down both buttons until the iPad shuts off
Release the buttons when the Apple Logo appears.
Also, make sure your iPad is not in airplane mode. Settings, Airplane mode is the first option under settings,
    Hope this helps.

My Ipad has stopped receiving emails today. It has IOS7 on it. The settings are correct but says "connection to the server failed" help!
It is the same accout that has been working find for years and just after I updated the software this has happened. My Mac is still receiving and sending via Outlook with the same account and settings. My Iphone 5C has also stopped and I tried deleting the account and adding again (via exchange as it's an exchange accout) the same way I always do and it won't even recognise it to add the settings.
    So annoying. Can anyone help?

  • My ipad has stopped updating apps. It doesn't even ask for password, it just oges to the apps screen showing empty progress bars. I've re-synced account and restarted but with no luck. Other than deleting the apps is there anyway around this?

    OK. I will work backwards.
You certainly don't want to have to delete apps every time that they need an update, for any number of reasons. Losing data first and foremost would be a drag, but the overall hassle would be absurd. All things being equal, you should be able to update apps in the future after you delete them and reinstall them. I delete and reinstall apps all the time and I am also able to update them when updates are available for the apps. I just wanted to know if you had any success in any fashion installing apps.
Resyncing/refreshing the Apple ID/iTunes account wouldn't seem to be the issue either if you can download apps or other content from the iStores. Your ID is being accepted.
That leaves us with I'm not sure what. But I think I would try this trick fix and see if it helps.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time>Set Automatically>Off. Set the date one year ahead. Try to update the apps again. If you get an error message, go back to the settings. Correct the date and time (set automatically) then go back and try to update the apps again.
