Does iPad MIni with Retina Display 128 GB Wi-Fi Cellular has Flash Light ?

No, it does not. There are some apps which will turn the screen white so you can use that as a flashlight, but it does not have an LED camera flash.

I tested them side-by-side in Apple Store today and after the same 10 apps loaded, I didn't feel significant speed gain from iPad Air and iPad Mini with Retina Display from my New iPad.
I wonder what Processing Speed and Built-in Memory do the iPad Air and the iPad Mini with Retina Display have.
Can someone who has upgraded give any feedback?

    Thanks Diavonex.

My iPad Mini with retina display suddenly will not connect to the Internet. It shows full wifi bars, yet no web pages will load. My Internet is working with all other apple devices in my house. The iPad also no longer works with celluar data. I'm not sure what has happened. It was working fine a few hours ago. I have tried resetting it, ive restarted my browser etc. I tried to erase all data from my Ipad but I can't do that because it needs to sign into my Apple ID and use the Internet!

    Some things to try first:
    1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
    2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
    3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
    4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
    5.  Renew IP Address: (especially if you are drooping internet connection)
        •    Launch Settings app
        •    Tap on Wi-Fi
        •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
        •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

  • What is better for college? An iPad air or an iPad mini with retina display?

I'm currently a junior in high school and I'll be graduating in the summer of 2015. My parents, well mostly dad, are planning on buying me the iPad air with 128 GB of memory. I got curious and went to look at the price and compare models and I saw that the iPad mini with retina display was the same as the iPad air, the only difference is the size. Since I saw that it was cheaper I was thinking on telling my parents to buy me that instead of the iPad air because it is more costy and my family isn't really the rich kind of people. I will be only using the iPad for school and nothing else since I have my iPod to play games on and stuff so it will only be used for purely educational purposes. Plus I've been hearing around that the iPad air is not that great and stuff because it has a bigger screen and such. Personally for me, I do not care about the screen size I just care about the price for my parents' sake because I don't like it when they have to spend a lot of money. So can you please help me decide on which to get and why it would be better than the other? Please and thank you.

  • Safari crashing on iPad mini (with retina display).

I'm a 4 month owner of the iPad mini (with retina display). I really find it really disgusting that Apple knows their Safari (and other browsers Mercury & Chrome) on the iPad without warning keep crashing to the home screen. IOS 7.1. Apple exchanged my tablet for they said a new one? However, as soon as I started using it (an hour later) at home same thing, CRASH CRASH CRASH NO APPS INSTALLED!!!  There are reports of the same crashing also on the i5's...
I'm also on the web looking for a tablet replacement that does not require me to buy an app so I can view all flash without have to find a work around...

  • Ipad mini with retina display has really slow and laggy streaming but very high download speed

I just got my ipad mini with retina display yesterday. The regular internet works fine as far as I can tell. I tried streaming video from watch espn, netflix, and youtube, and all three apps were so slow I couldn't watch anything. I have a high download speed too, it is 15 Mbps. I tried turning off the QOS engine in my router, and my download speed was up to 30 Mbps, and I still had the same terrible streaming quality. I tried changing the DNS as well, and this did nothing. I tried doing all the restarting and other "quick fixes," and nothing seems to work. Can anybody help me?

I requested your post be moved to the iPad forum. This is the Mac Mini desktop forum

  • How to load pictures from a camera onto iPad mini with retina display

Any tips on how to upload pictures from a camera onto my iPad mini with retina display (besides emailing them)? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

If your camera pictures are stored on an SD Card you could purchase a lightning to SD Card adapter..
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD822ZM/A/lightning-to-sd-card-camera-reader?f ind=Sd+lightning
You could also get the pix to your computer then copy them to an SD Card, if your computer sports an SD Card reader.
Then use the lightning to SD Card reader..
Lots of cameras use SD Card for storage, mine does..

  • Crash in Ipad Mini with Retina Display

Hi, I hope this would draw Apple concern and fix the problem ASAP. I experience the great apps, smooth, camera, music and everything on Apple when I first had my Apple product which is ipad 3,  I really love Apple' s ipad. From  iOS 5-6, I never experience any crash or lag with my ipad 3 and even graphic intense game run smoothly. However after I upgrade my ipad 3 to the much anticipated ios7 , lag occur when I switch between window and crash for safari browser occur frequently. I decided to get an ipad mini with retina display since it is more portable to carry around and easier for my studies, but it is very disappointing experience for the new ipad mini which claim to have A7 and 64 bits and I do experience frequent crash on  safari browser and Facebook apps. Besides that, it is not pleasant to have application force close when playing games. Next  my ipad mini will experience reboot sometimes when I m using it. Hope Apple will fix this problem in coming new updates because I expect Apple have better user experience than android does! Thank you!

No,my ipad mini retina didn't have experience like yours. But my ipad mini retina always lag problems when i'm playing a games. Like Amazing spiderman 2, Gta San Andreas,DEUS EX. Maybe u guys have same problem with me?
Anyone know how to fix this lagging problem?
I Tough ispt's because IOS 7 not going well in ipad mini retina. If u guys know how to fix it please tell me.
I'd restart my ipad sync my ipad but its still happen.

  • IPad Mini with Retina Display

I bought a new iPad Mini with Retina Display and the only charger that seems to work is the one it came with. Any other lightning chargers I have bought (including a 30 pin to 8 pin connector) won't charge. Not only is it annoying to have a 3ft cable to charge, but it's annoying to have only one cord.
Does anyone know why the other chargers won't work?

The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W (5W on Mini) USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.
How to Calibrate Your Mac, iPhone, or iPad Battery
    http://www.macblend.com/how-to-calibrate-your-mac-iphone-or-ipad-battery/
At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. • IPad Mini with Retina Display's Volume Down button sticks, have to press really hard to make it unstick and then decrease volume level. Anyone else seeing this issue?

When trying to press the physical down volume button on my iPad mini with Retina Display, it sticks making you have to press really hard before it unsticks then allows you to decrease the volume level. Not sure if this is a common issue and not sure if its worth a genius appointment but it does seem to be getting worse. Anyone having this issue or know a fix? Thanks

Thanks for letting me know, I will have AppleCare arrange a replacement rather than getting a new retail box. I find the replacements are usually better quality when it is a new product. The AppleCare team said they wouldn't be sending a refurbished/repaired handset this early which gives me some confidence.
My home button does feel different and definatley sounds different but from what people have said this is normal. Someone posted a video of their and it was the same as mine so I'm not concerned.

  • My iPad Mini with Retina Display doesn't turn on.

I have an iPad Mini with Retina Display and I have tried charging it every way I know how. I have a 13" MacBook Pro retina and that didn't charge the device nor did the original 10W charger that came with the iPad. Nothing works to charge it and it doesn't turn on. I don't recall the battery being anywhere near 0% the last time I used it either which also seems odd. Does anyone know why this could be happening or do I need to m

Plug your device into the original charger & block in a wall outlet and leave it alone for a couple of hours. Then, while it is still plugged in, restart it by holding down the home button and the power button for 10-15 seconds until you see the Apple, then let go.

  • IPad Mini with Retina Display 128gb speed

    Hi there!
I have just gotten my new iPad Mini with Retina Display 128gb a couple of days ago. I wanted to know does the capacity affects the performance or speed of the iPad Mini? Meaning is 128gb speed is slower than 64gb one? Your thoughts are deeply appreciated!

Well I don't think is the app problem, since yesterday I already called my country apple customer centre, they told me to reset all setting for my device, the problem is then solve, my anomaly 2 not even lag anymore, and they call me observe 24 hours see how the device work. At first the device work well and no lag anymore for my other game and anomaly 2 too, but after a night, this morning when I wake up, the problem is occurring again, my anomaly 2 is lag as before >_< so I make a call and they call me to restore factory setting, then after restore, the problem solve again , but still I had to observe few more days, if same thing happen again, then they will call me send back my ipad to give them double check and if the device got problem , they promised me will exchange the new one for me ~ will keep update see how after a few day~

  • IPad Mini with retina display acting funny

My iPad Mini with retina display's screen is acting funny. It isn't cracked, but the bottom half keeps flickering and has green line running through it. It also has a bit of a milky color to it, and you can see small, individual white lines. Would I be able to get my screen replaced? If so, how much would it cost?

    Hey there Allicat18,
It sounds like you are seeing some unexpected activity when using your iPad Mini. I would start with resetting the device with these steps:
To reset, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset

  • Is the ipad mini 2 the same as the ipad mini with retina display?

I see an ipad mini 2 and an ipad mini with retina display.  Is it the same unit called 2 different ways?

Yes, and no. Basically the iPad Mini has currently 3 generations.
The Second and Third generations also called iPad Mini 2 and 3, have Retina Displays. The First generation one, does not.
So it could be referring to either, but most likely it does in fact refer to the iPad Mini 2.  (or second generation) that does feature a Retina Display.
