I am hoping someone can help. I have a Blackberry Q10 (work phone) and yesterday i downloaded the software update. I didnt notice any issues but when it rebooted it just froze on the home screen (i can see the time /wallpaper etc but cannot make any swipe gestures to move from this screen) I have tried re-booting/taking the battery out etc. I left the battery out last night and this morning plugged the phone into my laptop- that did occasionally free up the swipe function and i can occasionally get into BBM and Text (which are both working) but I can no longer view my email (i can see them in the hub but not read the actual message) and i cannot access my contacts or make or receive any calls. The phone still keeps freezing on the home page (it seems to free up momentarily if i connect to my laptop). the battery is draining very fast also. I am not very tech savvy at all, can anyone help me? (my phone provider is BT) Thanks N

Anyone? Battery has now completely drained and will only work if plugged into my laptop (it was charging yesterday)

Phone stuck at logo screen after ios7 update error

help! when trying to update to ios7 i got an unknown error. Now my iphone 5 is stuck at the black apple loading screen

I've encountered the same problem with my iPhone 4, part way through updating to ios7 amessage came up on my computer "itunes has encountered an error and needs to shut down" I'm now left with the apple symbol with a line underneath it on my phone. iteunes doesn't recognise that my phone is plugged into the computer nor can I switch my phone off.
Any suggestions?

iOS 7 prompts you to create a passcode after you update. You can skip this step but the option to skip is not prominent.
Do you remember the passcode you set?
If not or if it is already disabled then:
Forgotten Passcode or device disabled after entering wrong passcode

No that’s probably what I’ll do. I'm thinking the guys at the apple store can only do basic technical support since most of them are sales people that don't know how to physically repair phones. It seems kinda silly that, as fine as a product the iPhone is, when something like this happens they just tell you to replace the entire device without doing any proper diagnostic. If it was any other phone you could simply take it to a cell phone repair shop and they'll usually fix it. It’s almost as though Apple assumes their products will never fail so that when they do, the only solution is to replace the entire device at a cost higher then it would be if it was just a simple fix. So hopefully the local cell repair shop can do something instead of having to replace the entire phone. I'll accept the fact if I have to replace it after taking it to a few places and having some real technicians look at it, instead of a 5 minute trial and error diagnostic done by a sales associate at the apple store being quick to tell me that the phone is useless and has to be replace for several hundreds of dollars.

I've tried to update the iOS for my iPhone 5S thru wifi, but it was failure. The next day my phone cannot be turned on. Plugging the phone into iTunes and said I cannot update the iOS, and required me to restore it back to factory setting - while i try to do that, it said there is error occured and cannot allow me to restore it to factory setting! I scheduled an appointment and bring the phone to Apple store, once they know the error code is 2009, they ask me to buy a replacement phone at $269. What did I do? Failure update iOS is not my problem, and now it ask me to buy another phone? My phone is still good, no damage and not even falling on the floor once! I keep it in perfect condition and they said my phone has HARDWARE problem. Ridiculous!!

Hi Just try this once more Turn iPhone off Connect lead to usb on PC Press & hold power button down DONOT let go Connect lead to iPhone keep power button pressed until you see iPhone on your PC. Good luck. Brian

Also, when I tried to Restore the settings, an Error Message pops up that says " The iPhone software update server could not be contacted. The requested resource was not found.
I'm trying to free up space on my phone by removing [literally] thousands of old photos which were originally synched to the phone, because I had forgotten to uncheck the photos button when I synched it ages ago.
I have also tried synching it on my 24" iMac (running OSX Snow Leopard). But again, when I try restoring the phone through itunes, it says the file is corrupted. It sggests unplugging the device, and then plugging it in again. I have done this numerous times with no success.
I'm guessing it must be because my phone (and versions of iTunes, and OSX) are all too old.
Please can anybody help.

4.0.2 upgrade on 3GS and phone dead in five hours! Help!

I have had this done to me once on my OG iphone after a update...I hooked it up got an update after being fully chaged and went to complete black screen would not turn on or reseted...I tried hooking it back up with no results, which usually worked if black screen ever occured. Finally I had to play the waiting game let my battery completly drain and than plug it up than by magice it appeared on.

I have an iPhone 5 with Sprint. The problem started yesterday when the iOS7 update was available for download. My phone shows that I am connected to our Wi-Fi but Safari pages won't load, apps will not open, and social site's newsfeeds wont update. If I turn off then turn on the Wi-FI, it will work for a few seconds but then lose connection. Same thing happens if I turn on/off the phone and if I switch it to airplane mode and back. We have televisions that work with Wi-Fi and they seem to be doing just fine. Is there anyone else experiencing this? try resetting your phone by turning it off and back on again. Also try resetting your network settings under Settings > General > Reset >reset Network Settings.

Try disabling a/v software and turn off the Firewall on your PC.
Disable antivirus software
Turn-Windows-Firewall-on-or-off
Then connect the iPod to your computer. Launch iTunes. If your computer still won't recognize the iPod check out this article.

Once your iPod is functioning again, with it connected to your computer, launch iTunes. Select the iPod under Devices in the source list on the left.
Select the box next to: Open iTunes when this iPhone is connected
That way iTunes should open automatically when you connect your iPod to your computer.
And iTunes / Preferences - Devices. You can have your iPod sync automatically whenever it's connected from the Devices pane.

If you are getting the repeated prompts of asking to authorize your Apple ID, then check out the article below to resolve the issue. Make sure that you go through and remove the SC Info folder and try to authorizer again as that resolved it for me when I had that issue.
