We can likely help, but we do not know what device that you are asking about....or....what version of AirPort Utility that you have on your computer.
(Normally, we would know things like this, but our crystal ball is broken).

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
You can't do that, you'll need to change the password on your Wi-Fi and then change the settings on the Apple TV to log into your network again using the new password.

Sorry, but if you have forgotten the password for your encrypted backup, you'll have to start all over again:
Make sure that the password you use is one that you'll remember. If you encrypt an iPhone backup in iTunes and forget your password, you won't be able to restore from backup, and your data will be unrecoverable.
If you can't remember the password and want to start again, you must perform a full software restore and choose set up as a new device when iTunes prompts you to select the backup from which to restore.

I want to change the password

you can change the password of <sid>adm user without any issues
just check the SAP services through services.msc and check with what user it is maintained. It must be with SAPserviceSID,if it is with <sid>adm then you will need to change the password here
else there must be no impact

I forgot my security questions, now Im locked out of my account. How can I log in. I just wanted to change my password

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, and filling out and submitting this form.

  • How do i change the password on itunes back up

How can I change the password when I have forget my old one. It is the one next to yhe  back up and testore back upafter you click on itunes. Please any help, as I have tried all the ones I know & use.

If on a Mac, and you elected to save such to your Keychain, you can recover it from your Keychain. Otherwise, you can't.
While you can continue to sync/backup, if you can't remember it & want to remove it, you'll have to delete your existing backups & restore the phone as a new device. Your data will be unrecoverable.
You can also search for a commercial backup passcode cracker. I have no experience with any, thus cannot make a recommendation.

  • I just bought a new iMAC. I want to change the password, but the system is not accepting any old passwords.  How do I reset this, so that I can set a password?

I just bought a new iMAC.  I want to set a password.  But, the system seems to think I already have one set, and I don't know what it is.  How do I reset this feature, so that I can set a password, without knowing the current password?

Have you yet, during setting up the new iMac, transferred old data and settings from an external hard drive or another computer?  If so, then your computer obtained its current set Password from that tranfer, so you would have to determine what that Password was in the old system.  If you have Not transferred any information that way, then the installation and/or setup seem to have corrupted somehow since it hasn't yet received a new system Password selection from you.
At this point, if you can, you can reboot while holding down the Command - R keys to boot into the Mountain Lion Recovery Partition.  There you can select to "Reinstall Mountain Lion from the Internet".  This will overwrite your current installation and any problems that have occured and give you a fresh install that hopefullywill allow you to set up without problems.

  • I just want to change my password please

i am rather slow on computer matters, when i bought the computer, there was a password already loaded, that is when i first open it, but i understand it is necessary to have a separate password for email. I can open the email address ok, but just cant find the right place to change the email password, any thoughts on this will be welcomed, thanking you in anticipation

Let me be clear.... you do not create a new password in Thunderbird. All it does is record your password and use it on your behalf to get mail.
So the password your trying to change is administered by your mail provider, whether that be Comcast, British telecom or Google. It is from their web pages you change your password, and then when Thunderbird tells you the password is has is not valid you type in the new one and click the save option.
    Clear as Mud :)

  • IPhone 5, backup on computer is password protected, forgot password, still have phone, just want to reset the password so i can create a new backup!

    I have an iPhone 5.
At some point, I backed it up to my PC, with a password.
    I have forgotten the password.
    I still have the phone.
I can no longer back it up to the PC.
I want to wipe the backup, password, etc, and start again.
    Surely that can't be impossible!

Thanks both - do you think it's worth giving this a shot?

Once iTunes is set to encrypt iPhone backups, switching this feature off requires the password. What if the password is forgotten or unknown? You can still reset iTunes to make a fresh backup without encryption. Follow these steps to uncheck Encrypt iPhone backup:
Perform these steps at your own risk!
    1. Delete any Mail Exchange accounts on the iPhone.
    2. Delete old encrypted backups from iTunes.
    3. Use iExplorer or ssh to delete the file /private/var/Keychains/Keychain-2.db from the iOS filesystem. Note: this step will clear stored passwords from your device.
    4. Restart the iPhone.
    5. Connect the iPhone to your computer and open iTunes.
    6. Uncheck the box next to Encrypt iPhone backup.
    7. If prompted for a password, enter the passcode currently set on your iPhone.
When successful, iTunes should begin backing up the iPhone to an unencrypted backup. If this does not happen, start a new unencrypted backup manually.

  • Hi I just want to change the address on my account?

Hi how do I change the address on my account

You may be able to log in to your iTunes account using your Apple ID and change your address. You can also access your information by going to AppleID.Apple.com (use lowercase letters). You can also talk with an Applecare customer service rep at 800-275-2273. Good luck.

  • HT5312 How am I supposed to freaking add a rescue email if I can't remember my stupid questions?!?! I just want to change the dang answers so I can remember them! Please help me.

Help... I just got my iPhone and want to buy something on iTunes but it is the first time that I have bought something on this device and I cannot remember my security questions! I tried to change them but I need a resume email address and to get a rescue email address you need to know your security questions. -_- This is really stupid. Help please?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Start here, and reset your security questions, you will receive an email to your rescue address, use the link in the email and reset your security questions.
If that doesn't help or you don't have a rescue address, you might try contacting Apple through iTunes Store Support
