Sorry to hear that DO NOT post your details here. Simply call the Network that you are on, also you need to contact if you have any insurance on it. Hopefully you can trace it using the Find my phone App.

Sync it with your computer and de select the media categories you no longer wish on your device.

What is too complex? If you said that you are in China, then look up about how to contact Apple China. If you look at the online Apple stores, then there is a China online store.

i'm shamain silva,now i live in sri lanka.while im in dubai,i bought a iphone,when im on my bussiness work someone stole my mobile,so icomplained it to srilankan policewith the IMEI NO and all other my details,under referance no of C.I.B 4 12/144 SEEDUWA POLICE STATION.I hered from mouth to mouth from others that they were saying,if its stolen by some one,they can change the IMEI NO and use it back,so the police never find out the mobile,so i want to know,whether its correct or wrong ?

As far as being able to change the IMEI, I'm sure if the person hacking the iPhone is good enough that it IS possible. However your every day thief would not be that good I am sure.
It might also be possible for you to track the device yourself if you had enabled Find My iPhone in Settings>iCloud.

all you can do is check that activation lock is not enabled you will not ever get the iPhone to work if thee owner has not or does not release the iPhone

You've already been told that nobody here can help you. These are user to user forums. You are not addressing Apple by posting here, so I don't know why you think anyone here would have access to Apple's systems in order to check for such information.

You could always READ the article from which the question was posted as it explictily details how to find the IMEI and several other identifying numbers. Including ways to find them in iTunes without the phone.

Apple (and no one else) can not assist (with serial number or iCloud) in finding a lost or stolen iPad.
Report to police along with serial number. Change all your passwords.

It cannot be traced. The service provider can block registration of the phone if it is a US carrier based on the IMEI. If you have the serial number Apple can tell you the IMEI. However, many stolen phones are shipped to other countries, where IMEI blocking for phones from other countries may not be honored. And a sophistcated thief or fence can change the IMEI.
If your friend did not have a passcode lock on the phone they should immediately change all passwords for email, twitter, facebook, bank sites - essentially anywhere that they use a password. Even if the phone had a passcode lock it is safer to change the passwords.

in israel the cellullar company buy the gsm a1429 but i do resherch and the cellullar band of gsm a1429 and the cdma a1429 are rhe same (in the cdma even more then the gsm a1429)
another problem is in israel it will cost 1250 dollar(5000 shekel) i heard that is have some place in ny that sold the gsm a1429 radioshack and hhgregg so what to do
