HT4061 ipad doesn't move beyond language selection brand new
help I am a teacher with new Ipad2 and I have charged the thing, but it doesn't move past the language selection. I have a class to learn about it in a couple of hours but I can't get it to respond. I have looked up troubleshooting and done the on off, pressing the on/off, holding the home and on/off for several seconds...... help please!

I just purchased a ipad 2 and have not sync it yet. I have an old pc and would like to move the itunes library account to a newer pc that I have. Can I move the library to the ipad and sync ipods to the ipad and/or move the library to the new pc?

But I must point out that leaving the iPhoto Library on the external is worth considering. Your internal drive would be better off without having to carry the photos.
When you booted with the external connected and you were asked for the library, did you try navigating to the Library in on the external drive? -

From your post I understand that your iPad is currently locked due to entering in the incorrect password too many times, due to not being able to pull up the Russian keyboard when entering the passcode. Given that time has passed, you should be able to tap on the globe icon next to the space bar on the keyboard to change which keyboard language is shown on the device.
Change the language
If more than one keyboard is on, you can change the language while typing with two methods:
Tap the Next Keyboard key to choose the next language. The chosen language shows on the Space bar.
Touch and hold to display a menu of the enabled keyboards.
Drag to choose a new keyboard.
In iOS 6 and later, the language of the keyboard determines the language of the dictionary, if one is available for the language. To get the definition of a word, select the word and tap Define (if it's available).

I received right now a brand new iPad Air2 wifi 64 GB. How do I transfer ALL MY DATA from another iPad Air wifi 32 GB ?
Back up your old one. I use and prefer iTunes, but back up all the data, etc.
Then unplug it. Plug your new one in and go through the setup steps. When you see the option to set up as new or restore from the backup you just made, choose that and your new iPad will be a near clone of the old one.

Syncing iPad2 doesn't move all photos selected in iTunes from the PC folder.
In iTunes 10.5 I select a folder where I heve the photos to be sync to iPad2 and I select all sub-folders. On iPad some folders appear completly empty and others with just some photos. The number of photos identified ion iTunes after selecting the folders is correct (9470) but it passes much less. I've already cleared the iPod cahe file so iTunes can recreate it but the problem remains. This was already occuring before ugrading to iOS5 but it seams now is worst. Does anyone have experienced this situation?

I had similar problem. Files that were not transferred had either no file-ending (.tif and .jpg-files without these endings are not synct) or a wrong ending (.pdf for example).
And the Apple-Hotline told me, a next iPod-software-update would allow a better sorting photos on the iPod. (Actually you can not use folders in folders, and all Photoes are sorted by date; a little help may be a count-number at the beginning of the file-name: 01.... 02.... 03... This helps, however it is not a good work for so many photos as you have.) -
Mail doesn't work properly on my brand new MacPro
I receive mails with hours delay - if at all. Reading the Support Communities apparently it is not only me. I have hotmail, Gmail, exchange, ICloud mailadresses, same problem with all of them.

Select all your mailboxes, and then select
Mailbox ▹ Export Mailbox...
from the Mail menu bar. Export the mailboxes to the Desktop folder.
Make a note of the settings for all your Mail accounts – everything you'd need to reconstruct the settings from scratch.
Quit Mail. Then select
▹ Force Quit...
from the menu bar. A small window will open with a list of running applications. Mail may appear in that list, even though you quit it. If so, select it and press return. Close the window.
In the Finder, hold down the option key and select
Go ▹ Library
from the menu bar. Move the following items from the folder that opens to the Desktop:
Application Support/AddressBook/MailRecents-v4.abcdmr
Containers/com.apple.mail
Containers/com.apple.MailServiceAgent
Mail
Note: you are not moving the Mail application. You’re moving a folder named “Mail.”
Launch Mail. It will behave as if you were setting it up for the first time. Go through the setup process with one of your accounts, using the information you noted earlier. Test. Same problem?
If there’s no improvement, quit Mail again and put back the items you moved to the Desktop, replacing any newer ones that may have been created in their place. You don’t need to replace the items you moved to the Trash.
If the issue is resolved, recreate the rest of your Mail settings, then import the mailboxes you exported:
File ▹ Import Mailbox...
This step should not be necessary with IMAP or Exchange mailboxes, because they synchronize automatically with the server. Nevertheless, if the mailboxes are very large, importing them may spare you the need for a long download.
Test. If Mail is still working, delete the items on the Desktop and close the Finder window. -
Purchased an IPad 2 and will be giving my first generation IPad to my wife. What is the easiest way to re-set the old IPad to make it ready for a new user?
Is it simply the Restore command in ITunes?Do a full sync/ back up of the old one first. Then you can sync the new one to the old backup. When you are all ready, on the i pad, goto system . General . Reset. and select erase all content. Turns the old one into out of the box condition.

Movie purchased on iPad doesn't appear on Apple TV
Last week, my son purchased the SD version of Terminator 2 on his iPad and, after syncing to our iMac, we have been able to watch the movie on the computer, my iPhone and an iPod touch. However, the movie doesn't appear in the movies that are listed under the "computers" tab of the home screen of my 2d gen Apple tv.
Of course, I have home sharing set to all of my Apple devices, so that isn't the problem. Additionally, I have the latest version of iTunes, OS X and iOS on the devices. Interestingly, all of the other movies that I have in my movies library in iTunes on my iMac show up on the Apple tv menu - EXCEPT T2!
For what it's worth, I noticed that Terminator 2 is not available to rent on my Apple tv; I don't know if that's merely a coincidence, or an actual explanation for my problem.
Can anyone offer me any insight as to why the T2 movie that was purchased from iTunes on an iPad doesn't even appear on my Apple tv? Is there some kind of default setting that only allows the Apple tv to stream movies that were purchased from the home sharing computer from which it is streaming content, in my case, the iMac?

Music on ipad does not play or move beyond 0:00
music library can be viewed but does not play, the timer doesnt move beyond 0:00?
I have the same issue. I tried to sync again, but this does not work either anymore. All this worked until a short while ago. I tried manual management of music. But the music that shows up in the music app on the ipad (from previous sync, does not show in the music menu in itunes when the ipod is connected. When I manually move music to the ipad music menu in itunes it shows up with the open dashed circles. But this is not the same as what shows up in the ipad music app. I am confused.

Have you contacted app support or maybe view this video from the website? Are you trying to play them within the app itself? Did you double tap on the video that you want to watch?

Ok, I've looked at some of the posts, all great posts. But, none answer my question. I have the Apple TV And I do not have a Apple TV remote control. I use the remote app on my iPad to control the Apple TV.. I'm a huge Anime fan and some are in Japanese with the option to watch in English Dub. It defaults and starts up in Japanese and I don't know how to use my Remote App to select the English versions of the shows I want to watch. Does the remote app have the ability to do language select?
I just got off the phone with Netflix support. Specifically for Iron Man 2 and one of the Transformers movies it's a known issue. There is a temporary fix:
1. Sign in to netflix.ca
2. Change your account settings for video quality to anything except Best/HD.
And that's it. I just tested it myself and it worked. He said you may have to wait an hour for the changes to come into effect, but I just logged out and then logged in to my Apple TV Netflix and it was done.
He also mentioned this is a temporary workaround and they are working on it. Basically when they rent movies for use, they are given a package of different qualities and languages and they accidentally put the French HD in the English HD "slot".

Hang on dragging window which is initializing in Openbox
Hi guys, Has anyone else experienced this problem? If I open a window in Openbox and then drag the window whilst the program within is still loading up fully I get a complete system hang. Window and mouse are frozen and only Alt+SysRq REISUB will get
