I have a griffin case on my Ipad2 I cannot see my seriel #, Also cannot sign in to see seriel #. I am asked to type a passcode..I have no idea what it is and I never set one up. I need to get back on my ipad. Everytime I make a wrong entry it has told me disabled until 60 minutes....????really??

Recovery Mode:
1. Turn off iPad
2. Connect USB cable to computer; leave the other end alone
3. Press and hold the Home button down and connect the docking end of cable to iPad
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect To iTune" screen
5. Release the Home button
6. Open iTune
7. You should see "iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode"
8. Use iTune to restore iPad
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times to recover your iPad

There are three things you can do.
1) Type 0000. That is normally the standard passcode, or try 1234.
2) Do a reset by holding the on/off and home buttons together until the Apple logo appears.

I've been trying to find a common denominator. It happens inconsistently. It never happened before the Denim update. When it does occur, the screen goes black immediately upon answering the call and doesn't come back until the call is ended by the calling party.
I thought it might be the proximity sensor, but when it's working normally I can see the screen go dark when it's at my ear and comes back when I take it away (tried it multiple times). I had Gestures Beta installed. I wondered if that could have an affect so I uninstalled it, but that didn't make any difference. I'm still stumped by the inconsistency. In what way are you receiving this message? It is very common to get an email telling you that your ID has been disabled, and asking you to confirm all your details so the sender can steal your identity online.....

That's usually a symptom of a phone that was hacked or jailbroken to unlock it.

I have Adobe Acrobat Professional installed as part of a legal copy of CS3 Web on a Dell Lattitude D830 with Vista Business SP1. I have been using Acrobat without a problem until the latest update (8.1.2). After the installation I now get "A serious error has been detected and Adobe EPIC_APP cannot continue. Please reinstall the application and try again".
PS I opened Photoshop, Dreamweaver and other programs in the suite and do not have a problem. A search on the forums and Google shows other people with the same problem but no solution. Any suggestions?

An answer I found on Yahoo seems to solve the problem. I'm leaving it here in case someone else has the same problem:
Uninstall.
Reboot.
Install with Admin privileges ( right-click on setup.exe >Properties>Compatability Tab> Select Run as Admin)
Run it at least once from an admin account so it has access to Shell32.dll and can set the proper settings.

The difficulty is you have to unencrypt during the restore process, which you cannot do with an Android device.
