HT4060 when i am connecting ipad to hp laptop it not saying not charging it is charging its not browsing files

the usb connections on most laptops are not strong enough to trigger the charging symbol on the pad. It is charging - just real slowly. If you leave it connected long enough, you will see the charge creep up. The best and fastest way to charge is to use the included wall unit that came with the pad.
not sure what your question is regarding browsing files. Make sure the laptop has the current version of Itunes for windows, and you can sync, and transfer files, music abd pictures etc via i tunes.

That message means that you have to restore the iPad now. There was a problem with the update. So connect the iPad to your computer and restore your iPad.

Disconnect the USB cable from the iPad, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off iPad: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for iPad to turn off.
If you cannot turn off iPad using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the iPad turns off, release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to iPad. When you reconnect the USB cable, iPad should power on.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears you can release the Home button.
If necessary, open iTunes. You should see the recovery mode alert that iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode.
Use iTunes to restore iPad. -
VERY FRUSTRATED!!! Downloaded latest itunes on my PC, connected ipad 2, registered device. It says follow onscreen instructions. What instructions. When I turn on my ipad I get an itunes icon with an arrow and a connector cord. Can anyone help me???

Okay, then what you will need to do is plug your ipad back into your friends computer; you may have to sync it with his computer, but thats okay. When it is plugged in, click the update button. This will take about an hour, maybe more if your friend has slow internet. Once it is updated, reset your ipad. When your ipad is reset, sign into your apple id. You can now use a feature called icloud (brand new in ios 5) to download all of your apps and music you purchased back to your ipad. You may lose some things if they were not purchased from apple, but is is better than not being able to use it at all (I think).
If you already have ios5, then this is unnecessary (it says you are using an ipad running ios4) -

My just bought ipad with retinal display 32G, screen frozen at one of game my son play. Now I can't turn off ipad, I can log in ipad. I connect ipad to my apple computer, message say I need to unlock the ipad, the problem is I can't even get to ipad home screen to unlock or enter the password. Basically, my ipad is dead. First, I've read the manual. This new Nano won't sync and won't charge. Itunes does recognize the device. When it's connected to a Windows PC, the battery indictor shows charged. When it's not connected, the indicator shows no charge. I've tried this on two PCS without success.
Maybe the Nano you got is defective. Have it replaced.

Did you totally erase the device and not restore from a backup? If you totally erased the device and set up as new, the passcode should not be on the device. -
When I sync my iPad with iTunes it does not update my play counts. Is there a way to make this happen?
Are you using iTunes Match by chance? I had no problems whatsoever with play counts synching between any of my devices until I started using iTunes Match. I turned it off and magically my play counts synced. Once. Hasn't happened again though.

Hi i have an I pod and i had used it as hard disk also. Now when ever i connect it with my Laptop it shows restore to factory setting....i wanted to knwo is there any way i can save the data which i had already stored in the I pod. I dont want to loose that data???
